On April 1, 2021 we gave Tommy C********** (owner of Tommy's Painting LLC/Tom's Painting LLC) a deposit of $2500 and signed a handwritten contract to have him power wash and paint our house located at ** ******** **, Brookfield, MA. On April 6, 2021 he came to our residence to power wash. The job was inadequate (pictured). Per our contract, he was supposed to return within one week to begin painting, weather permitting. He changed the start date on the painting job three times. The first two were agreeable but the third time, we stated that would not work for us as he was pushing the start date into July. His demeanor changed at that time with him sending intimidating texts late at night. Further, when we informed him that we would like our money back plus the $350 we paid another contractor to fix the three siding panels he knocked off of the front of the house while power washing (pictured), he sent multiple texts stating that he may take legal action against me. On June 17, he stated that the job "just seems like it's going to be more of a problem" and that he would "talk to my associate for advice and have a bill written up" and "will refund some of your money back." He then stated he wanted to hear from me in 7 days to which I responded that I'd like him to just mail it to me at our address. He agreed to this, however, nothing ever came in the mail. On June 19, he sent a long text which implied that he'd been to our house that evening when I was alone. My children were out of state, but when they heard that, called the Brookfield Police Station and explained the situation to them and requested increased drive bys that night. On June 22 I texted him asking him to refrain from coming onto our property until this was settled and gave him until July 15, 2021 to return our money plus the $350 to fix the siding. He has not refunded our money or contacted us further. He has multiple business names, facebook pages, and is not registered with the state as an LLC.
