I noticed a charge on my bank account for $135, with a company I wasnt familiar with, Mepco. I called to find out what the charge was and request a refund. I spoke to **** the manager and he said I was accidentally subscribed and that he would cancel the subscription and Id receive a refund within a week but its been well over a week. So I called him again, today 02/09/25 and when I asked him where my refund was, he said I dont know. I asked him when I can expect my refund and he said I dont know. In fact he said I dont know to every single question I asked. He was very unprofessional saying I dont know to everything and he seemed very suspicious. The name of the company is Mepco. I didnt authorize this charge and Im trying to get my money back and I was informed that I would receive my money back.Business Response

I spoke with ********* from the warranty company on March 25th and I explained I did not want the service. He asked if he dropped the price would I consider. He stated he would send me the information regarding the contract where he will lower the price from $235 to $168 so I can see what's included. He referred to it as a 30-day research and asked for a credit card explaining it was policy. I had no idea he created a contract until I received it. I immediately called the number they gave me. I called many times and could not get them to cancel the contract. They said I had to pay a late fee or they would not cancel the policy. Asking for my credit card number tricked me into the contract. I immediately called the credit card company and put a hold on the card. I called many times to have this contract canceled before the 30-day notice after the date I spoke with ********* who created the policy on the date we spoke on the phone. ********* did not have my permission to create a contract. I will attach my phone bill showing the many calls I made to try and get this resolved and they would not. Also attached is a copy of a letter to cancel the coverage and a return receipt. This policy still was not canceled. They said if I paid the late fee they could cancel.Business Response

I purchased a platinum home warranty plan from the said mentioned company 10/19/2023. Since the time of purchase, this company has not covered any of the four requests that was made on my behalf. The company denied to replace a garbage disposal, parts to my washing machine, replace a thermostat and a hot water tank. This company faithfully takes the amount of money out of my account each month. I have not cancelled because I continued to work with this company, and I would have purchased the contract effective June 2025. At this time, I will not be responsible for payment for one year. I don't understand how a company, such as this, can get away with denying coverage for almost anything that can go wrong in your home. This was my intentions for purchasing the warranty in the first place.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The complaint should have notified and have been forwarded to Integrity (Sing for Service), LLC, d/b/s of MEPCO. It was my intentions to make the complaint against Integrity not MEPCO since MEPCO only is responsible for handling the accounts of Integrity. Integrity is sole responsible for any and all repairs that rejected in my claim. At the time, I was under the assumption that MEPCO was conducting the rejections, but they informed me that they only handle the payment accounts for Integrity.Therefore, I will pursue my justification with Integrity and not MEPCO

The lady who called me said she was with carsheild and explained a lawsuit settlement that would be giving me better coverage at a lower price. I had been ignoring the unknown local number she called on but accidentally picked up this time she said this was the last attempt to offer me this new price if I hadnt answered this time. I should have known it was a scam when she asked for my card number that she wasnt allowed to look up for me. I called carsheild they said mepco had nothing to do with carsheild so I called the bank to stop mepco transactions that showed on my bank account as auto ********************** center for $94.00 autopay monthlyBusiness Response

I canceled a contract on February 26 because I bought a different car and I had an excellent new program they kept harassing me and I was very nice. I said respectfully listen I dont need the contract. They didnt like the idea I wanted to cancel I could not use whatthey had to offer. They are still charging me because they have access to my bank even though they kept calling me over and over and I told them tocancel. They dont listen. They think they can force coverage on me for a **** that the dealership has Im driving a ****** with a different plan Now I have to wonder if my bank could put a stop pay on the check or if I need a new bank account When you tell someone no it is no they make me feel like Im being raped by my boyfriend you tell your boyfriend no and he doesnt listen and he rapes you anyway I am so disgusted with these people. How dare they push something on me I dont want? when I say no I mean it I dont have to justify anything. They just have to respect my answer. 1/02/2025-3/15/2025 Have not made payments to MEPCO. Cancelled policy with *********************** and Home Assure 12/30/2024 and MEPCO. Have replied to MEPCO each month sending their literature on how to cancel a policy. They state after non payment MEPCO will cancel policy in 30 days. Have sent copies of letters and date and time I canceled policy verbally. Have sent copies of all letters each month to Credit Card ************* Last time was 18 pages. Was charged two payments and late fees 3/04/2025 of $334.26. Set up another dispute case with C.C. and another stop pay. Today billing statement shows I have made 3 payments and starting again for 4/02/2025 for $162.13. Sending 16 pages again to MEPCO and Credit Card Co. ************* on 3/17/2025Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I have sent the paperwork to Mepco Certified Mail 3/17/2025 and it should be arriving this week. I have an open dispute case through my credit card company. I included in the paperwork to MEPCO how/why they will cancel the account for ************************* they have stated in four different documents, also copy of letter dated Dec.30 that I revoked the authorization for recurring payments. Credit card company has all of these same pages that was sent 3 times to MEPCO. If BBB did not receive these first time of complaint I am sorry I am just learning how to use this computer and don't know how to resend stated pages. I can fax them if needed. I have a Payment amount change letter from MEPCO that states payment scheduled for 01/02/2025 will be in the amount of $0.00 and will be automatically processed according to terms of payment plan agreement for product warranty I received it 1/06/2025 even though the first $162.13 was charged on 1/02/2025. I want a written letter from MEPCO that their policy is canceled and no money or late fees are due and there is a $0.00 balance. My correspondence to MEPCO is to show non payment of scheduled payments not trying to cancel Home Protection contract. That was done by letter 12/27/2024 and 12/30/2024 along with letters and phone call to Home Assure, MEPCO 12/30/24 and phone call 12/31/2024 with *****. This company does not seem to be able to find any correspondence from me. Again if the BBB needs all these copies of letters I can Fax them. I want this policy canceled and no further bills from MEPCO and a letter stating that.

