              Most of the time when I visit our Aldi store on ***************** in ********** the carts won't separate after I put the quarter in the slot then I can't get my quarter back either. I've tried pushing on the quarter and pulling on the latch at the same time. I'm 73 and have to lift our 40 lb. granddaughter into the cart then lift her back out if the cart won't unlock. At times I had to do this 3 times before one would come loose. A good while back I wrote to Aldi about the problem but as far as I know didn't get a reply. It's very annoying to try to get these cars to unlatch. Today it was even more annoying when I told a clerk that I had lost a quarter in one of the carts. He said that he couldn't just give me another quarter. It's best to reach me by email.

              This is just my experience with Aldi pickup.DO NOT utilize the pickup option unless you are prepared for the overall charge to come out of your account TWICE- and stay that way for days. They don't tell you beforehand that the "holding amount" can take up to a week to not show on your account. I have never had this issue using ******* pickup. Their holding charge has never come out at the same time as the end amount. So, clearly, it is possible to not charge people this way. Aldi's pickup system is a horrible way to do business, and their customer service is no help. It's ironic that part of their marketing scheme is saying how they have the lowest prices. So, they're "saving" you money. But when it comes to payment issues- well, those overdraft fees are just my problem. Have the day you deserve, Aldi.
