A company claiming to be Verifacts called my office and asked my secretary to verify my employment there and date of birth. She didn't respond and put them on hold. I answered and they attempted to get me to verify by date of birth and the last four digits of my social security number. I did not give them any info and inquired as to who they were and why they needed the information. They claimed they do not know and that they are hired by other companies to verify employment information. They again asked me to verify my date of birth. I said I would not. I told her to tell me which company is asking for information about me. She said she could only tell me if I verified by full date of birth. I refused and requested the company contact me directly. I hung up after she asked me to verify my date of birth again.

My employer was contacted via phone and email to verify my social security number, date of birth and employment status. This violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I do not wish to be contacted at work by some company I have no idea who it is or what it is for.

An ***** from this company first sent an email to a company that I am a CONTRACTOR for...not a regular or hourly employee, but contracted to perform work for. Then followed with a phone call to discuss my situation. The company wanted to verify if I was "employed" and how I was employed. They even sent a form attached to the email asking for it be filled out selecting which option of how I was employed. I have never heard of this company, as to my knowledge have never been contacted directly. Verifacts is to NEVER contact ANY past or current company that I am a contracted employee of again nor contact me directly!

Verifacts has been harassing my former employer asking for information on my behalf. They have emailed twice and called *********** in the same day asking for my personal information. This is embarrassing and illegal. Do not contact anyone including previous employers in regards to me. You have done a soft pull on my credit report and have my information so unsure why you would be contacting anyone but me! Stop now or I will seek counsel.

My employer was called 5 times in one day, and faxing them asking for my information, which violates Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I do not want to be verified or contacted at work. I never received anything in the mail or on my personal phone. I do not need you calling where I work to harass people. Take me off the calling list or will file a complain against verifacts.
