I called the **** company to come out to get my air conditioning going. He right away said I needed a new furnace. I told him I just want to get my air condition going. He told me it is probably the coil inside the furnace and that I did not have the right furnace. So, I thought if he said I need a new furnace to get my air conditioning going because of the coil inside the furnace that I better do that. So, he said the furnace was going to cost ******* dollars. I told him I will have to put ******* dollars on my credit card and pay the rest when the job is done. This was Friday 3-8-24. When he was leaving, he said you did not pay for my time and so I went in the house and gave him ****** dollars and he left, and the job was going to start that following Monday. After he left, I discussed it with my wife, and she said that the heat furnace has been good for all the time that we lived here and all winter. That next day Saturday I put on a new thermostat and the air condition started working. So, I called him up to cancel the furnace installation and told him what I did to get the air condition working and that is all I wanted. He still insisted I need a furnace. I told him no I just want a refund. Then he tells me it is going to cost me ****** dollars for pickup of the furnace which he never had to deliver because I cancelled it before Monday. He refunded me ******* dollars and kept ****** dollars for doing nothing. He did not troubleshoot the cause of the air condition not working and tried to sell me a furnace that I did not need. So, he got ****** dollars for doing nothing and then ****** dollars for doing nothing. That is some real customer **********************. I am a Veteran on a fixed income and can't spend that kind of money if I don't need to. All I am asking for is ****** dollars.

He said he wanted us to do the job then changed his mind. I told him there would be a fee because of the fee to pick up and return the piece. He called the credit card company and had them call in an attempt to get his money back. I told the ** I would give him a discount but that my people had to be paid for the trouble. He is paying for the time for the workers. I returned 3600. I returned another 200. I paid him back 3800 total. I paid cc processing fees.

I am rejecting this response because:I should get the whole amount back because I cancelled a day before the job started and that was monday. So that means he would have had to pick it up saturday or sunday and pay overtime and I doubt he did that. I don't even know that he picked it up. Why would you not pick it up monday before the job started. I have no proof that he picked it up and that is no reason to charge me anyway. *********************

I am rejecting this response because: How could he pick it up on friday when he was with me and there is no proof of that. He was paid ****** dollars for coming to my house on friday and that was never discussed. I should not have to pay for a furnace that was never delivered to my place. If it was delivered to my house that would be a different story.
