      I purchased general liability insurance on 5/30/24 and was notified by email of my policy number HBW4504132XB. It then sent a registration email to login and create a password. Every time I launch this link it errors out and will not let me proceed on www.simplybusiness.com. I figured out how to resend the activation email and have made multiple attempts to login. I then proceeded to reach out to the company through chat, as well as the various numbers attached to their website and email. Every line has a disconnect tone that wont even ring. I need my documents as this is now impacting my business. This feels like an a scam at this point that everyone should be aware of to steer clear of.

      I had an Insurance with this company Simply Business.I received an email on 02/04/2024 of an automatic renewal of this insurance.The Policy number is : MKUS4013562XB But i don't want to renew with this company.I've tried to get contact with them to request cancellation of this renewal, and informing them that i did not authorized any new debit in my credit card.I siply dont want insurance from them, I dont want renewal.Today i received an automatic renewal email from them, even after contacting them to request cancel of renewal, and my credit card was charged (amount $ 78.20)I didnt authorized any debit in my credit card from this company.This is abuse !This is unnacceptable I want this policy cancelled and the transaction refunded (my money back)Please help me to solve this, because this company doesnt care and simply charge me without my authorization,Thanks *********************

      A few weeks ago I was charged at a much higher rate than I had initially signed up for with no notice. When I called SB about it they told me that I had been contacted through ************ (they have the wrong *********** didn't get any emails about the increase of price) so ******* that I spoke to offered a refund, which I accepted. The refund was never processed & the charge is still on my account. Please refund the amount if $200 as I was promised. I don't need your insurance, I got a lower rate elsewhere & I am covered.

      Oct-25-23, contractor RCE Handyman **, Had 2 insurance policies one with Simply Business , and also ****** ******* Contractor started work, his workers damaged my property, didn't finish I have a 1/3 of my house torn apart, work RCE did was not complete job and what they did is all wrong so I have to have the whole home redone. There are issues that were done inside that never got done, Items damages, garage door, shed, window, door, and a lot more. I am disappointed that he has a policy but I cannot get anything done with the 2 insurances as ***************** is in jail. and my home has been the way it is for over a year. During this year I have called , emailed both insurance companies to no avail. I did have a person from ****** Ins come out and take pictures of most of the damages. I am being told they are not responsible for his not completeing the work, the damages, and so much more.. I have been in contact with the ** BBB gave them all the info I had and was basically told they can do nothing, I have contacted The state Consumer Protection, and have an ************* Detective working on this case.

      I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. The company and I were sending emails back and forth for months, then it was sent to ****** Ins which was also listed on my certificate of insurance... I was told Simply Business had assigned this to ****** after hearing nothing from Simply Business, they did tell me there were clauses in the policy, which I never did see and they refused to send me a copy as ****************** had the policy and would have to request it but he could not as he was in jail. I had sent copies of all communication to the BBB of **, ********** of ******** Protection, Atty ******* ***********************,   When ****** Ins received the claim they sent a rep over to my home for pictures and my story. He took pictures of the house for over an hour at all the damage and what a disaster the house was left in. I have also sent a complaint to BBB of IL as this is where ****** is located, still waiting for answer.  I believe that between all of the BBB services that something should be done. It is over a year now and there are holes in the side of the house, the only thing keeping some cold air out is the inside wall.. ... I have had mice making home under my loose siding, getting into my home,  birds making nests I cannot afford to fix this as the contractor scammed me out of $250,000 and is now in jail.. Just to clarify, Simply Business is the agent for ****** Insurance and according to our records RCE Handyman only had a ****** Insurance Policy.  As to the claim itself, Simply Business is not able to offer insight regarding the reasons for a claim to have been denied.  The claims claims adjuster for ****** will be able to explain why this policy does not cover the claims you have stated.

      I paid simply business for my insurance the 20th of October and ask that it be active on the 25th. The 25th I called in and asked them to submit that I was insured to the ********** of ***** and industries for the ******************* prior to the 29th when my current insurance would lapse. The attached letter shows that it was not done via the proper methods and my registration as a contractor was suspended. I'm now looking at disruption of business schedule, time spent correcting this issue, plus a reinstatement fee with the ********** of ***** and industries stated in the letter attached.