A representative from ***** warranty called my 95-year-old father and convinced him that he needed a home warranty program. He has significant dementia. I called Inova and told them to cancel the policy and the person I talk to told me they would and promptly hung up. Today I got a letter from my father, indicating Mepco is going to be billing him monthly for a home warranty. He has no capacity to make that decision and I as his power of attorney I make those decisions for him. I have consequently canceled the card that he used to purchase this policy however, Im fearful that he is going to be receiving mail threatening him to continue to pay. I had contacted Innova within 30 days of the purchase and expect a full refund. Theres no excuse for preying on the elderly like this.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Even though these SCAMMERS, LIARS And THIEVES (Mepco company) Supposedly says that They, "...only services the payment plan (collection of payment)..." for their SCAMMER, LIARS And THIEVES friends over at *******************, even thought Mepco Supposedly claims to have NOTHING to do with ******************** they ARE STILL collecting payment from US Customers, which means that i KNOW that ********************** IS VERY GUILTY JUST like the ****** LIARS And THIEVES over at ******************** Back in January 30 of 2025, yes i did get charged $100 that i paid to some company for a FAKE auto insurance thing, but because i DID Desperately TRY to Cancel with ******************** i was NEVER able to locate them because they ARE ALL LIARS AND FAKE who have FAKE office numbers, that ************ is a FAKE ************ number" and even though i DID TRY to leave my name and phone number for someone to call Me back (DID call since the FIRST week of February 2025 to Cancel that FAKE auto insurance thing because it had NOT been 30 days yet), but EVERY time i called, their STUPID answering machine (A.I.) does it ON PURPOSE to NOT get our name and/or our number correct, so then i had to keep pressing the button to correct Both my name and/or number, and each time, their A.I. would STILL do it ON PURPOSE to NOT get it correct so i hung up after the third try. I started to ****** EVERY information i could find out about BOTH of these LIARS And SCAMMERS at Mepco and at ******************* And ALL of the Reviews ARE BAD about who these THIEVES ARE, so that's when i got even MORE ****** off and i decided to make my complaint on them with You (BBB), but i Still DID TRY to contact them BOTH and ALL i got were UNopened e-mails from Mepco letting Me know that those three e-mails that i Tried did NOT work, ALL three of those e-mails got sent back to Me letting Me know that there was NO one by that name (one of those FAKE e-mails is the one listed on their letter to You, BBB, and it's the one that starts with "Requests@...", and i Also DID TRY to contact ******************* with two FAKE e-mail addresses And i found four different office phone numbers and again, ALL of them were/ARE FAKE ************************** numbers that NO ONE ever answers because it's NOT a real person, IT IS a FAKE A.I. person who will NEVER pick up Nor will they ever, NEVER return our calls whenever we DO TRY to leave a message (as i said earlier, because their A.I. does it ON PURPOSE to get ALL of our names and/or our phone numbers wrong)!
This is why last week, i decided to make this complaint against Mepco with You, BBB, and this is why i will NOT be satisfied until Auto Renewal Ceneter ALSO GIVES ME BACK My FULL Refund of $100.00 that i got charged to My debit card back in January 30 of 2025, because it's NOT My **** problem that THEY BOTH do it ON PURPOSE to NOT have a REAL person working for them to answer their **** office number, so that US Customers can Cancel our policy with them BEFORE those 30 days are up! This is very big scam scheme company which uses many names to scam.- **********************- Empire Auto Protect - Endurance Auto Warranty - SING For Service LLC - MEPCO All these companies use MEPCO as "Payment Plan Provider", but in fact all operated by same ******** experience was same as many other, they told me I can try for 30 days, if don't like, can cancel and get full refund same day. Moreover, they said they'll send the contract and I can see coverages if I like it, I can sign and if not, just cancel.Then, I received the contract in about 2 weeks or so. I read it, and decided to cancel. Sent email about cancellation, and called support regarding the same. They were rude and abusive, saying "you can't cancel it unless you sell your car or total loss", while the contract says, can cancel anytime and when stopped making next payment. And at the same time when I was talking on the phone to cancel, they charged me again. I had no other choice other than disputing charges with Credit card provider.Business Response

I purchased an extended warranty with Mepco and before I put the vehicle in the shop I asked them was everything the warranty said good and they said yes. The shop contacted them and let them know what the issue was and they said that my warranty has expired. I havent had the warranty over 6 months and they still expect a payment when they didnt offer any service. When I try to talk to them they just hang up. I want a refund.Business Response
