I got a letter from AAA Life Insurance Company on 6-9-2024, indicating that my life insurance policy only covered me to age 65. I would turn 65 on 6-16-2024. So, I called to get info on converting over to a whole life policy. I talked to a lady named *******************. After speaking with her, I decided to switch to whole life @ $113 per month. The charge appeared on my credit card for the new policy on 6-17. Six days later, another charge for $113 appeared on my credit card, as well as a charge for $59 (which was the monthly charge for the old policy that was supposed to have been cancelled. In the meantime, I had received a letter from AAA Life Insurance that said that my old policy (which was supposed to have been cancelled) was 2 months behind in payments. I called AAA Life Ins customer service to find out why all this was happening. They told me that the new policy, for reasons unknown, was back dated to May 23. I said that was incorrect, and the lady I was talking to said I would have to work that out with *******************. I called ******************* (on 7-3-24) and asked her why all this was happening. She said it was "customer services fault", and said she would have a supervisor call me.On 7-8-24, after having recieved no call and no refund, I again called *******************, and got her voice mail. I told her that I wanted a refund posted be the end of the business day, or I would cancel the policy and dispute the extra charges through my credit card company.******************* called my back several hours later, and said a refund had been issued for the extra charges, and that they were starting the application process for this policy all over again. While she was on the phone, I pulled up my credit card account on my computer. No refunds had been issued. I told her to cancel the policy and refund the entire amount. She said that I would need to contact customer service. I told HER to contact customer service, and I hung up.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

[You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please type details here:]  The original response from AAA Life that I received dated Friday, July 12, stated that both policies had finally been closed.   I THEN received a call from AAA employee ******************* (sp) on Monday, July 15.  He left a voicemail indicating that he could get the ball rolling on closing those accounts (that supposedly had been closed already) if I would call him back and discuss it with him.   I am disgusted with this company lying to me.  ******************* was supposed to cancel the OLD policy upon issuing the NEW policy,  back on June 17.  She lied when she said she would take care of it.  I DO NOT wish to receive ANY MORE PHONE CALLS from this dishonest company.

I applied for life insurance and I was denied because of a report they got from ******** IntelliScript. They said I can obtain that report from ******** and I have tried and ******** has refused to provide any information on the report. Which they either doesn't have anything to report or sent AAA false information. Also, I was told in the advertising no medical exams and only 4 medical questions. I answer all question truthfully yet they based their denial on a report that I have been refuse access too. Also, if their is only four medical questions then why are they asking for more medical information from ********? In the denial letter they said that I have the right to dispute it with ******** that was a lie because I have tried and they refuse it. They denial has no bases. Yet they continue to send me advertisement to purchase their product.

On June 6, 2024, I lost my sister ************************** who has 2 separate life insurance policies through AAA Life Insurance. One claim, in the amount of $5,024.50 was paid on June 17, 2024. The other claim, in the amount of $5,029.70 remains unpaid. When I phoned AAA 2 weeks ago, I was told that the claim had been processed and payment should be received shortly. When I phone today, I was told that the claim had not been processed and the claim would have to be expedited which would take 2 weeks before someone gets back to me. AAA was notified 4 weeks ago of my sisters passing and these funds are being used for final disposition and my having to wait 8 weeks for payment is unacceptable.

I am a AAA member because I have insurance for a car. Thus the company is harassing me with life insurance "qualification" on a weekly or biweekly basis. I have tried to contact them to stop sending such a scam. It only got worse. Now I have multiple size envelopes with multiple offer to purchase a product I will NEVER acquire it from them. Since life insurance is only good when you are dead, I call it "inheritance assurance or an excellent reason to be killed". Would kindly make them stop their harassment. I would truly appreciate it.

I cancelled AAA a while ago. They asked for my new address so I could cancel. I was stupid enough to give them it. I received many many letters within a few months. All the same or similar from AAA. A lot of them said second attempt. All disguised to sell me life insurance. Pushy pushy people! Now they may say you should have read the small print. I feel like its harassment. I called today and asked to be removed from their mailing list, they said it would be ***** days to take effect! Why!! Just stop sending them! Would you like it? No.Please dont respond to this trying to make amends as you dont actually care, it would just be to look like an effort is being made.
