My husband and I came to this dealership on Friday, May 24 looking for a newer used SUV and we test drove a 2021 GMC Terrain which we both really liked and it seemed reasonable priced. We wanted to review what the finance terms would be and do more research on the car. Unfortunately, we were suckered into putting a $500 hold to reserve the car is what we were verbally told by the sales manager and he said if at any time we decided not to move forward to purchase that we can get a refund of our hold money. Well that very night a few hours after leaving. We emailed back and forth asking questions about getting a bumper to bumper warranty and finance cost terms. We asked to remove the $500 hold and a rust proofing they added but instead no response via email but a threatening phone call the next morning to me saying we signed a purchase agreement which we clearly did not and stating we needed to come pick up the car. Also, we researched (GMC Terrains tend to have transmission issues according to internet search) and going over finance terms and cost of bumper to bumper this no longer works for us and our budget. Instead of good faith and returning our hold of $500 as that was verbally told to us. So, after back and forth over the phone they said its company policy to keep the hold money. Instead of saying its unfortunate this deal didnt work out but hopefully in the future we can earn your business they have lost a potential customer forever and from my family and friends.
