I had Sierra Mechanical out to my house on 8/2/2022 because our air conditioner was not working right. The technician came out and in his assessment said the problem was because our unit outside was dirty and the inside unit had a booklet blocking the airflow. He charged me $160 for the service. It was very clear even later that day that what he did had no impact on our air conditioner functioning properly, In fact, it started functioning worse. I called another company, ***********, to come out on 8/15 and take a look and they found a list of problems (See the attached Summary of Findings) still wrong with the air conditioner, including that the outdoor unit was still dirty. Please see the before and after pictures provided by that company in the *********** Summary PDF to show the dirty unit versus after it had been cleaned properly. Essentially, Sierra Mechanical stole my $160 since they charged me for services that were not performed. They did not clean the unit nor provide a proper diagnostic. I was never sent a receipt by Sierra Mechanical, but the charge is definitely on my credit card. While *********** was diagnosing the problems with my air conditioner, they noticed the flue pipe that had been installed with my furnace on January 25, 2021 by Sierra Mechanical was too short. This is very dangerous and could result in carbon monoxide leaking into our home. It cost me $500 to have this replaced by *********** as I had no choice but to fix it on the spot once the issue was identified. Sierra Mechanical should be held responsible for the improper and dangerous installation of this pipe. It's terrifying and unacceptable that this was left like it. I've attached the receipt from that January 2021 installation as proof that Sierra Mechanical were the ones that installed that pipe, but I would like to be reimbursed that $500 for putting my family in danger the past year and a half.
