I wrote a bad review a few days ago. Since then, the company has made things right at no additional cost to us. I would use them again

I hired these folks to remove snow and ice from my roof. They told me it would be $400 for the snow, and a minimum of two hours at $300 an hour to remove the ice. The work order said that if the ice removal was to take more than two hours, I, as homeowner, was to be consulted. The two workers came and worked I don't know how long (which is on me), but I don't believe it was two hours. They came to the door and told me they were finished and I paid them the balance I owed (without checking to see if the job was indeed finished - again, that's on me). The next day, when I went out, I saw the worst of the ice had not been removed. I called, they said the mistake was likely a communication mistake on their part, and that they would make it right in the next few days. The next few days passed, nothing happened, I called, and was told I would be charged another hour to finish the job. Had they exceeded two hours initially, I would have paid it. But this strikes me as opportunistic to the point of predatory. They had me over a barrel, and were trying to squeeze out every nickle possible from me. Is this how business is done nowadays? I didn't pay for the extra hour, and will try to get the job done some other way.
