This debt collector engaged in abusive, deceptive, and unfair practices of the FDCPA which it prohibits. They furnished this account that we didn't agree upon and I didn't sign an agreement on. A legal contract is signed by two parties and I did not participate in any of it. More so they didn't follow the proper 5 step validation procedure which make this unfair practices. According to the FDCPA I’m entitled to 1,000 dollars per violation and clearly they violated my rights.Business response

Clarification Response to BBB
Dear Better Business Bureau,
I am writing to provide additional information and clarification regarding my complaint against National Credit Adjusters, LLC, originally filed on July 20, 2024 (Complaint ID: ********).
Background:
Debt Information:
The original creditor for this debt is **********.
The debt was transferred to National Credit Adjusters, LLC.
I have since settled this debt with Halsted Financial Services, LLC, which is verified in the attached letter from Halsted dated July 17, 2024.
Issue:
Despite having paid off the debt in full, the account is still being reported on my credit report, which is adversely affecting my credit score.
********** has not confirmed the payment, and the erroneous account remains on my credit report.
Request for Resolution:
I am requesting that the Better Business Bureau assist me in ensuring that National Credit Adjusters, LLC and ********** update their records to reflect the paid status of this debt and remove the account from my credit report. This correction is urgent as I need a clear credit report to apply for business credit.
Attached Documentation:
Proof of payment from Halsted Financial Services, LLC, indicating that the debt has been fully satisfied.
Impact:
The presence of this inaccurate information on my credit report is hindering my ability to secure business credit, as lenders will evaluate my personal credit history.

National Credit Adjusters LLC did not provide me with the original contract as requested so because of that I believe that I am the not the owner of this debt and its not my responsibility to pay it off.

To Whom It May Concern, I have reviewed my credit report and found that your company is reporting an account under my name. I do not recognize this company, nor the alleged debt you claim I owe. I have not entered into any contract with your company that includes my wet signature. As such, I demand immediate validation of this debt in accordance with FDCPA requirements. Provide a contract or agreement bearing my signature that indicates I agreed to this debt. This account is fraudulent and has caused significant harm to my credit score, reputation, and borrowing ability. Credit reporting laws are clear: data furnishers, creditors, and debt collectors must report only 100% accurate information. Your company is failing to comply with these laws, and I insist that this information be re-investigated immediately. Account number ******XXXXX THIS ACCOUNT IS NOT MINE I demand that you provide the method of verification used by your company under the FCRA. Specifically, I require the original application, contract, note, or other instrument bearing my signature. If you cannot provide such documentation, this fraudulent account must be deleted from my credit report without delay. You are hereby notified that you have thirty (30) days to complete your re-investigation as required by federal law. Furthermore, a description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information must be provided within fifteen (15) days of completing your re-investigation. Failure to comply with these demands will leave me with no choice but to pursue legal action against your company for defamation of character and violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This includes, but is not limited to, filing a lawsuit to seek damages for the harm caused to my reputation and creditworthiness. This account was paid and the creditor removed it from my credit report a few years ago. I checked my ******* credit report a few days ago and the account was added back on my report. National Credit ADJU did not let me know that they would be adding this back onto my credit report The acct was paid & It was removed so I don’t understand why it would be added back onto my credit report. I wasn’t notified from them at all about them adding this back on my report.Business response
