I wish I could provide a "NO STAR" review but since I can't, I will give just one. I have been trying to reach Amanda ********** for a week. She is one of the property managers for the Denver CO area. I left 3 messages and was told each time that she would get right back to me. I have a few simple questions I would like to ask of her but obviously customer service is not her strong suit. In fact, when it comes to customer service, RowCal seems to be the worst in the HOA Management field that I have ever come across. I have been a realtor for 21 years and they are simply the worst for trying to obtain any information from. If I provided the same lack of customer service that this company and this community manager provides, I would no longer be in business.

If I could provide negative five stars to rate the services of RowCall - I would! It has been an absolute nightmare to deal with property manager Rachel ******** in MN. She sends out harassing letters and fake violations to homeowners like myself! She assesses violations without providing proper evidence. She never returns phone calls. The latest violation was regarding a pet on my property which again is a form of harassment, because she knows i don't own any pets. I tried responding to her emails but there were all returned as undeliverable b/c she sends them not from her working email, but via messaging system “notifications at rowcall com”. There is no way of getting ahold of management if you need to straighten out an issue. Each violation is a hundred dollars! Not a bad business revenue right? If your board members are just a bunch of lunatics who try to hire RowCall- sell your property and move out! They will turn your life into a living hell!

      Hi ****,

The Community Manager was able to provide photographic proof to you that your tenant's dog was in fact unleashed on your property. After review, it was agreed that this review would be deleted as it is not factual. While we understand the frustration of your tenant creating the violation, it was in fact a valid. We would greatly appreciate it if you could update the review to reflect these facts or delete it as discussed a couple of weeks ago. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to us at *************************************************************.

Rowcal took over for PioneerBeck in Oct 2024. Transition was not ideal due to Property Mgr, Vangie *********. Even meetings with supervisor & higher up from RowCall was a sham. No checks & balances, Vangie makes unilateral decisions, is rude to Owners & Vendors, doesn't share important info w/ Community, Even the current Board has sought help from upper Mgt, & yet her supervisors do nothing. It's very disappointing and I fear for our community. RowCal will be the demise of Valley View Village Condominiums.

Were truly sorry to hear youre feeling frustrated about your experience during your community's transition. At RowCal, we are committed to supporting communities through these changes as smoothly as possible, and we understand how important clear communication and responsiveness are.

Wed like to clarify that all decisions regarding the community are made by the elected ********* of Directors. While your Community Manager, works to carry out the directives of the Board, she cannot make unilateral decisions regarding operations, finances, or community policies. Her role is to simply support the Boards decisions that they make and help ensure they are implemented effectively.

Additionally, the Association holds regular monthly Board meetings, which are open to all homeowners. These meetings provide an opportunity for owners to stay informed, ask questions, and express concerns directly to the Board and management. We encourage you, and all homeowners, to attend and engage in these discussions. Your voice is valuable in shaping the future of ********************

We just transitioned to RowCal from Pioneer Beck, so not much to say as of yet. This review is about Vangie Bocanegra, property Mgr. She was provided feedback on some erroneous actions and has now become a bully toward a Board Member. She does what she wants instead of listening to the Board. Supervisor simply backs her up. We have a great Board who is now buried under 15 to 20 emails per day.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Transition periods can sometimes bring challenges, and we appreciate your perspective. We understand the importance of fostering a collaborative relationship between property management and the Board, and we take concerns about communication and actions seriously.

While specifics may not be clear, we encourage addressing these matters through constructive dialogue with the appropriate parties. This ensures that all voices are heard, and any misunderstandings or issues can be resolved effectively. We are committed to supporting a positive and professional environment for everyone involved.

I am a previous tenant of Rowcal of Colorado Springs specifically the firefly condominiums. Personally, my impression of them is 1) all they care about is making money 2) you cannot rely on or get any help from them at all and 3) they do not know how to do their jobs properly. We had numerous issues of homeless people loitering, trashing, doing illegal drugs, having sex in the common area hallways of the building. Not to mention fear for our safety because they would threaten to kill us and our dog and show up with weapons. Rowcals response was to tell us they could not do anything, to call 911 and that we had permission to tell them to leave. Well thanks to their lack of action and care on top of lack of doing their jobs and taking care of the homeless people and securing the building my service dog is no longer alive. We no longer live there because I could no longer handle walking into that building or seeing the apartment. Haven’t lived there since August but yet we got billed for utility bills for August to October when we were only legally responsible for August. We paid it all because Rowcal refuses to respond and get back to us and we most likely won’t see that money back. I cannot speak for those that own townhomes or apartments under Rowcal but I can say if you rent from Rowcal they do not care about you and I would not trust them especially when it comes to you and your family’s safety and lives.

