- Government Actions:Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:Minnesota Attorney General Settlement
On March 14, 2025, this business entered into an Assurance of Discontinuance with the Minnesota Attorney General. The Assurance settles allegations that the business sued patients who may have qualified for charity care to collect medical debt; created barriers to patients to access charity care as agreed to by the business in previous Minnesota Attorney General settlements; and engaged in aggressive debt collection practices.
Under terms of the Assurance, the business agreed to provide charity care to presumptively eligible patients; streamline their charity care application process; and to be prohibited from suing to collect medical debt in other than extraordinary circumstances. The Assurance was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the below link.
