**** from this company called my old employer to confirm if I worked there. And asked them for the last 4 of my social and my complete date of birth. I honestly and truly dont care what company hired them if they cant or wont release the companies info. At that she said she didnt even know which company was asking for the info. Not to mention when I provided the last number in my social and the last number of the year I was born in, it was all wrong. So she says well you do have a very common name. This is crazy and really hard to believe that what they are doing is legal.Business response

A representative for verifacts contacted my place of employment without my permission or consent to do so. They said they were seeking to confirm that I was employed there and date of birth. Verifacts is not authorized to share my personal information nor are they authorized to share my place of employment without my permission which they do not have. I want verifacts to remove me from their database immediately and never contact me or my employer again.Business response

7/6/23 VeriFacts called my place of employment and asked to speak to the owner to verify employment. I told them she was not in and could be reached by email. Fifteen minutes later another representative called from VeriFacts, I answered the phone and he said I need to verify some information on you ( i said my name when I answered the phone). I asked him what this was for and he said he was updating my information on file and that they were a 3rd party company. He wanted me to confirm my birthdate. At that point I told him I was not giving him any personal information and that I have not authorized anyone to contact my employment for verification purposes. This practice is privacy invasion and VeriFacts needs to cease and desist immediately. Furthermore, VeriFacts needs to delete/withdraw any and ALL of my personal information from their systems immediately and not give any of my information to anyone OR any company. In the meantime, the first representative emailed my employer with a form (attached) asking her to verify information. Luckily my employer reached out to me requesting my permission to give them information which I have asked her not to give any personal information to this company.Business response

VeriFacts has called my employer seeking personal information about someone without disclosing why they are calling. It is unprofessional to someones place of work to harass them. They should only call the individuals personal number.Business response

They called my job asking for me and asked for my personal information and when I asked them who they were and why they just said a 3rd party and if I wanted to know more I have to give then my information. I said I wasn't going to give them my information they got upset and said I need to give them something do I could know why and I told them no and that it felt like a scam.
