I received an email today from Transform credit that I agreed to be a co-signer/guarantor for some person 3000$ loan. I do not know that person and when I replied to email that I do not know this person, I received automated email again saying thanks for being guarantor for this person. Seriously.Business Response

Dates of incident: October 28, 2024 October 29, 2024 I received several phone calls, emails, and SMS texts from Transform Credit addressing me as ******, saying I agreed to cosign for a loan for someone named ******** The phone calls were presenting a 4-digit verification code use in multi-factor authentication systems to verify identity. The text messages were also presenting 4-digit verification codes. I can only assume the person attempting to use my phone number to open a loan is trying every available option of obtaining the verification code necessary to "verify my identity". The emails were asking me to finish submitting my details so the loan process can continue. This is a fraudulent application. I do not know anyone named ****** or ******** and I have not agreed to cosign a loan for this person or anyone else. I contacted Transform Credit to report this issue and the response came from ******************************** with the following message:"Sorry to hear your details may have been used without your permission but be assured a loan could NEVER be paid out without us first verifying your identity. So I can cancel any application you have been named on, can you please let me know your name, along with your DOB and/or last 4 of your SSN as well as the phone number that is being used without your permission? Thanks, Transform Credit"For a company I don't know - and that has just sent me a bunch of verification code calls, texts, and emails - to ask for this personal information is alarming. Please contact Transform Credit on my behalf to put a stop to this behavior asap. I did not complete a cosigner application or any other type of application with this company. I had never heard of them until I received their calls, emails, and SMS texts today. I would like them to immediately cancel and flag any application using my phone number ******************] as fraudulent and report that application to authorities! Thank you!Business Response

On October 29, 2024 I received 2 emails from Transform Credit saying I agreed to cosign for a $3,000 loan for someone named ******. The first email was from an ***** and attached a Guaranty and Indemnity document and a copy of the Promissory Note. I didn't open the attachments. The second email was from a ***** asking me to finish submitting my details so the loan process can continue. This is a fraudulent application. I do not know anyone named ******. I have not agreed to cosign a loan for this person or anyone else. Please contact Transform Credit to put a stop to this asap. I did not complete a cosigner application or any other type of application with this company. I never heard of them until I received their emails today. Please help! Thank you for reaching out via the BBB about your recent experience with Transform Credit. We can see that you also contacted us directly, and we believe that this complaint is now resolved. However, for transparency, I will reiterate what was explained here.
We can see that you made an early payment for your loan on our mobile app on 10/24, and this payment cleared. When making an early payment, we give our customers the option to put it towards their next payment, or classify it as an optional overpayment. This feature gives our customers a way to overpay on their loan, should they wish, reducing their balance and accrued interest.
When you made this payment, you selected the option for it to be counted as an extra payment and for us to continue taking the regular payments on your due date.
As a result of this, we attempted to process another payment on 10/28 on the due date which would have resulted in a credit balance, had the payment not been returned a few days later for insufficient funds. When you contacted us on 10/29, we reviewed your account settings, immediately identified the misunderstanding and that this was not your actual intention, and updated your account so that any future payments would be applied to payments owed.
In summary, we were unable to find any fault of Transform Credit in this instance, but we appreciate that the events that occurred were as a result of a misunderstanding at the time of making the payment. We hope weve been able to clarify the events that took place and are happy that we were able to correct your account for future payments.
Your account is currently up to date and as usual, we will attempt to collect from you on the regular payment date of the 28th of November. If you wish to make an early payment again, please ensure this is done the day before your due date and, when prompted, do not choose the option for us to continue taking the regular payments.

The business has deducted $5 from my bank account each month for the last 3 months. I called about a month ago to to understand what was going on and what the charge was about. I want unaware that when I applied for a loan that I would be signing up for the monthly charge. I was denied the loan so I did not realize I needed to cancel anything as I didn't not realize I had also unknowingly signed up for a monthly service with a charge. I was told the account was cancelled and I would receive a refund. The charge is still coming out of my account but I have figured out how to cancel it. I tried again to call. the number listed on the website you are unable to speak with anyone and there is just a recording that hangs up on you. I tried emailing and they have yet to provide me with a working number to speak with anyone in order to resolve this problem.Business Response

I was reading my credit report and a Loan from *Transform credit* is on my report and I have not now or ever heard of this business until it showed up on my report. The loan was not me and when I look up the site to dispute and get it removed the only form of contact I get is an email address. There is no listed number to call. I recently did an online application for a loan with 'Transform Credit" during the process I discovered they were no forthright with details about the process. A $5.00 deduction occurred with my bank acct. That resulted in a negative acct. balance. I informed them via emails to reverse the acct. transaction and close and cancel the acct. and don't send me further emails. These events occurred between 10/18/24 and 10/21/24.Business Response
