Better Lending handled my purchase this month. Had issues with other lenders due to job gaps, credit issues etc. They helped me get my score up, get under contract, and really went the extra mile to make sure that I was informed every step of the way on how to get to where I needed to be to close on my first home.Review from Thomas G

Very deceptive. Does not communicate and when I went to have appraisal and VA case number transferred to another company, they were holding them hostage until I started calling the VA.They charged me $600 for the appraisal, when VA home loans should not cost for the appraisal. They never informed me of the drop in interest rates.We submitted multiple written and signed request to transfer my information to the new loan company, and they ignored the written signed request and calling multiple time to where it was on the verge of HARASSMENT.In my opinion, this company is deceptive and not customer service oriented.If I could give zero or minus stars, I would.Buyer beware.Review from Kristina H.

Two months later I am still going through the process and it has been a nightmare that has not ended. I was told to pay this and that to get my credit higher so we can close sooner to only be told the day of well you need this and that done and pay more of this. I have only Learned recently that the company doesnt understand VA loans. I would never send family or friends to them in the future.

The initial reason for paying some accounts down was to help qualify you for better rates/programs. That helped secure a rate that currently isn't available in the market. As the loan process continued, it was discovered that there were multiple recent late payments after the refinance process began. Late payments result in changes to the qualifications for the loan. We are still trying to work around these recent late payments.