We're so sorry to hear your frustration, ********. Illegal activities are a matter for the police and cannot be the responsibility of community association managers. Dangerous and unsafe activities need to be addressed by the local authorities who legally can detain and remove people who are trespassing.

My sister lives in Illinois at a property managed by RowCal. I was so surprised when hen we were walking around and the Manager (Diane) saw her and remembered her name! My sister says she is always so helpful and kind. That’s rare these days! I am glad to know she bought a townhome at a good place with caring people.

If I could leave a 1 star review - I would. RowCal failed to provide me proof that their maintenance technicians were covered by an active workers compensation policy. Their maintenance technicians are not licenses and insured contractors, so there's no guarantee or warranty for the work done by RowCal handymen. I have over 12 instances during a 4 year period where these maintenance technician billed me for damage caused by tenants. There are multiple work orders where a damaged or broken garbage disposal was repaired or replaced, the handyman stated in the report that debris was removed when replacing the broken component, and property owner was still billed. Management rarely - if ever - billed a tenant or deducted a security deposit. RowCal and agents never posted required notices from LAHD, FHA, and other required notices. A tenant notified me of potential noncompliance, I reached out directly to RowCal ownership and management and was ignored. These people are violating one or more laws and leaving me as a property owner exposed to huge liability. Furthermore, RowCal ownership and management neglected to perform duties in issuing late charges and collecting rent. RowCal / Metropolitan PRoperty Services allowed a tenant to accrue over $16,000 worth of debt at the beginning of 2024. A tenant did not pay rent for 6 months in a row at the beginning of 2024 - the management company never once notified me. The designated property manager allowed the physical condition of the property to go into disarray, likely because the person was not visiting the property. I'm not sure that person ever once visited my property. After many months of not having been to the property, I discovered broken window screens, dead appliances, two abandoned cars - even human feces on one of the exterior walls. Something must be done to hold this company. The owners must be held accountable for their gross negligence and exposing their clients and customers to massive liability.

We're sorry to hear your frustration and would like to clarify that we have been in regular communication with you regarding ongoing issues. Unfortunately, the signage that was properly placed was removed by someone. While we understand your concerns, several of the claims made are inaccurate. Were committed to addressing any issues and maintaining communication moving forward.

This is by far the worst management company that I have worked with. They do not follow through on their own contract. They lack skills and knowledge of how to do their jobs. Finding vendors to get bids, FORGET IT! It has been 2.5 months since the handyman around the complex has been paid. They do not respond to emails in a timely fashion or at all. I am disgusted with this company. I wish I could give zero stars.

We're so sorry to hear your frustration, Allison. We understand your concerns and would like to clarify the situation. The Board only approved invoices this past week due to the recent election and the previous Board President's decision to hold off until the new leadership was in place.

This was not within our control. As an agent of the HOA Board, we are not responsible for making those decisions and can only act under their discretion. We also want to assure you that your emails have not gone unanswered, though we acknowledge that the responses may not have been what you hoped for on the timeline of payment.

We have Ro-Cal as our property Management company just over a year or so. So far I have not been impressed at all. I had a leak in my roof I had to call and deal with the roofer myself even though they have the warranty. They just assessed us $2,000 for cement work the board approved yet I put a ticket in in May for a bag of rocks to fill in where the plastic was showing. First it was they needed board approval then it was they were getting bids, its now October I still have not gotten the rocks so in front of my place looks shabby. No responses when I asked again what was going on.

We're sorry to hear your frustration, Connor and would like to add clarity. As you mentioned, the roof repair was done several years ago and is under warranty through the vendor that completed the repair. As a result, the HOA needed to work with that specific vendor again in order to not void the warranty or incur more costs. When a contractor needs to enter a residents home, it's necessary to coordinate with the homeowner directly in order to gain entry, which is what you experienced.

The HOA board has reviewed the need to add rocks to low areas in landscape beds, but unfortunately, they've had to postpone this work for more pressing projects. Due to limited funds, they are looking into group pricing to complete rock top dressing, with goals for completing that work in 2025. We understand wanting to have it completed as quickly as possible, but doing so would have the association incurring several different trip charges and increased costs as opposed to retrieving bids to top dress all of the low areas of rock at once.

We will continue to work with the elected board of directors to keep projects moving along but funding can always create barriers and delays to the timeline for completion. It's important to remember that RowCal is simply an agent of the HOA, and can only act upon the decisions made by the elected board of directors.
