Reason: The BMW dealership at Shrewsbury, MA, have not been able to fix the issue with my *** i8. However, they forced me to make the payment of $3000 saying the issue is solved while the issue still not resolved. After making the payment(Date/Time: 9/22/2022 2:16 PM), they say that the issue is not solved and now they are denying to return the amount. Summary: The dealership left the reservoir cap kept it open while returning my car from regular service, which led to engine heat issue within 2 miles driving back . When I reported about it, I have to get it towed back to them. They took nearly 2 months with multiple trial and errors resulting in heating the engine 16 times( base on FASTA data collected from the car). They tried to replace the coolant pipes and water pump. after two months they sent me email that everything is fixed with no coolant leak and engine overheat and tested it multiple times and I should make $3000 payment in-order for them to deliver the car. After making payment, they said that issue still exists and should take back my car and get the engine replaced and denied refunding the payment that I made. The dealership created issue, did not fix it and charged me $3000 without fixing anything.

      Hi,

So sorry for the late response. The customer that made the complaint told us he dropped it after it was determined that he had a major collision and that it was possible his issue is from that collision. His insurance company is now back involved.

      Thank You

This is in reference to an Allstate Complete Protection cancellation and refund owed. 27 Feb 2022: I submitted the Allstate Complete Protection cancellation form as requested by BMW of Shrewsbury's Director of Finance (Adam T*******) in order to receive a refund on the vehicle protection package due to trading in the vehicle. I also included a separate letter (attached) indicating an update to my mailing address in Colorado in order to receive the refund at my current address. 28 Feb 2022: Mr. T******* acknowledged receipt via email and indicated it would take 4-6 weeks to process. 6 April 2022: I emailed Mr. T******* again, 5 weeks later, seeking an update. Received a reply saying it was processed but would be 6-8 weeks to process. 28 April 2022: I emailed again, now 10 weeks removed from the initial submission, seeking an update on where my refund was. Mr. T******* indicated he didn't know and would get back to me. 3 May 2022: I still have not received the refund and have no update from the BMW of Shrewsbury dealership. I want a refund per the contract.

I want to report a fraudulent activity from a BMW of Shrewsbury in Massachusetts. On November 4th 2021, the service advisor named Justin J***** & his manager tried to charge me for a service I didn't want to perform and illegally seized my car when I refused to pay for the services I didn't approved. They argued that I signed the invoice, in which has Justin's hand-writing of the services he recommended. I was quickly dropping off the car for regular maintenance service and signed the invoice unaware that he wrote additional services into it (see attachment). I've never signed a reprinted invoice nor he never reconfirmed the services added on with his hand-writing to the original invoice. Justin offered to split the charge in half with me, I refused. He took me to the manager sitting in the next cubicle. After hearing the story, the manager did not state his solution, instead he asked me whether the vehicle was purchased there, I said no, then he search and said that there was no history of services under my name at the dealer before (we purchased an X5 under my son's name at this dealer). That seem to gear his decision, he said that nothing he can do since I signed the invoice and he thinks the 50/50 splitting offer is reasonable!!!! I left without paying for those unapproved add-on services and the BMW dealer seized the car.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/08) */ after speaking with Justin and the service manager Curt it seems quite clear that he had approved the services . additionally he accepted the 50/50 split and is currently in possession of his vehicle. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I've never approved the service and never accepted the 50/50 split solution. I was simply forced to pay to have my car released from the dealer. No choice! Additionally, on the road trip down to FL I found out that the dealer took off the wiper blade from driver side - dirty move! This affected our driving safety on the highway in case of heavy rain and I'll report this to the police. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/10) */ Good Morning, I'm not sure how to proceed as the work was in fact approved and we took 50% as a gesture of good will which again he/they accepted. Additionally the accusation that we took the wiper blade is absurd and not worthy of a reply
