Dear TransUnion Investigations Department, I am writing to bring to your immediate attention an unauthorized hard inquiry that has been fraudulently placed on my credit report, maintained by your bureau. The inquiry in question, initiated by ************** on 05/01/2025, was conducted without my knowledge, authorization, or consent and is a direct consequence of identity theft. I am asserting my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S. Code 1681c2, which provides specific protections for victims of identity theft. As such, I am formally requesting that this inquiry be investigated and permanently removed from my credit file. This fraudulent activity has compromised the integrity of my credit report and exposed me to unwarranted financial risk. Please be advised that I did not apply for any credit, services, or accounts with the aforementioned company.
