I had a repairman come over to fix my washer. He was very very nice and efficient but he leaned into my blower fan button and it broke on my furnace. He told the management that he didn't hear anything pop. I had this furnace since 1982, the plastic white button sticks out of the box about 1/2 inch. I had it on automatic. Now I can't get it repaired. My blower continues to run and I have the power shut off because I don't want it running all the time. The management is not taking any responsibility for this. It could happen to anyone. I would like for them to repair it.

I spoke to the technician about this job after the customer called our office.  From the beginning of the service call on the customer's washer, he told the technician to stay away from the wood burning furnace because he has everything in this basement rigged up.  The customer stayed between the technician and the wood burner during the entire time of the service call.  There would be no way that the technician could have bumped into the blower because the customer was behind him, in front of the wood burner.  If the technician had broken anything we would be glad to repair it, but the technician knows he was never near the wood burner due to the customer's original request to stay away from the wood burner.  The only person near the wood burner was the customer.  I have pictures that the customer sent but it will not let me upload, stating they are too large.

Here is the statement from our technician.  We are not taking responsibilty for this problem since he never touched the wood burner or the switch.

My service to cust ***** began with him meeting me at my truck and telling me he was going to be with me at all times during my repair do to his curiosity and the fact that several things in his basement were (Rigged) (his words) and that we would have to be careful because his wood burner was hot. My entire time in his basement was spent directly under and in front and behind the washer. Never at any time was Mr ***** not directly above, beside, or directly between myself and wood burning stove. He observed me the entire time I was in the basement and even admitted to me when I returned his call that he didn’t know how the  fan limit switch was broken & he was not suggesting I had done it. He just wanted me to help him fix it, which I could not do as it would have been impossible for me to have made contact with said switch without knowing it and would have possibly caused me harm if I had gotten that close to it or the extremely hot wood stove and picture of it he sent us showed exposed wiring. As 30 yr veteran of the service industry this is the first time in my career that I have experienced this type of claim… If I felt myself or my company had and responsibility or liability for this issue we would have helped the customer within reason… But I can assure you it would have been impossible for myself to have had any close proximity contact with customers hot wood burner or his fan limit switch that he had told me right at the beginning of my entering his basement was (Rigged) (his words)
