I'm having the same issue. They billed our insurance company $8,000 for 12 miles *************** We also had no say so as the urgent care called for the transport. Yep, billed the $****** TWICE for a total of $800.00 for an ekg monitor plus the $60.00 charge. ***************** did not understand these additional charges either. Was told to have them resubmit the bill for further review. Called Superior and talked to a rude lady who literally laughed at me about resubmitting the bill. I got so p***** off I hung up on her (although they did remove one of the ****** charges.) Can't believe you're having a heart attack, being transferred and a monitor is not part of the $8,000 bill. Maybe it's time the hospitals quit using them and the insurance company's or *********** take action.

My brother went to **************************************** Hospital on 2-14-2023 with a heart condition. He was transferred by the hospital to *****************************. They used Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service. He did not have a choice on the ambulance or consent to use this service. They charged his insurance company Aetna $3,389.00. The insurance company paid them $879.96. Superior is billing him for an additional ********. On the bill, they charged him $60 for a service Aetna considers to be part of the payment for another service on the same day. Also, $400 for a service Aetna does not find reasonable and appropriate. They also charged $2500 for ALSI-EMERGECY and $429.00 for GROUND MILEAGE. I contacted DataiSight who negotiates for Aetna to talk to Superior. They said that Superior Ambulance refused to negotiate with them. In March of 2022, my brother had a heart attack and went to ********************* They transferred him to ******************* in Southgate on 3-16-2022 to get a stent. He was transported by Rapid Response Emergency Services approximately 23 miles. They charged $1388.98 for the transportation. Aetna paid the entire amount. This ambulance company charged less than the fee for twice the distance of Superior.An 11-mile 15-minute trip that required nothing from the EMTs did not cost this exorbitant amount. This company should not be in business. The balance should be wiped out and they should accept the reasonable amount given to them by the insurance company.This company victimizes people who are sick and need help.

This ambulance service never came to my dad's home, nor were they called. I have a fraudulent $450 charge on his credit card.