      I got a notice in the mail saying that my policy was going to be auto-renewed as of a certain date. I called and asked what this account was for, I dont remember signing up for it in the first place. The agent refused to help me at all without verifying a bunch of my personal information. No one in their right mind would give all their personal information over the phone to a business unless they knew who they were speaking to. The letter didnt even reference my business at all.I provided the policy number on the letter, and told him that they were not to auto-renew this account. It offered that they could send another letter to the account in question and perhaps request a signature from the account holder in question to charge for a renewal. He refused and also very rudely refused to offer any other solution. He said that the account would be charged for renewal unless I gave him my personal information. This account needs to be cancelled. I dont even know what the account is for. Charging a customer for a supposed auto-renewal for an account that they dont even recognize is ridiculous, and expecting a person to give up personal information to an establishment that they dont recognize at all is horrible practice.

      I purchased an insurance policy for my upstart business on 3/23/22. The coverage was to be active on 4/1/22. On 4/5 it was determined more information was needed. After speaking to a representative and providing the information requested I was told my premium would be increasing by almost 250%. I immediately requested to cancel the policy and was told by agent of the company that they usually dont refund money but in this situation she would reach out to a manager for a possible refund. She advised me not to cancel and for me to give time for a manager to respond to her request and she will call me back. She didnt call back as promised which prompted me to call. Upon calling back I spoke to another agent who advised me the same as the previous agent had. When asked what was the reason for canceling I explained that is was too expensive. I could not afford to pay the whole premium up front but the the initial lump sum coupled with low monthly payments were feasible. Unfortunately with the recent changes to this policy I needed to look elsewhere. 3 more days passed and I receive a call from another agent who frankly told me I will not be receiving any money back and to avoid any additional fees I would be better off just keeping the policy. At this point I was extremely frustrated and felt like I was misled. I ended the call that day because which was a Friday and decided to call back Monday and speak to a manager. I spoke to 2 separate agents who repeated the same rhetoric about how theres nothing they could do, its company policy and there was no manager there that could help me. The kicker was now I agreed to the policy being canceled on the 4/17 and since that has been imputed into there systems the policy can no longer be cancel because the system wont allow it. Its gets better. They act as an intermediary so they are not even the carrier. When I question the policy its the carrier but when I question the cancellation its their system. Im at a lost.

      We appreciate you reaching out and apologize for your frustration. We took a look back at our records and wanted to share with you more details, and hopefully offer some clarification. 
      It appears that adjustments to your policy needed to be made due to an underwriting validation in order to ensure that the policy covered the business properly based on the application. Our records show that three attempts were made to get in touch with you on April 5, 8 and 11, by both email and phone. Our process is typically three attempts to reach the customer within five ********************** days before getting back to underwriting. If the necessary changes are not made, it typically leads to a notice of cancellation, which is what occurred here. We also see that we did not hear back from you until April 15, after the notice of cancellation was mailed out. The only way to rescind the notice of cancellation was to make those necessary changes to the policy, which shows that you did not agree with those changes, due to the increase in price. Unfortunately, these notices are initiated by the carrier and are not a Simply Business decision. Most recently, we are aware that you spoke with one of our agents on April 22, and were presented with the option to cancel that day or schedule a cancellation for *** 17. The agent you spoke with explained that once a cancellation is scheduled it cannot be rescinded, and an agreement was reached to schedule a cancellation for *** 17.

      Bought insurance coverage for my business on 3/6/2022. Today on 3/7/2022 I cancelled the policy because it was overpriced and didnt cover what I needed it to for my business. I was told I would not receive any of the money I spent to start this policy. I did not have any claims or anything. This is a form of theft.

       Seems to me that basically if someone doesnt use your policy you cover yourself by refunding only .5 after I paid over ****** plus dollars for this  seems like a scam to me
