I purchased insulation through an insulation company using FTL finance. Ive made payments. I sent a check on May 19th 2025 that was dated May 18th. Well I call on June 5th wondering why it hasn't been posted. I asked them are they gonna back date because I was told by an associate that the account accurs interest everyday. Well I got no straight answer so im assuming no. They told me it takes them 2 to 3 weeks to process the payments. Its not my fault they take so long to process a payment and I shouldn't have to pay the interest for the days the check has been sitting there. I sent other checks the same day that are in the same city and those companies processed them last week. This is totally ridiculous. We are at 2 and half weeks.Business Response

According to our records, as of today, June 6, 2025, we have not yet received your check dated May 18 and mailed on May 19. Please note that we have no control over delays that may occur with the postal service. While other checks may have arrived sooner at different destinations, delivery timelines can vary based on postal routing and handling.
To help avoid these kinds of situations, we do offer other payment options at no additional charge, including payments over the phone using a debit card, credit card, or checking account. These options typically post to your account within 24 to 48 business hours.
Our payment address is a secure lockbox facility, and payments are processed as soon as they are received. No checks are held or delayed once they arrive. If the funds have not been withdrawn from your bank account, this is a strong indication that we have not received the check.
You are correct that interest accrues daily on your account, which is a standard practice across most financing agreements. To help with this, when customers indicate theyre sending a final check, we provide a 10-day payoff window that takes expected mail time and processing into account. The payoff we provided on our customer portal is good until 06/06/2025.
If you're concerned the check may be lost or delayed further, we recommend contacting your bank to place a stop payment on it. Once thats done, wed be happy to assist you in making your payment another way thats quicker and more secure. As a courtesy, we will honor your payoff balance good through 06/06/2025. Please call our office to make this final payment over the phone. Again, there is no extra charge.

I purchased an AC unit 8-1-23 for $8500 using FTL finance to pay for it. I was lead ti believe it was a simple interest purchase not a lease that charges other fees. I am a disabled senior on a fixed income who is trying to pay it off now. After paying $4000 into the acct I was told $8300 is the payoff? I trusted what I was told and never even signed their contract! Its a system generated signature. I need help negotiating a better payoff, it hasnt even been 2 yrs and they want to charge $4000 in interest, this is abusing disabled seniors with usury charges. An application for financing was received on July 31, 2023, for the installation of a 2.5-ton 15.2 SEER2 (Gas - Horizontal) High Efficiency W/ 2 Stage ECM Furnace for $8,500.00. Financing was provided through FTL Finance, and the loan agreement was executed on August 2, 2023. Based on your credit profile, you did not qualify for standard financing terms and were instead approved through an alternative financing program that included a higher interest rate. As part of that approval, you selected a 120-month term with an interest rate of *****%. The agreement was electronically signed, which is fully valid under federal and state e-signature laws.
Regarding the type of financing, this information is clearly outlined in your contract. As stated on the first page, your agreement is a Direct Finance Lease. The total amount of repayment, including Finance charges, is disclosed on the Truth in Lending page of your contract. This type of financing follows a fixed amortization schedule established at the start of the loan, and it is interest front-loaded, meaning a larger portion of interest is paid during the early months of the term.
This financing does not involve any usury charges. The interest rate is within legal lending limits and was fully disclosed and agreed upon by the customer at the time of contract execution. No future or additional interest is being charged beyond the original agreement.

