This company is nothing but a scam. *****************************, *************************************, and ****** ******** are doing nothing but stealing money from their customers. We signed our contract with CHB on March 12, 2021. We closed on our construction loan June 30, 2021. From July 1, 2021 through May 5, 2022 the only work that was completed was the excavation and foundation. ****** and Connor blatantly lied to us on many occasions. We paid a $10,000 deposit to begin the construction and paid over $20,000 in change orders for upgrades. These change orders were not added to the sworn statement and the money was stolen. We paid for the foundation and all flatwork in October 2021. The waiver of lien for the flatwork was signed by **************** **************************** (GBSI) Manager ********************* in January 2022. The garage slab and front porch wasn't poured at that time. They never poured the front porch. The basement and garage slabs need to be repaired due to GBSI's incompetence to pour flatwork. The basement slab was never protected from the weather when it was poured in December 2021.We met with ****** in February to find out where our cash was and to show us proof of our money or proof of the orders for the cabinetry and upgrades we paid for. He told us he could spend our money any way he wanted to and the company was financially strong.****** and ********** have recently placed liens on our property for $80,000 halting all further construction with a new builder. One for the lumber and another for framing, windows and doors, etc. These are fraudulent liens. The house is nothing more than a foundation. These people are crushing our dreams of building a home.****** has since opened a new company called Red Leaf Construction. DO NOT do any business associated with *****************************, *************************************, or ****** ********.

The Company is a complete scam. They were to build a home for us over a year ago. They started but never finished - one excuse after another. The concrete in the garage is below industry standards and is cracked already. The framing done was not quality work and part of it fell over. There is a lien placed on my property for which my construction loan has paid already for lumber delivery (about $28,000) which I am now responsible for paying it again because Community Home Builders never paid the ****.Also paid about $29,755 in upgrades to the home by checks/credit cards which I have mostly not rec'd. The company is not answering phones and office is closed. ******** Police are investigating about a million dollars in "theft" By owners. The owner I heard is trying to open a new construction business under another name Red Leaf Construction but the licensing people have been notified. No one is answering phone calls we are have submitted paper work for arbitration through our lawyer but this is just adding more expenses to our home building project. I know of at least 3 other people with problems with Community Home Builders.

This company has taken our money and deceived us from day 1. We signed a contract with this business on August 2020. We were told our home would be built in four months. It took at least four months before ground was even broken. From that point our home would get worked on in spirts. Mostly occurring whenever my husband would call and complain. After which several months would go by before anyone would do anymore work. We would call and leave messages and our calls would go unanswered. Whenever we would get information it would be from our realtor or if we did drive byes to see if any progress had been made to the home. ****** would continuously change the completion dates for the project and continue to default on those dates. It got to the point were ****** stopped communicating with us and the realtor. It has been 21 month and our home is still not complete. We continued to get the run around until about two weeks ago when we found out Community Home Builders had gone out of business. As we inspected the home which 80% complete, we found out the home was built incorrectly and the foundation was dug below the water table causing the basement to flood continuously. We would like to file a complaint seeking to recover the money that was used as an down payment. I recommend this guy never be issued a license ever again. This has crushed our hopes and dreams of owning a new home build. As I sit here writing this, I remember Jermy's main concern was how much money can we put down on the home. We also later found out that ****** was having money issues when it came to paying his subcontractors and that several had placed liens on his properties for work completed which they had not been paid. Again we are looking to be compensated for money we have payed down on the home since the original signed contract was broken as of August 29, 2021.
