We purchased a 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible from Andy Mohr Chevrolet on 7/7/21 for $55,000.00. We have driven it 300 miles since delivery. We took it to our Chevy dealer in Rome, NY yesterday to have a NYS inspection and preventative maintenance, Mohr didn't change oil…was told it was part of their 172 pts check. Our dealer stated it was unsafe to drive and would not pass NYS inspection due to: front tires were unsafe, as the steel belts on inner side of one tire were exposed, front brakes need replacing, rotors and pads, check engine light (bad clutch sensor), and rear shocks leaking oil and need replacing. These issues, except shocks, will cause failure of the NYS safety inspection until repaired/replaced. The estimated cost is $4,500 - $5,000. We are having issues repaired, as it will not pass inspection and are unsafe. Mohr mgt. told us car had 172 points check and no problems. Have pics of bad parts and a witness to validate telecom during sale negotiations with Mohr mgt.Business response

Good Morning
Response to Jack Gardner complaint,
Indiana doesn't have a state vehicle inspection like New York. Andy Mohr Chevrolet would like to see the inspection from his local dealer that inspected the Corvette. We would like to compare the repair costs from his estimate to ours
before we move forward.
Thanks
Ron Sharpee

I took my car to Andy Mohr Chevy bc the check engine light was on. I was told I needed a new TCM Module. My car was there for 6 weeks. I have the extended warranty that covers a rental car but was told there wasn't any and to find one on my own. The guy was extremely rude and unprofessional, I left in tears. I found a rental car and 2 weeks later I could no longer afford to come out of pocket and begged them for one. I was given one and I asked for a refund on the money spent for the first 2 weeks. I was then told that bc I didn't use Enterprise and I didn't have a GM vehicle that it would not be reimbursed. I was NOT told I needed either in the beginning when I was told to "figure it out myself". We have left several messages with the dealership, only to get no returned phone calls. I was told they were trying to contact the district manager for approval, that was 6 weeks ago. I would like the $782.75 refunded that I should've been originally covered by the purchased warrantyBusiness response

Mrs. Grable was told she needs to contact General Motors and get case number so we can escalate. I agree she should be reimbursed but her reimbursement needs to come from General Motors not Andy Mohr Chevrolet. The original rental bill was turned into General Motors and they declined. I tried to get her a car payment from General Motors to make up for out of pocket expense it was declined also. If Mrs Grable will contact General Motors and get case number, Andy Mohr will be happy to try and facilitate a refund from General Motors.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 15827997, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I called GM and they told me to contact the warranty company, who told me to contact the dealership. I can try GM today but they have told me that it needs to be resolved with the warranty company since they are the ones that should be covering it.
Regards,
Ashley Grable
