      I financed a used car through CCU. Payment due date of June 13. Early June I asked to set my payment due date to the 1st of each month as that would be easier on my pay schedule. The representative told me I had to make my first payment, and then they would allow me to change the due date. On 7/13, I executed a contract modification changing my payment date to the first of each month beginning 8/1. Yesterday, I received a late notice from CCU saying that my July payment had not been made. I called them, and they insisted that I still owed for July, and that my next payment would be due August 1! That makes no sense. They clearly have no clue about the meaning of a contract modification. They have since told me they will charge me interest and let me pay on August 1. The absolute worst customer service I have ever endured, and given that I am a CenturyLink customer, thats really saying something.