I took out a *** loan in January 2021, to pay for a new home HVAC system. After 4 years of perfect monthly payments, I then paid off the remaining balance in early 2025. As I stated, during the 4 years I had this loan, I had a perfect payment history, which was reflected in my Transunion and ******* credit reports. I noticed that after paying off the loan in full, it was still showing outstanding on my ******* report as they had not updated reporting to ******* since October 2024. So I filed a minor dispute just to update the account to "paid and closed". When the dispute was completed, it came back saying I was 30 days late THREE times! ***** in 2023, and once in May 2024. This caused my Equifax FICO 8 score to drop 50 points. I was NEVER late, not once. And this was reflected in the perfect payment history I had up to this point.I'm not sure what is going on here. I filed another dispute with ******* regarding these 30-day lates. I also wanted to come here to express my frustration that this situation arose through no fault of my own. I financed an A/C unit from FTL in June of this year (2024) and began making payments. I've made double payments thus far ($600) and my balance has only come down $187. FTL finance has reported to the credit bureau that I was more than 30 days late making a payment. This is completely wrong. I have never missed a payment and all of them have been payed on time. Our records show that on December 18th, 2023, we received a financing application initiated by your Contractor, FALL CREEK PLUMBING, and sent directly to *******************************,which you have identified as your wife, at her request. The application,totaling $15,000.00, was submitted for the replacement of a collapsed sewer line. Confirmation from your contractor verifies that the work was successfully completed at ******************************************************************
Before approving the loan, we conducted identity verification through Trustev,employing credit-based security questions alongside personal information such as address, phone number, and email. Upon successful completion, we send notification of loan approval to the email address and the phone number used during the application process. Funds were disbursed to your contractor on 12/29/2023, following confirmation of work completion via the completion certificate.
Your email dated January 30th, 2024, requesting account closure outlined the responsibility of your utility company for the sewer line issue and their commitment to cover the related costs. In response, we contacted your contractor FALL CREEK PLUMBING, who recommended for us to advise you on pursuing resolution through your utility and insurance providers. This course of action would facilitate reimbursement, allowing repayment to FTL Finance.Given the urgency of the situation and the necessity of the work at your home,financing through FTL Finance was provided by your contractor as an expedient option.
Initial payment of $2,500.00, received on 02/09/2024 (check #****), was acknowledged upon your inquiry via email on 2/12/2024. Until then, there had been no indication of loan inaccuracy.
Regarding the loan signature issue, our records indicate successful and accurate completion of loan documents, notwithstanding an edit made to the Borrowers name field,where your wifes name, *******************************, was entered. So if the contract says ******************************* on it, and has ******************************* signature on it, why do you think this is permissible in court? You obtained my social security number online, you ran the application with my social but ******************************* information on it. You all dont know when to stop do you? Instead of fighting with fall creek to get the money back from them, you proceed to provide more fuel for a court case. This is clearly fraud on FTL end. A police report is being filed next. On 11/17/22 I signed contract (number *******) to purchase a furnace from FTL for one of my rental properties in VA for 5,625.00 with no interest if paid off within 12 months. Please note that on the contract it has "12 MONTHS SAME AS CASH. MUST SELECT 60 MONTH TERM OR GREATER," I called them before I signed and was told to check the box "REGULAR FINANCING." I was also told by A-1 American Service in Virginia who referred me to FTL and who installed the furnace, that there's no interest if paid off in 12 months. I paid off the agreed price of 5,635.00 within 12 months and now they FTL charged me interest of 966.10 which I paid today ( l didn't want them to mess up my credit). I had an HVAC/Furnace replaced on 3/4/23. I applied for a loan of $5700.00 and was accepted by FTL Finance. I asked my contractor, who installed the units, to check with the finance company for any fees if I paid off the loan early. They said no. I called FTL today 6/22/21 to pay off my loan. The customer service person was pleasant and asked me for my account info. He said the balance owed was $1,260.83. I asked why the charge of $99? He explained that there was a processing fee of $99. BEWARE OF THE HIDDEN PROCESSING FEE OF $99. The contractor was made aware of this and may look elsewhere for a new finance company to use for their customers. I see the reflected payoff balance but I was never told of any administrative fees from my contractor. It is not listed in my contract anywhere as well. What is the process to get this removed? No where in the contract does this state anything about a $99 fee specifically.Business Response

In April of 2020 I took a loan with ftl. I was in the process of getting a ***** loan because i knew my unit was old. It died before my ***** paper work was finished.. I asked the tech and ftl can I pay it off in full as soon as I get the home loan. Both said yes. I get the financing through ftl and a week later my ***** is done. I have the bank ORNL write the check directly to ftl for the full amount. I mailed full amount with their bill and I never got another piece of mail, call, email from them. Never thought about it again. Almost three years later I get a bill that I owe them over $300. Then I get an email. I explained to ***** that I paid my full account balance years ago and I have never received another bill. She said it's Interest . I told her I paid it in full and there was a mistake. And if that I there was any remaining balance why wasn't I notified. Why would they not send me even one bill in almost 3 years??? Since it has been nothing but calls to me. To my family, threatening to reposses my equipment that I paid in full for. It has been unreal.Business Response
