Usually I wouldn’t even write a review about an emergency room, because I do expect some type of wait so I’m fairly reasonable in that sense. However this hospitals ER has to be worse than hospitals in the most dangerous areas of Baltimore. I would rather wait in bon secours or northwest hospital. If you’ve ever experienced any of these hospitals, please understand Frederick Health ER is a thousand times worse. The fact that I would see ppl dragging them online but just figured it was the entitled ppl of Frederick, when really it is NOT! This place is absolutely madness ! Arriving at 1:30 pm and not getting into a room until after midnight the next day is I N S A N E. I really think we deserve donkey of the day for staying that long, but because it was a serious issue we didn’t want to take any chances. Everything is low budget and ghetto. X-rays taken with your hoodie on, an influx of crackheads and mental patients being seen before ppl with serious issues, an elderly woman projectile vomiting her whole weight on to the floor and the receptionist just watching without calling anyone or putting a chuck down to cover it, and I could go on and on. I’m truly traumatized and will never step foot back in this place. The wait times between test results are also crazy. If an ultrasound was performed at 11am why is the patient still here at 4pm waiting for it to be read so they can be discharged?! This isn’t a real place. Idk who’s running this hospital but it needs to be shut down. A drunk off the street came in was seen immediately & left on his own. He then was brought back hours later and told to sleep it off in a room that should be for the 100 sick ppl in the lobby. He argued with our nurse for aN hour or more wanting them to get him a motel 6 and Uber ride. Why is this priority ? Call buttons being ignored so they can have a mini AA meeting in the hallway. Oh and after all those traumatizing experiences they want to put you in a shared room with the foolishness

I was transported to Frederick Health and was admitted. It was my understanding (according to their website) that ER charges would be dropped If the patient was O. On 8/18/2021 I was transported and was admitted for 8 days. Why were the ER charges not dropped when I was admitte as a patient? The ER charges were $873.92. On my itemized bill I was charged $8,810.00 for "FOR ROOM AND BED/ADMISSION CHARGES". Someone from registration comes around and takes all of your information for them to file ER charges. Ask someone who works at FHH if this is true. My insurance company was charged $14,400 for my 8 day stay. Perhaps my insurance company needs to look into this policy, unless FHH has changed it. ER charges are to be removed from the patient's account if they are admitted directly from the ER.
