My Mercedes was taken in under ** extended warranty for repair on the water pump. There was no problem with ******** honoring ** extended warranty. After I received ** van **** from ******** I was driving it for about two week and in the middle of the expressway the engine blow up. ******** towed it to the garage and stated they will not look at the vehicle until we prove we follow the maintenance guidelines on the warranty. We provide proof of our oil changes which is the only maintenance done by another garage. ******** states our receipts are not suffice and void our extended warranty. They tell us to turn in the loaner van and pick up our broken van or they will start charging us by the day. Again the fixed the water pump two weeks prior with our extended warranty no one touched the van after that repair and the engine blow up. Again ******** is trying to find a loop hole so they do not have to cover the warranty. I have all ** service records if needed.Initial Complaint

********* a certified pre owned 2024 gle350 from dealership. 2nd day of owning the vehicle there was a coil malfunction on the steering wheel making loud noise. The vehicle idles high and it jumps between gears 1 and 2. I explained to dealership and took it in for service. It's very clear the advertisement of point to point inspection was not completed prior to sale. Took vehicle in for service. I was given a loaner. I had the loaner longer than I my 2 day old vehicle. I reached out and spoke to the Sales Manager ****. I explained my concern regarding my new purchase and I am requesting an exchange due to the issues I'm experiencing with new vehicle. It is advertised on their website that you can exchange vehicle within 7 days of purchase and less than ********************************************************* back within a few hours with options and he would pay for my first month car payment due to issues. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard from **** Sales Manager with any options. No follow up no nothing. I've been blown off by dealershipInitial Complaint

On the 23rd of April I took my company car to the wash at the service location on ******. When the brush went around the passenger side of the car I thought it was a little loud. When I was through I wiped down the windshield, and quickly looked at the passenger side to see if there were any dents, and didn't see any, however I was in a rush to get on the road for an out of town appointment, and did not look closely or inspect the rear of the automobile until I was at my hotel when I noticed the scratches on the passenger side wheel ***** and all along the rear bumper, as well as some kind of oil or grease on the front passenger side and on the wheel well. the only thing that touched my car in that manner was the brushes in your carwash. I tried to contact FJ through their form on the website when I got back into town (on the 25th or 28th I don't recall the exacted date). I then had a family medical emergency, so the damage got put on the back burner and I heard nothing for over a month. I then tried to contact them the same way, but after a few days of hearing nothing, I called them the morning of the 13th of June and was told I would get a call back in "about an hour" I did not receive a call back that day. So I called them the next morning and asked for the email of the person who was supposed to call me back as I didn't have time to wait around all day for a phone call that *** never come, and then I sent and email to the address I was give and as of today the 27th I have still heard nothing from Fletcher Jones *********Initial Complaint

I purchase my car from the ******** **** Chicago dealership in September 2022 . My car has approximately 756 miles as of today. I rarely drive it. On 1/13/2024 I bought my car in for some minor work for a scratch on the front fender. During that time my car had to remain with the dealership due to them not executing the job up until 1/20 or a little after. While in their possession scratches to the inside front door and tinted windows occurred. Also during that time my Illinois plate registration sticker was stolen. I complained of both incidents and have not had any resolution afforded to me. Just this week on 5/20 I brought my car in for the recommended service and paid out of my pocket for the damage they committed. I returned to pick up my car only to wait 1 hour and a half because they misplaced it. Customer service has been racist. They were servicing white customers faster and with courtesy.Initial Complaint

I bought a 2014 ******** SUV from a local car dealer and brought it to ******** **** of Chicago to repair small complaints within 30 days of the purchase. Within 90 days of the purchase there was a coolant leak in the vehicle that was repaired at **** of Chicago. **** claimed that a broken coolant line was the cause of the leak and they repaired it. 90 days following the repair, the vehicle ran so hot to the degree that it blew the engine and I wound up needing a ********* replacement. It ran hot and was towed to a mechanic **** of Orland on June 30th. On July 6th, it was towed to a dealer who replaced the engine and summarily fixed both coolant lines and there hasn't been any problem since. I want ******** **** of Chicago to reimburse me the price of that engine repair because had they done their work when they diagnosed the cause of the leak and repaired it, the engine would not have blown. No I did not return to them, because they did not repair the coolant line! How would they transplant an engine?Initial Complaint

On July 25, 2023, I locked in on a used 2021 Porsche Macan S for a purchase price of $61,000. I was getting a ****% loan from my credit union but decided to go with the dealer financing at ****% as they said they would handle registration. The fact that I went with their financing means I will be paying $764 more in interest. They shipped the car to my home on August 2nd with ******** issued temporary plates but MA residents cannot drive temp plates. I told them to send me the paperwork so I can go register the car myself (****** allows walk-ins for registrations so I could have got the plates on the spot). They told me a 3rd party would handle the registration but there is no end in sight. They blamed the state for the delay but the truth is the *** never received the documents for a long time. And when they did, there were errors in the paperwork so it was sent back. The dealer has not once proactively notified me of what's happening. I have had to call several times and talk to ***************** (GM), ************ (Finance Manager), ******* (Registration clerk) and ****** Jones (Sales) to get updates. Now they are telling me they have fixed the paperwork but according to ******, mail-in registrations can take anywhere from ***** days. This essentially means I will be paying for the 1st month ($1065) on Sept 8th without the ability to drive the car around anywhere. Besides it is a used car so I haven't been able to get inspection done either and this worries me. There is no end in sight and being in MA, I am unable to resolve this with the dealer.Initial Complaint

Hello,In June 2022 I brought my car into ******** of Chicago *************** for a repair. I also made note to the service advisor that i would like someone to take a look at my steering wheel because their was a small area at the top that appeared to be peeling. While standing at the car he took a look and rubbed his hand across the steering wheel. He noted s a small rough patch and stated oh thats nothing its from driving and always having your hands there, my steering wheel has the same thing. At this time i again told him that i would like someone to check it out because my car was a lease and i didnt want to get charged for it or for it to worsen. At this time he reassured me and stated youll be okay, its normal wear & tear. Fast forward to September 2022 & i notice that the peeling is getting worse, the small patch has turned into a medium patch! I take my car in for service on 9/1/22 and tell the service advisor the same thing about the steering wheel. I am then notified the next day that my steering wheel is peeling due to lotion and hand sanitizer! I dont even put my hands on my steering wheel while wet & i havent used lotion since the beginning of Covid! Now im stuck with a malfunctioning steering wheel that i will be charged $2800 at my lease end! I brought my car in when the area was small and no one looked at it! Now is has spread and im liable and they are saying is caused my hand sanitizer, which it is not! My hands touch the sides of my steering wheel and those areas are not peeling.
