I bought some items from this company. I got the wrong size, so I asked for a return. I noticed that quality was not up to par.. So I asked for a refund. It took them more than a week to get me as return label. And then they took almost a month to refund basically have my money. After contacting them about this several times. They told me that's all I am getting. And that's not good Business.Review from Jacqueline M

Collections Etc made two charges on my credit card. One on 8/6/24 for $95.34 and a second on 8/8/24 for $99.71, which I neglected to input into my accounting and didn't recall what I had ordered. So I called to find out. In my first call, the message repeatedly told me I had a wait time of 4 minutes and then 5 minutes, then 4 minutes, then 5 minutes - again and again. When **************** finally answered I was told that the $99.71 was a "pre-authorization" charge and expiring today 8/10/24 and I was told the $95.34 was a hand massager and a heated shoulder wrap - items that I then recalled ordering. I told the clerk that Collections did not disclose it would make a "pre-authorization" charge on my card. She said that it had "expired" and **** be credited to my card today. The clerk made a sarcastic response, saying she wouldn't speak to me further and hung up. So I had to call again. The second clerk, with a difficult to understand accent, confirmed the pre-authorization charge. I told her I want to speak to a supervisor to state a complaint. When I finally got a supervisor, I was informed that the charge was for something else I had purchased. I told her that the pre-charge was inappropriate and the woman hung up on me. I presume that Collection 1.18 average rating from 153 customers reveals that this sort of "bad' service and disrespectful treatment is standard with Collections Etc.Collections Etc., Inc. Response

I just placed an order, had a promo code for 25% off. The line items decremented the price decrease and I ordered. When I was emailed my order confirmation I noticed I was charged the full price for all items in the order. I immediately called customer service as there is no option on the web site to cancel. The agent said they could not do anything as the order was placed and ready to ship. I said how could it be ready to ship, I placed it 5 minutes ago! I will be returning all items when received, not a good way to do online business.Review from Sa N

Don't buy. One valance was stained. Website would not print return label. Called customer service. I could barely understand her. She said it would cost over $11 to return it. They lied when they said satisfaction is guaranteed.Collections Etc., Inc. Response

We are unclear as to why you were advised a return needed to be made as that is not our standard policy. We have attempted to research this further by locating the phone call that took place but are unable to do so using the phone number that was provided on the account. In terms of a return label, you are able to request return labels online to be emailed to you. The return label will then show up as a PDF file in your inbox.In terms of the item being stained, we have initiated a reshipment of the item which should arrive within 10 business days. Upon processing a replacement item, a credit for the original item including tax if applicable is issued. When shipping the replacement item, your credit card is then charged for that item and tax with no additional shipping. We are reaching out regarding order#********. After responding to this complaint, we received an email from the customer stating: "I ordered 4. First one I opened was stained. They were poor quality and different colors than picture. I wanted to return them. The website said satisfaction guaranteed. I am not satisfied at all. The website would not accept two different valid emails. **************** was not friendly and was hard to understand and said it would be almost $12 to return the items. That is not fair at all."This was not communicated to us in the initial complaint. We are contacting our warehouse and requesting the reshipment of the stained product to be cancelled. We will email out a free return label as a one-time good faith gesture. Please note, the use of our return label is not required; however if it is used an $11.99 fee is deducted from any return refund that *** exist. We do not ***** free return labels for issues of quality discrepancy. In terms of our website, the email address that was used at the time of order is what is recognized as we can only link one email address to an account. Just got off the phone with customer service only needing a return shipping label for my 80 yr old Dad. Then was told that there was an $**.00 fee for the label. That alone was upsetting. I had to explain that the package was damaged upon arrival and that everything my Dad ordered was junk! The lady I spoke with could barely speak English, and wanted to know why he was returning everything. So I told her going by their guide, #**. Value was not as expected. She said something else, but I couldn't understand her, so I said the company you work for sells junk! I believe with all my heart that this company baits in the elderly through sending them their catalogs. My Dad doesn't understand internet shopping so he was excited to do this, only to be disappointed. He spent quite a bit, especially for his income. I honestly lost my temper with their customer service, and that's honestly not like me! But I knew immediately this company Collections Etc is a terrible scam. I'm now worried that my Dad wont truly get his money back! Any reputable company would never charge you for a return label! That alone tells me that people are returning products so often that they have to charge you to stay ahead!!Collections Etc., Inc. Response

