    I am so shocked by all these reviews say. This has NOT been my experience. HomeChef has been a great experience. Every order has been on time, complete, and in excellent condition. The ingredients are best quality. I have received exactly one lemon that wasn't usable. This is out of 15 meal kits. I find the website and app both very user-friendly. I love the interface that allows you to view and edit the orders, and even skip weeks or pause the subscription. Yes, you have to pay attention; I have accidentally not skipped a week before the deadline, and yep, was charged and got the shipment. Go figure; it's almost like they have a subscription service with a required deadline because they're shipping fresh food.I like their referral program; I only wish you got credits for more than just the first order they place. I convinced my mom to try it out and as soon as her first order was confirmed, I got an email and the credit was in my HomeChef account for the next week. A family emergency took my mother away from home that exact same week, so I contacted customer service. Explaining the situation and that the food would be used by another individual in need, I still inquired if there was any way to give my mom some credit on her order. **************** responded within hours that they were crediting my mom's whole first order for her and that she could use it for her next order. And they didn't revoke my credit for her referral, even though it had been refunded to her. I am sorry to hear that so many people have had bad experiences with this company. All I can say is that my experience has been 100% positive. I refer as many people as I can to try this service. My one "complaint" is that I do not know that we can afford full-time home Chef service on our budget. Not to say that their service is not worth it, it is! It is worth every dollar. Unfortunately, our grocery budget just doesn't always allow for it.

    It could have been worse but not much. Very bad overall experience. I agree with others. You can NOT cancel I have tried and tried All they will do is "pause" which means you have to put a block on any transactions with them through your payment source I guess. Still working on it. I went into review (because of repeated offers) their set up and menus. I did a sign up because I thought I had to to review the menus Still confused on that. I was given no opportunity to choose anything. First thing I know when looking at ****** I realize they had charged me and on digging realized a box was on the way I got a set of four meals (their plan is set up to be delivered ocne a week). All four meals said "use within four days". What's the point in having meals that have to be used within four days when you are planning for a week? The box came on Monday afternoon. This morning, Thursday, I had to throw out ingredients that were bad in two of the meals. I had cooked two of the meals. The meals I received were not something I would eat (I did not choose) I don't do spicey at all. They were used for GD. When dealing with **************** I got half the money they took out of me back. I tried several times to get explanations and results with **************** but it did not work well at all. I am still working on CANCELING the account I have blocked them on ****** In this case glad I used ****** because fwiw it did add a layer of security. ***: I learned their customer service is based in ********. I feel they are bad and a waste. I wish others good luck but they definitely did me wrong.

    This company reels you in with a discount deal and then make it EXTREMELY difficult to cancel. They only let you pause HOWEVER I have caught them charging and sending me boxes anyway after pausing. I recently paused my account and after that week a box shows up at my door. And Ive been through the ******* with customer service. They take DAYS to respond. And to zero satisfaction when they do. Use HelloFresh they are reliable and wont scam you.

    Hi there, our oven-ready meals are different than our kits and can be found towards the bottom of the menu. These meals are pre-prepared and require minimal prep. For microwave options, you can check out our sister company, Tempo meals.

    When I have received an actual order properly they are good, but that's only less than half the time. I live in a gated community. We each own our houses that have proper front doors with proper addresses and they are on proper streets. The back of our houses face alleyways. They look like streets but they have no address and there's no street signs anywhere on them. These Alleyways go to our back garages in the back of our houses. These are where we pull out our cars for my garages to go places. These are not places where we accept deliveries. Every other time I get an order, which means every other week, it is not delivered at the front door like I requested but it's delivered at my garage. I give specific instructions to deliver to my front door, the only address for my house has listed on an actual named Road. Over half the time it is delivered at my garage or even worse, in the mud at my back garden gate. I am constantly calling to ask them to follow instructions. I am constantly told they do. That GPS led them rhete. HOW????? I give them my STREET ADDRESS!! Our back allies do not have street addresses. There're not even any street signs or street names on them! Street addresses are to streets that lead to our front doors!! Did they not learn in school how to do deductive thinking and reasoning? Every single time I called in and every single time I'm told they will escalate this and speak to the driver but they never do because every other time the same thing happens again.

    Would get sent rotten food every single order. The final straw was the box was delivered late, the ONE ice pack was completely melted and the meat/fish went bad. What did the company decide? They gave me some credit towards my next meal delivery. I said dont bother, I wont be using this again.

    Hi there--you will need to pause your account in order to prevent future charges and orders. You can do so by heading to Account Settings, and clicking Pause My Subscription. Be sure to not set a restart date unless you would like to.

    Frustrating experience - app is good, meals were fine, but 4 of 6 weeks we received orders where there were wrong meals, wrong proteins, or other missing items. The first 3 they provided "credit", but after the last shipment included only one of the 3 meals we ordered (and the others were mismatched) we decided to cancel and asked for a refund. We could not get a response from a previously responsive customer service. We went back to HelloFresh - we had been looking to change up the meal variety, but their shipments had always been reliable and consistent.

    You cannot easily view their menu without signing up with a payment method. I started the process of using this service last Friday, which was a mistake since all changes for the following week need to be made by Friday. Not sure how I could have known this before signing up... After looking through the menu I decided against it, so I attempted to deactivate my account. This led to one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. If you attempt to deactivate your account they instead pause it. Their hope here is that you don't want to go through this labor and forget about your subscription so they can charge you again. Finally you cannot remove any of your information from your account without their support. Your payment method and address are both stuck on their site. This company has very bad business practices and I would not recommend using them.
