Review from Apostle rod S

The reason for this review is because the many times I have complained to employees about employees concerning their disrespect and how they treat me when I come. They all have lied on me this time saying that I assaulted someone with a Bible ??Which never happened because I don't bring my Bible when I donate at this plasma center. They don't know what they just did. They also tried to assault me today before I left and yelled at me. The lord told me,(because I am an apostle of ***** ****** at a local church, that they all were lying on me because they don't want me there. When I come, I bother no one and pray silently until my donation is over. Then they tried to tell me if I wanted to continue to donate that I had to get a primary doctor to do a psychiatric evaluation on me to determine if i im mentally stable enough to keep coming there. Looks like to me that they are the ones who need psychiatric help, don't you think? Then they lied and said I told someone there, an employee, that someone was going to rob me and shoot me in the parking lot. I'm saying to myself, when did this happen? God is not mocked. I was just on the phone with a woman of God last night that said that God said he is bringing judgment to our enemies and it looks like this plasma center is now my enemy so I don't have to do anything. I don't threaten no one. I'll just get on my knees and put them in God's hands and he will deal with them. You don't disrespect a child of God and think you will get away with it. It doesn't work like that.Review from Bea N

This review is specifically for the ******* location. I was with Biolife for nearly a year. All was well until one of the newer techs messed up. The machine went off several times in a row, and I kept having to flag the attendant down. In addition, the normal few second pinch continued. She looked at the machine, didn't see anything wrong, asked me if I wanted to continue to donate and I said yes. I asked for a supervisor. Another person came over and moved the arm that I was resting on, and that eased it up. I completed my donation. When the attendant pulled the blood pressure wrap off, I knew something wasn't right. My arm appeared to be swollen and also sore. She wrapped me and I went straight to a nurse. I briefly saw two of them and left. I ended up having bruising and had to take pain medication, use ice, and heat. I received a call three days after my initial visit to informed me I was permanently banned. When I was given a reason I replied that it was fabricated nonsense. She told me that I could appeal the decision. I was told the report stated, undocumented recent complaints of extreme pain. The site director told me they do not ban for undocumented anything and then left for holiday vacation. A supervisor then reviewed my case. She looked at my past donations and said there was nothing she could see that would have flagged a ban (also known as a deferral). I was able to share with her my side of the story and I felt she really cared. She also saw my arm as well as pictures. She filed a request to have me reinstated. However, the case went back to the same doctor that banned me initially, and he banned me a second time. I was told that I would never be able to donate at another Biolife center across the **. A perfect track record of nearly a year of completed donations and they believed internal fabrications with no documentation of proof. I was left in shock and deeply hurt. Keep this in mind as you consider your options.Review from Atlantis H

The hygiene of this place goes against everything I was ever taught in nursing school. We are taught to wash and scrub our hands for 30 seconds between patients. In fact not doing so during the state test is an automatic failure. Blood is microscopic, there is no such thing as being safe while handling blood and not changing gloves and touching the next patient. I have asked them to stop emailing and they will not. I have specifically demanded to be taken off of their donor list and to stop being spammed with emails. They have failed to respect my request and this was my response. Dear Atlantis, Thank you for your feedback. At this time, I regret to inform you we will not be able to cancel your account due to regulations. Also, the glove change practice was developed in consultation with a leading infectious disease expert and in accordance with current **** guidance. Our employees wear gloves to provide an additional barrier to protect their skin against potential exposures to blood and other potentially infectious materials. Gloves are changed when they are exposed to blood or other potentially infectious material , or after one or two hours. Most importantly, before the plasmapheresis needle is inserted, the arm is carefully disinfected for thirty seconds according to our procedures to eliminate the risk of infection. A donor may request an employee changes their gloves at any time, and we will happily oblige. Thank you for donating with us! My next step is to sue them for electronic harassment. This is my second time contacting the BBB over this business. The first time I was not paid for a donation. A pathetic $95, my vein missed by a phlebotomist with her hair hanging to her put. The day I filed a report with the BBB, this year on September 22, I had my money that same day. I had talked to a manager, and it did nothing. Contacting BBB only reason I got paid . This company is money hungry and unethical and needs to stop harassing me immediately.Review from Nicole O

I donated plasm 3 times and was supposed to get $160. Biolife made me use their prepaid card system which is a racket to take the money you sell your plasma for. They stole every ***** off my prepaid card and won't refund me.Review from Priscila C

I have been donating for years at the same location in ************, **. Tonight I went there and I was waiting to donate when they finally came and said they had an issue in the system and I was not going to be able to donate. I asked if I was getting paid. The manager came and with a lot of arrogance, told me that he applied a coupon to my account and I could go back the next day. However, that would totally mess up my other coupon. I needed to donate 2x to get paid that week. He told me to move to a different area and I asked if I was still getting paid. He said: I don't know. I said: I drove here for nothing and you don't know if I am getting paid or not? I just need an answer. Next thing, he said he was gonna call the police on me. Tried to get me in a room with him (no idea why as I NEVER threatened him). Meanwhile, a random white man starts yelling in front of everyone that I was wrong and that they should call the police on me. This was an explicit case of DISCRIMINATION. I am a Latina woman. I did absolutely nothing to receive the treatment I received. The manager treated me like I was less than human. If you pull the camera, he had this smile on his face all the time and was RUDE for no reason, really acting like he was above me and I had no right to ask for an explanation at all. I will continue to escalate this issue through all channels.Review from Michael H

Don't waste your time. I've been donating blood and plasma for ten years now at *********. When my friend referred me to this place saying I could get paid cash I went straight there and I'm sorry I ever went. They made me come back 3 times and obtain a doctor's release all because I had a minor surgery 3 months prior. I took their preprinted release to my doctor, he signed it then dropped it at BioLife. I received a call from them saying I was now cleared. I made an appointment to donate and upon arrival they deferred me again. The woman in the office there said I wasn't released and then left me sitting in her office while she took care of another donated. This was my 4th attempt at donating at this place. So I left never to return again. They make things up to turn donations away and pick and choose who gets to donate and when. Total **** show full of employees not wanting to do their jobs. I wasted so much gas and time to be treated like c*** by them I'll never go back. ***, I did some checking and this is a Japanese owned company based in ***** and not even registered with the BBB. Not sure why they're even here I think I'll ask **** ******* to check into these guys as they don't seem legit.Review from Avia H

I went to the Biolife in *****, *****. The first visit was 2 years ago and I was refused service due to having my service dog with me. The second time 2 years later my service dog had passed away, so I thought I'd try again with donating and was refused due to not having him with me.(even though I was turned down the first time for having a service dog.) So now with him passed on I have to prove I can do it with out him. Fair enough made an appointment with my doctor got the ok. First donation went fine, 2nd donation they left my arm bruised to the point it was wrapped all the way around my arm and my elbow had water balloon sized sack of fluid popping out of my elbow. Then have me waste over an hour to be told I have to restart the whole process. I then asked to file a complaint which I was told to do online after the manager did not want to hear my complaint at all and asked me to leave. An hour later they called me to inform me that I am no longer allowed to donate with them. They had no sense of bed side manner or professionalism at all. They were rude and short with all interactions. The nurse and reception is were the only exceptions. In all I feel like they were trying to punish me for having the gall to complain about their unprofessional way of handling customer service or injuring me as well. All in all bad experience and would strongly advise against using their services.
