1 starI sat for the ****-SCP exam on 12.03.2024. I took the exam in my home office, where I have taken a number of remote certification exams, all with rigorous processes to ensure integrity and honesty in the test-taking environment. I have never experienced the humiliation and absurdity of the Prometric proctor process. I ultimately re-connected at least 5 times, showing the backs of my ears, emptying trash pails, pulling trays of printers out to remove papers, disconnecting printer wires, and on and on for more than 1.5 hours. When I finally was able to enter the exam, I was thoroughly drained and totally distracted. I began answering the exam questions as quickly as I could. Although a while into the exam I would have wanted to take the 15-minute break which was available to me and my bladder was busting (tough on a 68-year old woman), I had been warned by the proctor, that taking a break would require a re-do of the security process. Going through that again was not an option. I sat until I completed the exam. I did not pass. That result can happen. I am not taking issue with the result. I am taking issue with the abominable conduct of the proctors, and their attitudes which demonstrate dreadful customer service. Moreover, that Prometric is the proctoring service for the ******* *** ***** ******** ************* goes against everything which **** and its CEO, ****** ******, profess to stand for in the profession, and I am a professional with nearly 50 years of experience as an executive. Shame on **** and Prometric.Review fromJade L

1 starMy exam was cancelled due to a hurricane and Prometric emailed me stating that they would send me a confirmation for my new test date after 3-5 business days and not to email or call Prometric. I called today, on day 5, as I have not received any updates and the customer service representative was extremely condescending. As soon as I told her my situation she told me I was supposed to call the testing center- which I was told not to do by the testing center because Prometric handles all exam scheduling. Then she proceeded to huff and puff into the phone while I opted to read her the full email Prometric sent me specifically stating 3-5 business days and PROMETRIC will get back to me and she continued to talk to me like I am stupid. Repeating herself over again telling me it's not their responsibility and I should've called the testing center. I asked her to transfer me to a manager because I did not want to deal with her attitude when I am asking for help and she put me back on the hold line for another 30 minute wait to talk to another regular customer service representative. I hung up and called my testing center, and again was informed that they do not handle the rescheduling and that Prometric is supposed to update me.Review fromCarrie T

2 starsIf you have a choice at all, testing in person is much better than the online option. I was kicked out of my test for using the restroom during the designated 5 minute break between test sections. They are rude and don't give you your money back. How on earth they have a great rating with the BBB is beyond me. Trust the customer reviews; that's your indicator right there.Review fromAngela S

1 starPrometric is failing HCA in Washington state for continous monetary reasons. I have took my skills test 2x..I have received adequate support through peer mentorship and I passed all but one simple skill that I know was accurate according to Prometrics standards because I rechecked it. This has caused a major impact in my life. I haven't worked since 4/30/24 due to the negligence of a Prometric instructor who observed me at the time. Very biased and someone needs to be held accountableReview fromSteven F

1 starIf I could give less stars I would. Opted for the remote test, because I live an hour from the test center. Unfortunately, had to retake the test because the application they used to secure your computer uses half the screen space and you can’t read or answer questions with a 10 inch screen. Whoever came up with this idea wasn’t very bright. By the grace of God, I was offered a retest at a test center. I scheduled my test a week in advance and on the Friday evening, three days before my test they canceled it and rescheduled it for a day that i’m out of the country. This is the last possible date to this exam before it changes. I’ve been waiting a year to take this examReview fromPat K

1 starwas scheduled for a test, but when I went to take it they refused it because of I use a Track Mouse. I have reviewed all Documents that was sent to me, including all links in them. There is No where it says you can't use it. after being on the phone for an hour they sent me a link for Accommodations. to me Accommodations for any test is Medical or Translations issues. I would have never thought of a Trackball Mouse being something I need an accommodation for. they charge $150 for the test I was to take, they aren't' returning the money which they should because it's their issue not saying in any Documation what's allowed to be used while taking the test, everything they sent me talks about clothing and food. Even the link in the email says nothing about what's not allowed hardware wise on your computer.Review fromNataly S

1 starTook my test in October, certificate was never mailed out. They claimed it was email out two days later. First time I called after a month of my test exam, they said it will get to your house and it’s probably late. Called now in May because my job had asked for the certificate and I told them I thought they had it because it was never mailed to me directly. The lady on the phone asked why did you call after 7 months and I had told her I called a month after my exam, she said there’s no note that was left that you called. Okay? Whose fault is that? Obviously prometrics employee who didn’t do their job right. First time I called, I got an attitude saying it will arrive soon. How soon I asked and she said soon with an attitude. So I called to get my certificate today and she said that she has to ask her supervisor to approve sending a duplicate and that I HAVE TO PAY AGAIN. How is it that you sent a certificate that was never arrived to my house? Not like anyone stoled it out of my mailbox with the cameras I have installed. I will not be paying to get my certificate when first employee couldn’t do her job right. Not only was it me, EVERYONE in my group who took the test with me LITERALLY had to call them a month or two after because they never received their certificate. The problem is obviously them. At this point I should get a lawyer involved. If they “claim” to leave a note and send the certificates right after the exam then none of my other classmates should have called as well just to receive it. Few still don’t even have it till now because they are tireddddd of speaking to these peopleReview fromHenry I

1 starThe online scheduling system is f’ing disaster! Impossible to use - keeps getting stuck on page 2. It does not matter what browser you use. Their customer service is non-existent. The testing center I’ve used is fine, but scheduling is awful and they make it impossible to reschedule - probably so they can charge you a $50 fee when you don’t show up. Their locations are in the crappy areas of town.Review fromAshli D

1 starZERO STARS Terrible scheduling experience and subpar customer service. The website to schedule is faulty and does not work. Good luck getting through to anyone to help you in a timely manner. I just spent two hours on hold trying to schedule a test date, ANY date, and was hung up on at hour 2. The fact that I likely need to take an additional two hours out of my work day to restart the process and get my test scheduled is unacceptable. Way to make secondary testing accessible - not! Proctor-U was a better experience, and they left me during my break for 1.5 additional hours on the day of my last test. That says A LOT.
