I contacted **** the Concrete Man about having a pool deck added. The interaction started off well enough... Then, he emailed me at 8:30pm on a Tuesday and asked if I'd be available for an on-site estimate in the morning. I work nights, so I had responded as quickly as I could've, which was at midnight. I'd stated that I was available and that I would be home all morning. The next morning (Wednesday) came and went, and at noon, I accepted that he wouldn't be coming. He never called/emailed to cancel or to reschedule. I don't understand why he would ask via email so late in the evening about being able to come out the very next morning, if HE wasn't even available.On Thursday at 5:30pm, I received a call from him asking if he could 'swing by' to do the estimate. His ETA would've been ***** minutes. I told him it wasn't a good time and asked if we could schedule a time/date that would work for both of us. He gave an excuse along the lines of him not being able to commit to a schedule because of concrete jobs vs. rainy weather. (Which I can understand how weather can dictate concrete jobs, but since he made it known that he's the owner/estimator/etc, as a business owner, perhaps he might consider carving out time daily outside of the concrete work in order to meet with prospective customers for estimates.) He never acknowledged or apologized for not coming out on Wednesday.I asked him if he could come to the property the next day (Friday), to which he said no. I felt backed into a corner with his abrupt opening in scheduling and told him he could come over for the estimate in his predetermined *****-minute-notice. Instead of showing up, he called me back 20 minutes later and declined the job. He basically stated that he's never had this much trouble scheduling with people and that he had a bad vibe. Not once was I rude to him on any of the three calls, even after I waited all morning for him to show. Perhaps he took me saying "fine" about him coming for the sudden estimate as rude, I don't know. Perhaps he's used to keeping all his customers at his mercy when it comes to scheduling things. He has no professional consideration for other people's time. It's for the best that he declined the job. Customers should be treated better than this.

Please read customers review one more time and slowly. As the owner, estimator, worker I think I deserve more respect about my scheduling then this. Yes I called her back out of respect and declined her job after setting up an appointment. There was no contract signed. Now everyone can see why through her words. I felt a bad vibe (attitude) about going into this job and even the estimate. So I didn't want to waste her time I just refused and actually it was a nice job I would've taken on, but under circumstances I'm better off moving instead of stuck in a situation. The fact that he refuses to acknowledge his miscommunication and lack of respect for my time says a lot about his character and professionalism. My review described the entirety of our interaction. Except for the pleasant initial call we had when he confirmed my online request for a quote, I left nothing out. So as he said, yes, please read the review one more time and slowly. I'd be hard-pressed to believe anyone would be alright with being bullied and being stood-up for his meetings.
