    Better Business Bureau is advising consumers to use caution when considering doing business with Renovate Rite.  BBB has received a pattern of consumer complaints alleging failure to start or finish a project, failure to contact consumers, failure to provide refunds and poor customer service.  

    On April 14, 2022, BBB sent a letter to Renovate Rite with its concerns.  The company did not respond.

      We entered into services with Renovate Rite to replace windows in our house along with Enclosing Soffits. After paying initial and second payment following second measurements, Renovate Rite and ************************* have been unresponsive. We have tried multiple times to reach him without response and no further action on his part to complete services for which payment had been submitted. After beginning to have no responses, we reviewed BBB and reviews and noted that many other customers were reporting similar complaints from this company. At time of researching company, these complaints were not posted and reviews were positive; however, it appears following our contract increased complaints have been reported.

      We signed a contract for them to build a deck and fix our front porch and gave them $3200 down. They have also failed to send us a copy of the contract. They advised they would start the project in July, but have never done any work and stopped all responses to us. Their office phone is no longer in service and they don't actually have their office anymore because the owner of the property has put them out for failure to make their payments. The only phone number we have is their sales rep who never answers his phone and his voicemail is always full, so it is impossible to leave a message. He has not responded to our text messages since early August. We just want our $3200 back.

      I am filing a complaint against Renovate Rite because when we signed a contract with them on March 31, 2022 and gave them a deposit of $2,000.00 for them to screen in our deck, drop our hot tub on our deck, install two doors and stair railing we were told the job would be done in July.. On June 15, 2022 we gave them a second check for $10,625.00 for the one third of the amount for the job. It is now August. They are very unreliable about returning text and phone calls if at all. If they would've communicated with me I wouldn't be filing this complaint. They just applied for the permit for the job last week! Knowing since March that they were hired to do it! I find that very irresponsible! I have two different phone numbers for them, ************ and ************. I appreciate your help in this matter.Sincerely,********* (Hope) ******

      I hired renovate right company to do facial work around my house,they gave me an estimate of ******* then came back and said they couldnt do it for this price and my insurance company would only give them ******* more which made the total to be ******* ******* the owner told me I had to pay a down payment of ****** Which I paid in April 2021,I hadnt heard from Renovate Rite nor ************************* who is the owner and who I gave my check of ****** to,I texted him in February of ******************************************* which he did three months later saying he was going to get the job done as soon as possible , I hadnt heard from him so I texted another letter to him saying I wanted my deposit back which I texted him August 2022,I have called and left messages,and message him on my email and still havent heard from him I told him I will be talking to a lawyer to get my money back if he didnt reply by August 5,2022,I havent heard from him.the last address of his company was ********************************* telephone number was ************..I just want to get my down payment back so I can try to find someone else to do the work. I am a Senior on a fixed income and have breathing issues so I hate that they are taking people money and not doing the job. I hope someone can help me.

      Back in February of 2021, my wife and I hired Renovate Rite to frame and build a four season room onto the second story of our house. We put down just over $9,000 to begin the project. Over time, *************************, the owner of the company, and his project manager *********************** gave us multiple excuses as to why the project was delayed. As of April 2022, with no structure even started, and with very poor communication on the part of Renovate Rite, my wife and I requested that our full deposit be returned and we sever ties with Renovate Rite. As of July 19 2022, they have refused to return our money and have failed to respond to us.

      On Nov. 4, 2021 we signed a contract with Renovate-Rite to install a Pro Via Superview storm door for $1,088.00.Door to be installed late December, probably before Christmas. They required 50% down. We used our **** credit card and Renovate Rite received $544.00 via our **** Card. The contract was signed by *************************.We have been unsuccessful in our attempt to communicate with *************************, either by telephone or email.******* did return one phone call, and we missed the call and he left no message. They sent a man out to measure the door space on Jan. 18, 2022.We received reply to email from ************************* on April 18. He apologized for delay and assured us the door will be installed. No further communication from ***** or his company

      We signed a contract with them to have a deck repaired on 3/29/21. The contract states the work would total $6070 and require a deposit of $3035. We sent them the deposit and it was cashed on 4/1/21. They only took measurements and never started any work. Over the course of 2021 we asked for updates and occasionally would hear back (most calls/texts went unanswered), saying they were delayed due to covid infection or deaths in the family from covid. In 12/2021 *******, the owner, came to the house to perform repeat measurements (for unclear reasons). He said the work would start in January, however this was not the case. 12/23/21 was the last time we heard from them. Since then we have been calling the office and calling/texting the owner but haven't received any responses.

      Renovate Rite removed my old wooden deck and replaced with a composite deck in June 2021. The owner/sales director, *************************, requested final payment on June 25, 2021. I told him I was reluctant to pay as there were still repairs to complete, namely, new railing (original damaged before being installed) and **channel (siding repair). ******* assured me repairs would be completed. After a few weeks I stopped receiving communications from *******. I was instructed to communicate with ***********************, Operations Manager. After many text messages, I finally received a text from ***** on March 18, ******************************************************************************* touch soon. I have not heard from him since that date.My main concern at this point is to repair the **channel.

      In May of 2021 we signed a contract & paid 50% down payment ($12,165.00) to *************************, Owner, Renovate Rite. The contract stated that they would remove existing pergola, replace existing roof on home and build a roof over the patio. Start date was to begin Oct 2021. The production manager came to take measurements. After that we rec'd no contact from the company. Any contact was initiated by us. Project pushed to Nov 2021 w/excuse of waiting on architectural drawings, permits and materials. We made multiple calls for updates and excuses were always the same, if we were able to reach anyone. Spoke with production manager on 2/15/2022 w/his promise to check on progress & call us back within the week. No call came from him. Called Owner multiple times, his voicemail was always full, he did not answer. Made multiple calls to the office where there was no answer & no voicemail to leave a message. Emails and texts to the company, prod *************** requesting a refund were also ignored. Drove to both company addresses and found no one there. We would like our money back.

      In October of 2021, I entered into a contract with Renovate Rite for 4 doors. On that date, I paid $**** which was immediately cashed. The company informed me that due to construction delays, it may be a while before the doors would be installed. In February 2022, I had still heard nothing and called multiple times always being told that "someone would get back to me." No one did. I went to their place of business but it was supposedly by appt only except no one answered the phone. Someone finally came to "measure something, but he didn't know what" and I had to tell him it was for doors. I contacted them through ******** messenger because there was no longer a website to communicate on and they weren't responding to phone calls or emails. ***** responded on Messenger that "they would be discussing me on Sat and would get back to me. No one ever did. I have called continuously to no avail. It has been 7 months and no communication, no response, no updates....nothing yet they have #**** of mine.
