Terrible customer see unprofessional the receptionist hung up on me for trying to reschedule an appointment, made me pay for an application just to cancel

Poor to nonexistent maintenance, security, cleaning, of properties. Poor to non existent customer service skills or respect by ********************** staff. Illegal, unannounced, without 24 hour notice I to tenant apartments. Life and Safety maintenance and building issues not repaired. High crime of homeless people and drug dealers entering the building. High number of 911 calls to property. Entry door locks frequently broken or jammed. Lack of security lights and cameras. Property owners, managers, maintenance do not respond to calls for broken glass, light fixtures, garbage in halls which attracts roaches, flies, bugs, rodents to building. The only good thing I can say is that Mint Properties is selling off their buildings and going out of business and it is so nice walking the neighborhoods and seeing their name signs being taken off buildings that have been sold to new owners. Another nice thing is after having to fight with Mint Properties for 6 months to get repairs made to my bathroom and apartment that were ordered by the City of Minneapolis Housing Inspectors, taking them to Hennepin County Housing Court and filing to have my rent withheld and for rent abatement and illegal entry I received a settlement from Mint Properties for $3400 and the also received City inspector fines of $1750 for not getting repairs done as ordered. So it pays to call the City Housing Inspectors ar 311 phone and taking to Housing Court also. I have lived here 1 year and have recently called the Housing Inspector again for violations and am taking photos and emailing and texting all violations or issues I see to Mint to create a documentation log and continue to look for better housing and land lords.

Very bad reputation amongst people, former and current renters and such. I was quite blessed to find this out before I signed a lease. Best avoided. Nothing but money-hungry, lower quality landlord.

I have lived behind four of Mint Properties buildings for over 15 years and it has been H*** My compliant is the trash and the quality of people they let move into the buildings, especially in ********* (next to 372 on the other side of Roblyn) in the green and white building. I have been robbed, they dump their trash from their car on the street, I have watched domestic violence, I have been harassed, I have heard a lot of verbal abuse and felt unsafe. I do call the police but by the time they show up she is gone. Currently they have a woman living in that building on the top north side. She has no inside voice. She yells all the time, things like NIGAR, B**** and much more. She yells at her kids. I feel unsafe and no one at Mint Properties cares.The trash that flies around the neighbored from their trash cans is crazy. They keep the lids closed. The squirrels have an open buffet and take garbage all over the neighborhood. The trash is overflowing (beds, bags, dressers, and much more.) I feel like I live in a land fill. The wind blows their trash all over the neighborhood. They do not care what happens to the trash or who they let move in. I have complained to Mint Property several times. It starts with some new girl who is young and has high hopes and that is the end. I am so done. This is going all the way up. I will not stop until the problem is fixed. When I called some lady said, "we are aware and are trying to fix it", it has been 15 years, and nothing has changed. That is an embarrassing statement. I will not rest until this is fixed.

SLUMLORDS ********************************* I lived here for almost 6 years and I liked it for the most part except for a few things;Avoid this company at all costs! Two days upon moving into this unit I was notified by management that the unit was infested with cockroaches. I was given the option to have my deposit refunded and look elsewhere. Two days prior to moving out of a different property of theirs. I had no other choice but to move with that short of a notice. I lived out of boxes for month due to the chemicals being used to treat the infestation. I did not eat there with the thought in my head of cockroaches crawling on my dishes and leaving p*** everywhere. It took a month until the problem was under control. During that month they never offered to prorate my rent. **** (the manager) knew he was in the wrong Packages in the lobby were stolen on a regular basis with nothing being done other then the leasing office taping notices on the door. They do not care one bit. I had to start using the Amazon locker service and having other packages held at either ********** and FedEx.The two washers & two dryers were out of order pretty frequently. It makes sense since they are not commercial machines that can actually withstand being used all the time.What I miss are my neighbors who I got to know over the 6 years, some of them being there before me and during.
