Harassment of myself, workplace, and family members. Did a hard inquiry on my credit without my permissionCustomer Answer

Yes. After my original loan was almost paid off they contacted me countless times to get a new loan through them. I stopped paying because of a hardship. They started calling my family every single day. They called my estranged uncle who was never part of the loan process so I am not sure how they got his number. They called me more than 7 times a week including twice some days. They would block the phone number but still leave a message. They ran my credit recently this month without my consentInitial Complaint

I applied for a loan to Eagle Loan company only to receive a letter stating I was ineligible for a loan that was filed in bankruptcy. The bankruptcy was discharged in January of 2019. Should they be able to see that information, because I thought once it was charged off in the court proceedings, it would no longer count against me. When D***** R*** asked what was the reason for the court filing, I told her it was due to job loss. Is this legal?Business Response

A bankruptcy can remain on a person's credit report for up to 10 years. On their website, ******* explains, " Bankruptcy public records stay on your ******* credit report from seven to 10 years, depending on the type of bankruptcy." For further information on the length of time a bankruptcy filing stays on a credit report, Ms. ****** can review the ******* website following this link: *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** .

I currently have an outstanding loan with eagle, which I intend on setting up a payment plan for. However, my vehicle was used for the security of the loan when I received it 5 years ago. This car no longer runs and I still have the lien on it. Issues with the transmission as well as engine are present, which were estimated at an amount higher than the fair market value of this vehicle. I'm wanting to get rid of the vehicle since it no longer runs and hopefully have the lien removed by Eagle so that that can be done. Is there a way to have this process completed? Thank you, ***** *******Business Response

This company claims it o ly does a soft pull to see if your eligible for a loan, this is a false statement, as you can see it showed up on my ****** ***** as a hard pull, I am in the process of trying to rebuild my credit and cannot afford to have hard pulls on my report, they falsified statements on the advertising saying it was o ly a soft pull, and it's not, I would like this taken of my credit report please, thanks and have a blessed day.Business Response

Mr. Johnson indicates that we state in our advertising that we will do a soft pull, as opposed to a hard pull, on a loan applicant’s credit report. That is not true. We have never mentioned what type of credit pull will appear on someone’s credit in any of our advertising. When we obtain a credit report from a credit bureau during the loan approval process, the credit bureau determines how they report that inquiry. We have no control over that process. If *** ******* believes that his credit report is incorrect, he can file a dispute directly with Equifax, the only credit bureau we report to, by following this link: ****************Initial Complaint

I received a loan from them with an interest rate of 49% and a fee over $500 for financing under the impression that if I paid it off early I’d safe on interest and the financing fee I paid it off 7 months early and only saved around $100 which I think is absolutely ridiculous.Business Response

I do not know if this complaint can be resolved. I am still in confusion regarding the 33% loan and how it translates on a $1000 loan to be over $800 in payments in addition to the $1000 borrowed. I was ran out of the business by the gentleman as I only sat in chairs provided by the entrance. That should have been the red flag. I am disabled and a vet with mental conditions so my initial understanding is lacking. But my observation and personal investigation is that although loans can be needed, this company writes extremely unethical % rates that I sill cannot understand how 33-38% on $1000 is 8-900 dollars on top. I did NOT understand this as the gentleman spoke extremely fast. Most I've spoke to seem to be on SSI or Disabled. These rates if someone has mental conditions should not be allowed without an advocate. The man also stated they report to the Credit Agencies (All 3) monthly. According to these entities, They Have Not Done so. I would like the actual % rate that was stated not a mathematical advanced formula Einstein would have written describing the entire universe combinations. As stated I do not even comprehend what was done. The young lady in the front is/was very personable but the gentleman was rude/cursing and sexually explicit during his explanation of the rate which I still am very confused.Business Response

I unfortunately have to file chapter 13 bankruptcy. Being this is a secured loan it will be paid 100% through the bankruptcy. I have asked for a copy of loan documents to be sent to my attorney as they are needed with petition. I put this in writing. I believe this is a legal right I have. Applied for a loan through this company and received an email from Tricia that only listed items that needed to be submitted. She didn’t include any other context or contact info in the email. The only way I knew that was from this company is because I clicked on the sender info and saw it was from their company. I then received a vm asking me to call them. I called and spoke with someone that told me wasn’t approved. I thanked her and ended the call. The following day I received a vm from Tricia again asking me to call. When I spoke to her, she told me that I needed to submit pay stubs, bank statements and my bill. So, it doesn’t appear that the office workers collaborate on which accounts they work on, since one told me I wasn’t approved, and one is asking for documentation. I submitted all requested documents and then received a call from Tricia stating that the bank statements didn’t show withdrawal details. I tried to help her understand how to read bank statements, as it appears that she wasn’t comprehending when I informed her that she needed to scroll down to see all transactions. She proceeded to over talk me when trying to help her. This company should not be operating under the unorganized manner they display. I should have known better than to even attempt business with them after reading the horrible reviews and complaints on social media. Bad for business!Initial Complaint

Date of transaction is 12-1-2023. I called Eagle finance because i recieved a text stating i could recieve a $500 loan renewal. The text was sent several days before my payment was due on 12-1-2023. I went into the office on 12-1-23 to go ahead with the loan renewal. I asked the Sonya before we started the process if i would have a December payment if i be renewed and she told me i wouldn't that it would fall on 1-1-2024. I agreed and we completed the process and i received the money. Later that day i was checking over my bank statement to see that a payment of $182 had came out of my bank that day from Eagle finance after i was told it wouldn't. I called the office today 12-4-2023 and tried to explain what happened and she then proceeded to tell me that i was told that before i was able to get that $500 loan i had to make the December payment, which is false i was never told that otherwise it would have been like i was renewing for another 18 months for $300, not the $500 i was promised without a December payment. They didn't apologize or try to fix it other than telling me i could bring the $500 back and they'd try to call gone office and get the renewal loan reversed. I don't have the money otherwise i wouldn't have been in there to renew the loan. They was very dishonest in the process in saying i was made aware of the payment needing to be made before i could get the renewal loan. They weren't very helpful in fact i feel like i was snubbed away on the call because they got what they wanted. I shouldn't have been charged the $182 because I was told i wouldn't have to make the December payment based on the fact i was renewing my loan on December 1st and wouldn't have a payment till January 1stBusiness Response

I filed ch 7 bankruptcy on medical bills in Jan 2020. I excluded my car and continued my payments till it was paid in full. I was never delinquent on my payments. (2005 Hyundai sonata) I checked my credit file and this company is reporting it was included in my bankruptcy even though they agree it was paid off. It also shows del on 8/2020 and when I called today, (Eagle finance)was told that was because of my bankruptcy. I disputed this with Equifax, and the response says it is correct. I’m told I “misunderstood” how bankruptcy works. I advised the company if it was filed with my bankrupcy, why they still accepted my payments, but still saying I was delinquent because of the bankruptcy. It doesn’t show my car was paid in full. Please help me get this updated in my credit file.Business Response
