    I took out a $600 loan with cash advance now. I have already paid back $300 and they want me to pay over $2,800 for it to be settled in full. That is illegal. The loan has a 700% interest rate which violates ******** usury laws. They have already had a lawsuit against them and lost due to their illegal predatory loan practices. They are not owned/operated by a tribe and do not operate on tribal land which makes every loan they give out illegal and unenforceable and any contract with them null and void. I will be in contact with my states attorney general to further this matter if it is not resolved.

We also allow our customers to cancel their payment obligations under their Loan Agreement (at no cost), no later than 3:00 p.m. Mountain time of the next business day immediately following the Disbursement Date.

    Lastly, the complainants assertions regarding litigation involving Cash Advance Now are inaccurate, misleading, and irrelevant to this matter.

    We certainly understand that everyone faces financial difficulties from time-to-time, but the loan agreement signed by **** ******* is legally binding. Thus, we have every right to expect payment as scheduled in the agreement. To date, **** ******* has only made a partial repayment towards the total outstanding loan balance.

    I submitted my personal and banking information on what I believed was a loan pre-qualification form through Cash Advance Now. I was not shown any final loan agreement or terms, nor did I knowingly agree to receive funds. Despite this, $700 was deposited into my bank account without clear consent or a signed agreement.I later discovered that the loan carries a ******% APR, with repayment totaling over $3,500. I never knowingly accepted those terms. The company claims I agreed electronically, but I did not see or approve a final agreement. The initial email with those terms went to my spam folder and was not reviewed until after the deposit was made.I have already filed complaints with the ************************************, the ************************, and the Georgia Attorney General. I have not used the funds and am requesting resolution.

    I took out a $800 loan on 2/26/24. I have made 1 payment so far of $155.48 on 3/7/25. I contacted them through chat on 3/17/25 and told them I was having surgery on 3/26/25 unexpectedly and would be off work for 6-8 weeks and on short term disability, only receiving 60% of my pay. I asked for reduced payment options or a settlement option as I'm trying to get my bills in order before I am off work for a couple of months. The representative only offered me a **** payment one time only and one other option that I can't remember what it was now. I told the representative that didn't work for me and that I needed a settlement or a reduced payment that was for my entire loan. I was told that could only be done when the account was in collections. I asked for my ACH payment to be revoked since they were unwilling to help me. I shouldn't have to have missed payments or returned payments to get the help that I am asking for. I am asking for someone to help me as I would like to get this paid off as soon as possible. I just can't afford the current payoff amount.

    Hello, I took out a loan with Cash Advance Now and I am highly disappointed. The company is very predatory when it comes to the interest rates of their loans. The loan I took out had well over a 600% APR. The original loan was $900 and now I owe way over this. This should be illegal. I was young and the company took advantage of the fact that I needed to pay bills. This is a tribal loan, and they have no validity in court. I have done my research and know that Cash Advance Now is a scam.

    I had applied on a site for a ***** dollar loan and now since then have been flooded with application acceptances for small loans I didn't apply for. I ignored them. Then one day I got 700 dollars deposited into my account from **************************, immediately confused me cause I applied for no such loan. I find their number and call and they tell me where to pay. I've had loans before and they said it was weekly payments of 95 dollars. So I figured I pay back until my debt was paid. 8 weeks go by, they're still trying to take money out my account. I finally access their app (first time ever mind you, outside of looking for a phone number), it has me paying 95 dollars every week until September! I never was made aware nor did I agree to any of this. I figured I'd just pay back the 700 + maybe 100 or so in interest, not thousands of dollars. I called them again and they're aren't willing to cooperate. I've paid more then my 700 back I owed them, please help. I'm not a small business, I'm a hard working father. They're claiming I e-signed but never have I ever.

    This company is misleading, untruthful and practices the most predatory practices imaginable. I an quoting directly from their own response, "Cash Advance Now discloses total cost to a borrower if only the minimum payment schedule is followed and we inform our customers that this is an expensive form of borrowing." They do not give you any of this information and most definitely do not tell you any of these stated things. I only found out that i would be expected to make NINE payments of ****** when i asked and right before the person i was speaking to hung up on me! If i had been given any of these details, had been able to review any loan documents ( which did not upload until days later,) i would never have used this company and definitely would not have even approached the issue of a loan. What they state is happening is not occurring! They want to appear to be open and honest in their dealings and that is not the case at all!

