they reject all my doctors claim because they think (or whatever) i have another primary insurance. My husband was 32 army and now we thought (very wrong) we would have tricare as our health insurance.Every single year the reject my claim and come with a funny (but not funny) remark on my EOBs. It is "OUR RECORDS INDICATE TE PATIENT HAS OTHER INSURANCE THAT IS PRIMARY TO TRICARE" Where they got their records? Out of their Phantasy? So...then i tried to call them in March and tell tell that i have no other insurance only my husbands. The girl told me that it is a computer problem and they will fix it within 10 days. Nothing got fixed...we call middle of march, end of march, beginning april middle april ...nothing always the same 10 day BS. Today 30/4/25 it is still not fixed...i have still no health insurance. Im thinking about to buy another insurance because it is a horrible situation...thats tricare...horror

I have been with Tricare east for 13 years and this is the first time that we have experienced Terrible service from Tricare. Since transferring to the Tricare East region we have received subpar customer service. Tricare east has changed my PCM 3 times and when asked why, I was told by Anitrah- the manager of billing and enrollment that it would take 30 days for them to investigate. They give reference numbers for the calls but when they review the notes, the notes are so minimal that providing a reference number is useless. When asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told it would be 48 hours before someone returned my call. I asked for an email and she told me they do not have emails. This is the worst customer service experience we have ever received from a Tricare! I look forward to day we receive new orders and hopefully the other Tricare regions are not negligent. The based they have transferred us to seems to have terrible management and is difficult to obtain an appointment! New management is needed, updated systems and processes are needed and overall better customer care.

Has others have already said, customer service is horrible. Humana has the contract now for Tricare East. Since I already have TriCare for Life, I wanted to know what options I had. The first agent that answered my call, Nancy - said I need to call TriCare. I asked again what options they had with regard to Prime and Select, she once again said to call TriCare. I asked again, same answer. I then asked to speak to another agent, Of course, this took a while. Another person gets on line and says she's the supervisor, and she explained, I was not eligible for Prime or Select. Since I was told differently at Fort Belvoir, I hung up and called again hoping to get a more informed agent, this time a Claudia answered. She said the same thing as the first agent, i.e., call TriCare. So, I asked about costs. She wanted to screen me with security questions, saying it was their policy. I submitted to the screening. When asked about the cost of the premiums, she said I was not eligible. I said I wanted to know the costs, why can't she share that with me. She then accused me of being disrespectful. I turned it back on her. Who is being disrespectful. I am asking a question and she is dodging and not answering. I asked her for her full name. She then provided me the cost info. Too bad the Humana has these rude agents because if we can't get passed them, we will never know get Humana and not know how good their medical services are.

Worst system ever! Every referral I get is always wrong! The app need information I don't have! If I call I'm on hold for over an hour to fix a referral to only get a new referral that's not valid! Horrible system for health care!

Minimal support for the vets. Calling for a code that's required for medical equipment and after being transferred multiple times still no equipment or coded. Waste of time to ask for help, you are better off suffering alone and hope it works out.

Humana and Tricare should be ashamed for the way they are allowed to treat veterans. They continually give the same message (that they must wait another 30 - 90 "Business days) even when the hospital has started collections against a $55,000 surgery bill. The paperwork was submitted on time, but Humana rejected because they wanted a form stating when the injury that resulted with my surgery happened. I explained it was gradual (shoulder) but they stated that wasn't good enough. So I filled out the paperwork as they requested, and without notifying me, they rejected the authorization because the reviewer didn't want what the Humana counselor told me to put on it. So another 30 - 90 business days later, I am now getting charged $500 a month on a fixed income from the surgeon, and Humana could care less. The VA system should replace Humana without delay. Absolute CRAP organization. Out to screw over everyone while they pad their pockets.

Signed up for Humana Insurance through the Federal Employees Health Benefits program in 2022. I was sent an ID card, and I have since gone to see various doctors throughout the year. During the second half of the year, I was issued another ID card and updated it with all of my doctor's offices. Fast forward to 2024, and I started receiving denials for my claims stating that I did not have insurance. Humana ended their contract with FEHB, but according to the Humana website, I still had insurance until they phased it out. My employer had an issue taking FEHB out of my paychecks, and I called Humana for more information. This complaint is regarding Humana and customer service. Every time i called I was unable to speak to a representative due to me not being my employer. I have called multiple times to ask about my account and try to expedite the coverage, as my medical bills are all being sent back to me to pay. My employer has since fixed the issue on their end and has been working with Humana to get all of my doctor's office visits retroactively covered so that Humana can pay them. I believe that because I am an employee, I should have access to any actions taken on my account. To this day, I am still attempting to get Humana to pay for my doctor's visits retroactively. I am very disappointed in this insurance and its customer service.

Awful insurance. You pay for this insurance on a monthly basis and instead what you get is bills to your house about how they refused to cover the cost. There is no communication between the hospital or the insurance. And there is no communication between the insurance and the person paying the insurance. They will have your contact information like email or phone and will not properly contact you but fault you for not knowing that they refused to pay. Then to top it off customer service is difficult to reach. I have had nothing but a horrible experience with this insurance. Extremely disappointing.

Humana Military Tricare East is trash. Think about it they got the contract by being the lowest bidder with the promise of quality healthcare for veterans and active duty. The majority of the blame falls on DoD.. There healthcare practices is a repeat of the VA 2010 scandal. I think all veterans in the East region should start an online petition and submit it to the DoD for action. And if it’s not addressed we go to the local media.

Absolutely zero assistance and would never recommend anyone have them. Customer service is useless and they deny medically necessary surgeries for a child. They have you jump through hoops for days and keep telling you different things just to in the end lie and not pay for the procedure