I am beyond upset. Collection ETC customer service is not very customer oriented. I placed an order for my bfs birthday present. Like 30 mins later I notice on the website it says 25% off your next bundled order. Well I bought a bundle so I added it to my cart again and used the coupon well it took off more than the shipping. So I emailed customer service and asked them about the order should be adjusted for the coupon of 25% off. They told me that they can't do that that is not what the coupon is for. I said it worked for me. If it was not supposed to it wouldn't have so that's not true and to cancel my order and I will reorder. They sent me back an email saying they will not be doing anything further with this order. I am so upset I just emailed them again and told them I was filing a complaint with the BBB. That is poor customer service. When I worked in customer service and a situation like this would have been easily corrected. So I reordered and got the 25% off but not the free shipping but I'm tired at this point. Beware cause now I have to return a duplicate order because they didn't cancel it like I had asked.Collections Etc., Inc. Response

Thank you for reaching out regarding order#********. Please be advised that our orders process to ship every two minutes. This is done so that our warehouse is able to achieve the target shipping timeframes given. Once an order enters into the processing state, we are not able to make any changes because the warehouse is already packaging the order. We contacted our warehouse as a one time courtesy and were able to cancel the order. An email was sent on 7/29/24 advising of such. An email was then received from the customer asking if they would be refunded for the cancelled order. Please note, as the order was not charged, no refund will take place. In regards to the second order#********, the promotional code provided was for 25% off plus free shipping on orders containing 3 items or more. Only two items were shown on this order. We will refund the $10.99 shipping as good faith gesture.Review from Hank M

If you try to buy something from Collections Etc, **** they may keep a part of your payment and tell you that the product you ordered is not in stock. Then they will send you a partial refund. They charge a fee to issue this check. So if you order something, I recommend using a credit card that protects you in questionable businesses. I gave them one star because there is nothing lower.Collections Etc., Inc. Response

This order was then cancelled and a refund check was sent. We apologize, the processing fee was not cancelled correctly, therefore it was not refunded. This company is a scam. Their 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed is a scam too. I paid ***** to have merchandise returned. They charge ***** if you use their label. So they make money there too. I was told I would get a full refund if I paid for the shipping to return. They kept 7.19 of my refund. When I called the not so friendly customer service they said when you order online you are charged 6.50 processing fee. That's another.69 cents they made plus 1.09 more if I used their label. Oh and then they said the processing fee was nonrefundable. She offered me a 5.00 credit on my next order. There will never be another order. Why would I want a 5 .00 credit when they would get it back on a processing fee that is nonrefundable? Buyer beware! Very dissatisfied with this place!Collections Etc., Inc. Response

Thank you for contacting Collections Etc. As you have stated that you were told you would receive a full refund, we will be happy to refund the additional $7.15 remaining on the order. Please note, processing is charged on every order and is listed at the time of order. It is not a refundable fee. In regards to the return label, it is the customer's choice whether or not to use our return label as our labels are designed to cover a variety of weight for returns. Should a customer wish to return a product, it is always encouraged to reach out before returning as it may not be necessary to actually return the product for a refund to be given. I made a purchase on June 21, 2024. Then right after the purchase, I started getting alerts of two payments. Transaction Date: June 21, 2024 Merchant: COLLECTIONS, ETC. Amount: $516.70 Then I was charged again-Transaction Date: June 21, 2024 Merchant: COLLECTIONS, ETC. Amount: $516.71 I called and *** (7:30 pm) confirmed the one charge and order number, then she hung up on me. Talked to two other people and *** (8:00 pm) confirmed the order and changed the account from hotmail to gmail. As of today, (four days later) there is no account for the gmail address or the confirmation order number. I HAVE TRIED ONE LAST TIME. Same items with a Discount coupon -Transaction Date: June 27, 2024 Merchant: COLLECTIONS, ETC.Amount: $440.22.Still nothing. I received a response stating "Please be advised an error occurred with PayPal during the processing of your order and no order was sent to Collections Etc. As this occurred with PayPal prior to the order reaching Collections Etc, we do not have the visibility to cancel or collect on the payment. The PayPal transaction will show a "pending" status indefinitely. To have this removed from your PayPal account; you will need to contact PayPal directly to change the status. " A week later i received an email stating that they could complete the order if I modified the items. No, thank you Collections, etc. **************** center was loud, rude and untruthful. This company can't get their payment straightened out on four chances. Then tells me to clean up their mistakes?Collections Etc., Inc. Response
