My daughter, Coral *****, and her roommate, Amberle ***** filled out an application to reside in Meadowbrook apartments. They applied on or around December 12, 2022. They were asked to provide guarantors as well as a deposit that would secure their spot. The deposit was paid via phone on December 21, 2022 by Amberle *****. She only received a receipt of said deposit signed by Deon ******. I am including all email correspondence between Amberle *****, her mother , Nancy **************, myself, Deborah ***** and my daughter, Coral ***** that transpired while dealing with the leasing agent, Colbi *******, the manager, Angela *****. You will notice that on December 8th, 2022, at 4:40 pm, Colbi ******* wrote that "is for som reason you aren't approved you would get full deposit back, in case you are approved that will act as a security deposit. On the day of the deposit, the applicants were supposed to receive a Meadowbrook and *********** Apartment Reservation and Retainer form, that they would sign and send back. None of the applicants of the guarantors received or were told of this paper. The document was therefore not signed or returned. This is the only document that states that the property could keep your deposit if the applicant refused to enter the lease when approved, or failed to provide all necessary information within 10 business days. A blank form of this document was given to the applicants on January 6th, after they were denied and the leasing agent said they had lost their deposit. At no time, during all out correspondence, were any of us made aware of a deadline. In fact, as you will notice in Nancy **************** emails, She was given until the end of the business day on January 5th, 2023 to submit the guarantor form. I have read all emails, applications and documents we had. It was their failure to submit this form and have it signed by the applicants. They never did. Therefore, we are not bound by this agreement, and should receive our full deposit back. * ** ********* *** ************* ********* *** ***** *********** *** ******** *****
