3 starsPurchased 9/14/23 electric start self propelled lawnmower. Mower began smoking first season and progressively got worse season 2024. Smoke was so extreme could not see the mower and would eventually shutdown. Electric start worked well 2023, however ********************************* manual pull start. Contacted Toro, was advised to carry to authorized Toro dealer for evaluation. Lawnmower is very heavy to lift and does not fit in my automobile, nor were any of the dealers in my area. I explained to Toro unable to take to authorized dealer. After much communication and frustration advised would never purchase another Toro product. If you are considering a Toro lawnmower.....RUN! 1 starI contacted A and B Lawn and Garden located in ********* **, about my defective Toro lawn mower and spoke to **** I explained while mowing my yard, a large shard of the deck had broken off and shot out the side chute dangerously. I was advised by Toro to have A & B inspect my mower under the Toro warranty. *** requested that I bring the mower into the shop for inspection. The next day, I took it in. The owner, ****, overheard me talking to another employee behind the counter. He sprang up, approached me, and began accusing me of abusing my lawn mower. He later claimed I must have run over a rock. I replied that I had been mowing the same yard for 15 years and that I do not have large rocks in my yard. I questioned whether rocks normally destroy the decking of Toro mowers. If they do, then I would not recommend buying a Toro, because the deck should deflect rocks, not shatter and send shards of flying metal. **** stated this has never happened before with Toro mowers. I explained that another business researched and found that this has happened several times to Toro mowers. So who is lying. **** who does not want to assist, work or inspect the mower or the other business that actually spent the time to look up previous issues with Toro mowers. **** then compared my situation to driving a car into a brick wall and EXPECTING him to fix it. I was completely offended by this analogy, as he was blaming me for simply mowing my lawn as I have done my entire adult life. **** refused to inspect my lawn mower as Toro advised me to do for the warranty claim. **** then ordered his employees not to assist me any further. **** was completely disrespectful, aggressive, and unprofessional. How could he conclude that I had abused the mower or run over a rock without even inspecting it?I am thankful that none of my family members were injured by this cheap Toro product. I am disappointed that neither **** nor Toro cares about my family's safety or honoring the warranty.Review fromPatty K

1 starBUYER BEWARE: have had their lawn mower for barely a year and took it to a repair shop where they told me that there was a defect and would need $1000 to replace the part. Called their warranty department and they refused to cover the replacement even after the shop reached out to them and told them that it was defect and not owner caused. Not only is their product a failure but their customer service is 100 times worse. They refuse to speak with you or allow you to speak with a supervisor and in essence disconnect the call with you still on the line. The customer service is a complete disgrace. They fool people into buying their quality products and then hide when that customer seeks help. They should be ashamed and they need to be stopped in fooling the public. I had a lawn mower for 20 years prior to this with no problem. Went with TORO this time and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made!!!! DON'T BUY!!!Review fromRobert O

1 starI purchased a Turo mower at ***** on April 3. This mower does not come with a discharge chute, however, Toro promises to send you one as soon as you register your mower. It is now May 10th and still no discharge chute. I plan on returning the mower to Lowes for a full refund.Review fromMark B.

1 starToro replaced a trans-axle on my proline 36' lawn mower. Toro installed a D7 instead of a D6. The trans-axle they installed has failed. According to the Toro website the trans-axles can not be mixed or it will cause damage to the trans-axles. The trans-axles must be installed in matching pairs either two D7 or two D6. I have been trying for months to get this problem solved. Toro replied that the mower had to go to a Toro Dealer. The lawnmower was worked on at the Toro Dealer that sold it to me.Toro has told the dealer that the warranty is over THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY PROBLEM THE WRONG TRAS-AXLE WAS INSTALLED. This part is over a ******** dollars. I do not understand why Toro will not install the correct trans-axle. THIS IS A TORO MISTAKE!Review frombruce s. m

5 starsI am now using the Toro Power Jet F700 - 137-9336 Blower. I have been using lawn equipment for 45 years and this blower is the best piece of lawn equipment that I have ever used. It's 3 speed power mode can blow debris from my driveway into the middle of our road effortlessly! I highly recommend this great product!************Review fromDavid M

1 starTook my 54"Timecutter Zero Turn to a dealer for a pump issue. The authorized repair facility validated the issue and contacted Toro on 10-4-2023. As of today, 1-22-2024, no update on status from Toro. Dealer has made several requests, but no luck. The clock is ticking on my warranty and getting any info from TORO is pretty much impossible. I just need my mower repaired before something else goes wrong.Review fromJason F

1 starWe purchased a Toro Timecutter in August of 2021. In September of 2023 it spontaneously caught fire in the garage while not in use. Toro had no interest in learning about the cause of the malfunction and refused to replace the unit or extend the warranty. Toro doesnt care if they sell products that spontaneously catch fire. Would never recommend to anyone.Review fromTom B

1 starToro Model# *****. I have purchased 5 Personal Pace Mowers and 1 Zero Turn over the years for myself and kids. Great speed control system. I'll never buy another! Call customer service and they will not tell you anything; "You have to contact a dealer". I therefore went to a dealer, and they were great. Problem is Toro, not the dealer. From the day it was new, most of the time it leaves a wind row of grass that if you had a mini baler you could bail grass. The recalls did not include this model. Well, the problem exists. They insisted the problem is 1) The grass is too long (Which is NOT the problem); 2) It's coming from the front right wheel. The dealer installed a shield on the back of the wheel that Toro is using on other models. This created a different problem; 3) The real problem is the back right corner, not the front corner; 4) The air intake on the deck to help grass stand up is a good idea on paper but not in reality as the air intake plugs up with grass. The last Toro product I'll ever buy!********Review fromDale S

1 starCutting my grass 08/28/2023 with my 4 year old Toro 22in Recycler Mower when the grass bag came off like a rocket and ripped a deep gash in my r leg and tore off a patch of skin. Required 6 stitches and about 6 weeks to heal. Made a claim to Toro next day and their rep led me to believe Toro would accept liability by: 1) asking several times what it would take to settle. 2) telling me to send out of pocket receipts. 3) telling me we (Toro) have "people" to work with ******** and reimburse medical costs. 4) requested I quit using the unit. 5) said after final settlement Toro would take the mower and give me a new one. I felt all was going well and rep said would call me week of Oct 23rd, no call so I sent an e-mail Oct 31st. Rep called me and followed with an e-mail saying claim is denied as they did not yield any evidence of a defect with the mower. ***** was never inspected by a Toro rep or dealer.