    I applied for a loan from cash advance now for $700. But after I read the fine print and saw I was being charged 676% interest I decide not to take the loan. But they still put the money in my account and when I tried to return the money they wouldn't accept it back. And I have no routing number to try and have my bank return it. So now I feel anxiety about having to pay back over $3100 in payments. I can't afford that. How is this even legal on any level. This is criminal.

    I initially took out a short-term loan with Cash Advance Now in August 2023. I have taken out a total of three loans with this company. In total, I have received $2,750 from this company. My partner unexpectedly lost his job and I cannot keep affording to pay this ridiculous rate. I have already paid a total of $4,122.13 back, which covers all of these loans plus $1,372.13 in interest. This is absurd! There is no way to escape this, which is just what companies like this want. The APR is well above the maximum allowed in the state of ******** and they are not a licensed lender. I have paid off this loan plus interest and I am requesting that my account be considered paid and closed so that I can focus on surviving my partner's unemployment. Please beware of this predatory lender!!!

    Second, we respectfully note that Colorado law does not apply to Bright Lending.  Bright Lending is a wholly owned and operated entity of the ******************* **************** (Tribe) on the ******************* Reservation of ********  Bright Lending was established for the Tribes economic benefit and is organized and licensed under and operates pursuant to Tribal law.  Both our website and our consumer loan agreement explicitly describe the sovereign status of Bright Lending and clearly require the application of Tribal law to any business dealings with Bright Lending.

    We would also like to address the complainants assertion that this transaction was predatory, which is unfounded.  Cash Advance Now informs our customers that this is an expensive form of borrowing, and we even encourage our customers to prepay (with no penalty) to reduce the overall cost of borrowing.  We go further and inform our customers that our product is not meant as a long-term financial solution.  We also allow our customers to cancel their payment obligations under their Loan Agreement (at no cost), no later than 3:00 p.m. Mountain time of the next business day immediately following the Disbursement Date. 

    We certainly understand that everyone faces financial difficulties from time-to-time, but the loan agreement signed by ******* **** is legally binding.  Thus, we have every right to expect payment as scheduled in the agreement.  To date, ******* **** has only made a partial repayment towards the total outstanding loan balance.  

    We will communicate with ******* **** directly in an effort to resolve their concerns.  Correspondingly, ******* ****, at their convenience, may call our customer service line, and they will be directed to a representative who can assist them with any additional questions.

    I am rejecting this response because: As stated in my original complaint, I have already paid a total of $4,122.13 back, which covers all of these loans plus $1,372.13 in interest. I am requesting a one-time courtesy of this account to be considered settled and paid because you have received much more than the original cost of all of my loans combined.

    I have been a member of Cash Advance Now since last year. On October 7th,2023 I was eligible to take out a secondary loan of $700.00 weekly on Fridays. I had gone out of town October 16th,2023 due to a family emergency. When I returned my hours were reduced I had requested to revoke my ACH until I was able to get back on my feet. On December 30th,2023 I reached out to CFPB and I received a response on January ******* and the response I received said I have partial payments.and that Cash Advance Now is willing to make a settlement of $447.00 The payment plan began on May 31st,2024 of $44.78 8 bi weekly payments. I reached out in June and asked if I can make my payments monthly instead and my first monthly was July 26th,2024 of $75.00 and the Second Payment was $75.00 on August 26th,2024 and the last payment was made September 26th,2024 of $75.00. I was affected by hurricane ****** and because of that my hours were cut because my job closed due to hurricane ****** and I was out of work for 3 days. I asked if I can move the payment and it was deferred to November 26th,2024 of $75.00 making the maturity date to January 27th,2025. I am trying to get back on track the balance on this settlement is $178.03. I am on a fixed income barely getting by and I have been struggling financially for a year and a half and I have Doctor's Appointments which is costing me money. I do not want to be struggling I would like to settle for what has been paid towards this loan and close this account. I look forward to a resolution to this matter

The APR is disclosed on the Cash Advance Now website and is prominently displayed in loan documents that are reviewed and signed by the customer.

    We communicated with ****** ******* directly in an effort to resolve their previously expressed concerns. Our settlement offer represented the remaining principal balance owed on the loan. All interest and fees were waived. Cash Advance Now was simply looking to be made whole.
