I had a medical bill that I had paid in full from my statement, but the company still sent me to these collectors. My first call I talked to a guy who told me that I still owed $40.06 and he kept interrupting me when I was trying to tell him that everything that they sent me a collection letter for had been paid online on the medical company’s website on December 6, 2024. He cut me off when I tried to ask what I needed to do to show proof that it had been paid before I was turned over to collections. He said he had another call coming in and he needed to get that and he put me on hold. He never came back, so I called back and talked to a lady. She listened to me and explained that the company had sent some of the payments over to them. The guy was very condescending and wouldn’t listen. I gave them a 1 star only because the lady was nice, listened to my questions and took care of me. If that had happened on my first call, I wouldn’t have had an issue at all.Review from Sherman S

They are a horrible company. I provided them proof that I had paid the bills in question and they still forced me to pay. They all care about making money from themselves not the truth. I fee sorry for anyone that has to deal with them.

GLA Collection - Louisville is refusing to send a letter validating the debt. I've requested an itemized statement or bill since 2021 but was told they can no longer contact their client. Nor will their client accept a settlement. I have added a note to the debt on my credit file and will continue to file complaints and reviews. I will play the waiting game until the debt is removed from my credit report in 2027.GLA Collection Company, Inc. Response

I set up a payment plan to pay the debt off in full they said it wouldn't go on my credit report well 2 months in they put it on my credit report and now dropped my score significantly. They are liars watch out.GLA Collection Company, Inc. Response

iT is not our policy to hold accounts from credit reporting if the account is on a payment plan. Credit reporting is authorized by our client. The account in question is paid and the trade line requested to be removed.Review from Alfred C

GLA Collection - Louisville Called after receiving a second notice - that was paid - and spoke with "Tyler" who was very condescending, rude and quite unprofessional. He stated, in a raised voice, that he was "trying to help" me figure out why I had received a second notice if I had paid the bill. I have repeatedly left message to have them mail letters and stop call 2 o3 times a day several times a week. Harassment at its finest. My husband is very ill and the debt is about 6 or 7 years old to which he has not recieved a bill from the original hospital. I also have a collection I cannot recall ever receiving a bill from the hospital for. And it's been over 7 years so now they call all the time. We are disabled and cannot afford to pay these bills like they want to want to lock us in to a payment plan. Any way to stop the harrassment.Review from Katherine M.

I had a collection pop up on my credit report from this company, I never received a bill for this amount from the originator, nor did I ever receive anything from the collection agency either. Regardless, I needed the negative report off of my credit report so I gave them my debit card number and paid the collection bill off. I’d like to mention, this debit card I used is a brand new card from my bank, I’m employed by the same bank and tend to be very careful with my card information because I know how many scams are out there. TWO minutes after I provided GLA Collections with my card number, I got a scam charge on my debit card from Amazon Prime. Could this have potentially been coincidental? Honestly doubtful. This card was issued to me less than 3 months ago and I never give it out over the phone and rarely use it. So for a fraud charge to come through two minutes after GLA ran my card leads me to believe their system is NOT secure. Beware and keep an eye on your card activity after you provide this company with your card information.Review from Amber C

I got a call and they left a automated voice mail with my full name. I called back spoke to two people who said there was no account under my name and I check on their website as well and no account. This is a medical billing place i have medicaid so everything is paid for. I asked the woman to take my number off and she got rude and said "I can't do that" after telling me there were two addresses connected to my number but none of the addresses or last 4 of my ssn was mine. This company is trying to scam people. Anyone calls will result Ina harassment lawsuit.GLA Collection Company, Inc. Response

You can remove it since you have my information already. I'm keeping the voice-mail incase anymore calls take place. Like you said there is no account with my name but somehow I got left a message with my full name saying I had an account. I don't want anymore spam calls.
