A $15 ALDI electronic gift card was also offered to the customer, which they accepted. Customer was satisfied with our efforts to resolve this matter, and they do not require further follow up.       I began shopping at Aldis recently, picking up everyday essentials, and have been very happy with the items. Recently, my husband's health changed and I've needed to change items he could eat. I picked up 2 frozen dinners, one was Lobster Mac and Cheese and the other was Lobster and Shrimp Bake. Both show a very adequate amount of shrimp and Lobster on the front. Unfortunately, this is false advertisement at its worse. There's some kind of "filling" in these items that had the taste of tomato paste but nothing resembles seafood. The box does say "shrimp and Lobster blended with ricotta and tomato" and construed as stirred together, certainly not chopped. Neither of these frozen dinners have merit of being Lobster or shrimp.

      I did an online pickup order that was very large on 4/25/24. I was in a hurry to get home and once I started unpacking the order I noticed several things were missing. My order had a total of 53 items missing! I had to do a dispute through instacart because you can't get any help through Aldi, they won't even talk to you. Instacart has suspended my account for irregularities and now I'm having to fight with them to prove I guess that I am not lying about my items being missing. They owe me a total of $118.51 for the missing items and I was told by instacart that it would credit back to my account and I could shop anywhere else to replace the items but now I can't even get into my account and they won't respond to my emails or speak to me over the phone.

      4/24/24 my card info was stolen and used at a aldi store in another state I tried reaching out to aldi to get the pending charge stopped. They basically told me there is nothing they can do gave me a case number said they would forward the info and I should contact my bank. I have contacted my bank but they can't do anything until the charge posts. I've dealt with this type of issue before and the store canceled the pending charge. Not sure why aldi won't but also just trying to get in touch with them was a hassle. Essentially a fraud charge and they are just ignoring the issue the charge was for something while they were closed. Bad business and support in my eyes to not stop two separate charges

      4/12/24 est. time 7:30 The manager harassed me verbally in front of approx. 15 customers self-checking their groceries. He ordered me to go to the register so his cashier can scan my groceries. I said NO I want to self-check out my groceries . That made him mad because he came over to me as I was checking out my groceries and he told me I have to put all my rung up groceries next to the register. I said where does it say that in writing? I told him I and the rest of the customers scanning their groceries put it directly into their grocery cart. Then to further harass me he physically got in my personal space with his arms crossed and starred at me while I scanned my groceries. I got really flustered by his abuse that I told him to go to the other 5 registers and correct all the other customers putting their groceries directly into cart as I was doing. He stayed in my personal space starring at me with his non-verbal inappropriate attitude. I suffered a panic attack for 2days after enduring his harrassmrnt.

      I received a call from the regional complaint administrator for ALDIs. She stated they reviewed the security camera film. She justified the assist manager PROFILING me as Aged being slow and Heritage (Hispanic). She told me the reason why the *** Manager was in my space was because he assumed because I had I cost items in my cart I would have the probability of stealing. I was in shock when she admitted to that, I told her was going to hang up. I am a loyal customer of *********************** for many years. Never in my life have I ever been discriminated before until now. I am a Disabled Veteran USAF 20 yrs of service. I request that the Dis Complaint Officer and *** Manager be reprimanded and retrained to work with customers/ people in general ( Trat all people with dignity and respect)!

      On Sunday, April 14th at around 7:33 PM, I accepted a DoorDash order consisting of 60+ items from Aldi, located at **********************************************************************. Despite my initial reluctance due to the store's impending closing time at 8:00 PM, I proceeded to fulfill the order diligently. By 7:58 PM, I had obtained approximately 97% of the items.However, I encountered multiple issues during my time at the store. Firstly, the manager approached me in an unprofessional manner, instructing me to finish quickly without even a greeting. Moreover, while I was still searching for the remaining items, the manager began closing down sections of the store without considering my need for assistance. Despite my polite inquiry about the location of an item, her response was quite rude, dismissive and very unhelpful.As someone with extensive experience in customer service, I understand the importance of providing assistance and maintaining professionalism, which she did not display, especially towards customers still present past closing time. Instead, the manager, identified as ******, exhibited rude behavior and failed to offer any assistance in locating the remaining items. Her conduct not only hindered my efficiency but also reflected poorly on the store's commitment to customer service.I believe that in such situations, employees should prioritize assisting customers to ensure a positive experience, even if it means staying later than the scheduled closing time. Unfortunately, ******'s actions fell short of this expectation, leaving me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.In conclusion, I urge management to address this matter promptly and provide appropriate training to staff members regarding customer service etiquette and assistance protocols, particularly during closing hours. Failure to address such issues may result in a decline in customer satisfaction and loyalty towards the store. I ended up leaving the store at about 8:10-8:12 PM.

