I would not recommend doing business with Icon Restoration & Construction. Their employees have little respect for their customers and are incredibly immature, specifically **** ****** and ***** Coral. My insurance chose Icon R&C to repair damage to my roof after a big storm. ***** performed the initial inspection and provided an estimate to fix the roof. I called the office and was sent to **** Misners voicemail, which was no big deal to me. After not receiving a call back I called again the next day. The person that answered said I see **** is at his desk, Ill transfer you to him right now., and did so. However I was sent to voicemail again. After a few minutes I got a call from ***** mentioning that I should have been calling him directly but stated that Icon would actually refuse my roofing job, as they wouldnt be able to warranty the work. He also mentioned that my insurance had told him they would not pay for the full job and would only cover this small repair. (Later, when I reached out to my insurance company, they stated ************** even submitted a request for the full job). We ended the call amicably, but then I started receiving text messages from ***** (mistakenly sent to me instead of ****). ***** stated that I wouldnt be bothering **** anymore, with a gif from the Godfather, implying that he got rid me. Within a few minutes, ***** called back trying to apologize, but the damage was already done. Now, not only do I have to start over with another contractor, but my roof still has holes in it from the storm. Icon R&C wasted my time, my insurances time, and their own time providing an estimate but refusing to do the work later, and lying about the scope of work covered by insurance.

Unbelievable! Our insurance hired them for restorations. During that time, they have ruined our kitchen sink and small things that we werent worried about but cracked our bathroom tile and made it uneven by the jackhammer they used. My husband tried contacting them for a couple of days and couldnt get ahold of the mediator. Finally, they looked at the issue and said they were going to address it if we went through them. We didnt go through them, and now were left with dealing with their own mess because insurance isnt covering it. Clearly, it was not like that before we left the house. They marked it as a wear and tear and bad caulking but I have pictures of our bathtub before they were in there! Take accountability for your actions and stop doing this to people. My family and I have been through a lot, as we havent been home for almost a month now. Now, we have to deal with this issue on top of another.

If I could give a minus I would. We had a terrible flood at the beginning of September. This flood destroyed our entire basement we lost it all. Furniture that was still being paid all the toys from my young children. I called ICON out help with restoration. I told the guy I was working with that I was not sure if the insurance would cover it and asked how much it would cost. We had not lived in our house long and money was extremely tight. He assured me the insurance company would cover and not to worry. A couple days went by and I again expressed my concern about insurance coverage but allowed them to do the work because the company said they worked with insurance companies all the time and our basement would be fully covered. So they began restoration. On day 3 I received word from my insurance company that my basement would not be covered by insurance. When I called to let them know I would be a self pay customer now and asked again what the cost would be they LEFT! I mean literally packed up all the fans, tools, 3 trucks and left. Not only did they leave but they left out of my very large basement window when the workers heard me arguing, beginning the company not to leave and to finish the job. Only one woman came upstairs to inform me they were told by the boss that they had to leave mid job and she was very sorry. This company is a scam that is only out for insurance money. They will leave you when you are at your lowest. I called and all other companies were booked solid so it so hard to get another company to come out. ICON should be ashamed at how they run their business and treat people. As spring time is approaching pleas beware of this company.

This has been a never-ending nightmare. Original job was to rehang ceiling drywall, repaint the ceilings in the family room / kitchen and repaint the walls. The ceiling to be replaced were two small sections in the family room and kitchen - NOT an entire ceiling. We are now on our third project manager. What should have been a simple repair has turned into complete sanding and refinishing of the hardwood floors in our foyer and kitchen because their paint crew damaged the floors with blue painter's tape. I echo the commenter's observations below: communication is TERRIBLE (I am always chasing them for answers - they are not proactive) and their crews are messy, resulting in more damage created than repaired. It should also be noted that they would not give us a start date, nor duration of job without paying for half the cost up front. They have not been completing items as itemized in the estimate - there are many things we have been doing ourselves (e.g. move furniture, clean flooring / worksite). This has been going on for months and we are living in a state of suspension / inconvenience in our own home. STAY AWAY!

This company has completely ruined my sense of comfort in my home. They have ZERO commitment to professional, honest or timely communications. The work product I am currently experiencing is audacious. They are slow to address the issues created by their own failures to honor the terms of a customer's contract with them. This company did not close off any work area with plastic or any other barrier to protect furnishings, carpet, dishes etc. from sawdust Here are actual examples of the verbiage I have communicated to them without reasonable response from them, whether demonstrated by written memos or actions on their part:I request that; all of the trim in each room, the foyer, one half bath, hallway and kitchen be of the same design, stained color-tone, and height.I request that; my floor to be constructed with/of wood that does not contain wood filler, or require the use of cosmetic remedies like liquid wood.I request that; the cabinet and all of the contents contained inside of it to be cleaned.I request that; you rub out this blemish if possible.Or, sand and stain it if necessary. While your company was working, they ruined several rugs by depositing saw dust and soil on them. They did not implement the use of a drop cloth in the utility room,I request that; you have the three rugs replaced. While your company was working, they caused damage one of the panels to the patio doors blind. This has caused me to use a king sized sheet, that was previously used as a drop cloth as a covering. I request that; you replace the blinds along the back wall and restore the balance and ******* to the room that existed prior to your removing said blind and stacking boxes and other items on it.I request that; you do whatever needs to be done to re-attach the back splash of each granite counter top. When water entered the basement ceiling, it accumulated at a lower point where the ceiling drops. I request that you confirm the adjusters approval and repair this wall.