      April 11, 2024 Regarding ALDI. This Grocery Store card readers are forcing customers to accept cash-back when none was request. The card readers apparently are sensitive to touch with 1/2 second interval before commencing to dispense cash unbeknown to customer. The cashier refuse to void transaction and when supervisor intervene basically said, that unfortunate and there nothing that can be done. Credit card cash-back to customers are forced to accept not only cash unintentionally tapped but also have to contend with compound interest for withdrawing cash from the credit card (without a pin). This is the makings for a class action lawsuit somewhere down the pipeline. If this has happened to you, file a complaint with the ************************ as soon as possible.I have filed a complaint with their regional office, yet feel unheard. This has happened many times before because the worker said, when this happens there is nothing we can do about it. They asked me to show them what I did. I tapped my card then as fault finders do said, see it was your finger. Ridiculous response and to say that to customer is false information. Knowing I did not punch an amount for cash-back. The transaction could have been voided and/or reversed for refund. They forced me to take $100 from my credit card that I did not request from the card reader for cash-back. Apparently, this has happened many times. It is wrong not to void the transaction when customer did not request cash-back. Do not use tap to pay for items at Aldi grocery stores. Don't let it happen to you. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau in hopes that their card readers allow customers the chance to decline cash-back in any amount. A 1/2 of second with a sensitive card-reader is unacceptable business practice. And the refusal to void the transaction or reverse for refund is fraudulent and negligent.

      At the end of February, I bought a bag of apples, and each apple was rotten inside. I thought it was just a few dollars, but my child and I ate the apples without knowing it. I ate 2 apples at night and had diarrhea for about 7 days, and my child ate one and had diarrhea 3 times for 2 consecutive days. On the 29th, I contacted Aldi customer service, and they said they would send me a kit, but I didnt receive it for more than a month. They said they would compensate me 10dollars. but I didnt want it. Their attitude doesnt care about the health of customers, and they are all official responses. I didnt expect that the day before yesterday, I bought a bag of tangerine , and 3 of them were moldy and rotten. Does Aldi care so little about the health of customers! I made at least 8 calls today, and every time the customer service took the case number and transferred the call to other departments, no one answered and automatically hung up my phone! Its terrible. Later, I wanted to contact the manager, and the manager said that it had been a month since the apples. The case was closed because it took too long (no one called me in this month, and I waited for a month and didnt receive the kit. How could it be my problem?). The tangerine > manager told me to return it to the store. Oh my god! Why dont they respond to moldy and rotten food? I still have to drive to the store to return it. Whose fault is this? I kept all the photos and videos and also I did send photos and videos to aldi emails .moldy and rotten fruits Cant image!

      On March 21, 2024 I was at one of your registers while my girlfriend was on register 4 doing a doordash order. I put down my box of items I have purchased that totalled $18.16 to help my girlfriend bag her customers items and when she was done we left and I left my box of items and receipt there on the ledge by register number 4. Well be time we dropped off that door dash order Aldi's closed and you can't call the store and get through to someone to let them know. I live in Greensburg and I went back on March 23, 2024 because we work and I figured with their cameras and my bank statement showing I paid for my items I left there wouldn't be a problem and now there is. The lady who tried to help said I had to come back tomorrow to talk with her gm or call a number and get my refund but they said in the store they couldn't find anything on nothing and without my receipt before telling me to come back tomorrow and talk to her gm that there's nothing they can do I will have to pay for my items again. So not only I paid for items I left and someone stole or put back they're won't help me but waste my time but how can they say I could call a number to get a refund or come back tomorrow and they have cameras they can see us at their location purchasing the items and seeing that I left them behind and then see if anyone else stole my items I paid for. All I want is my money back for the items I purchased and accidently left behind. I can show my bank statement and I already gave the lady who tried to help me my credit card number today.

      On or about October 2023 I went shopping at the ************ Aldi as i used to do weekly. I went to use the self checkout to give the 1 cashier a break as it was a busy that time of day. I had a bunch of stuff including a large pack of toilet paper and large pack of paper towels. I scanned my small items and went to use the hand scanner for the bigger items. The hand scanner was not functioning. I tried it a couple of times thinking someone would be over to see what was wrong. No one showed so i picked up the 2 large paper products and scanned them on the main scanner. I then left the store. Starting with the next time i went to a national retailer (Target) I overheard the security guy on the ********** the ***************** watching the self checkouts to watch him (me the only guy at the self checkouts) because he puts items in both hands when scanning them . I was immediately ****** off because I knew this came from Aldi ,the only store I will grab 2 items at a time to scan. Since that day at Aldi I have had problems with security getting practically in my face at every single national store I have went to . The girl at the Dollar Tree store gave me a hint what was going on when she told me the red light came on when i walked in. It is obvious that Aldi is violating US law when putting people on a national shoplifters list that was never arrested of shoplifting. If there was a question about my scanning it should of been handled by Aldi the day in question. As a 61 year old veteran that recently retired from a job with USASOC and had to maintain a security clearance to do the job, this really strikes a nerve with me. I want this BS removed immediately and if Aldi continues to violate US law and I here about it I will go to 60 ********** show and the national news agencies.

      I am rejecting this response because: Aldi stated they don't use AI in there stores and I found news stories online saying they do . I was lied to and does nothing to get me off the national database of suspected shoplifters. After the incident at the local Aldi store the next time I went into Aldi a store employee pretended to be checking out next to me watching me scan all my items. They are ,like almost all national retailers using this illegal database and software.
