I have a certified XC90 Inscription that I took to get a state inspection on Friday, October 6th at Meineke. Out of all my years having an inspection performed, this was by far the most excessive which took over an hour to complete. I watched the technician take several photos of my vehicle from top to bottom, use a drill for something I could not see, and literally witnessed him shake all of my tires. I didn't feel good about the entire situation. Finally, I was informed my vehicle failed the inspection due to a nail in my rear tire, and was recommended by the store manager to have my rear tires replaced. May I add I still have plenty of tread as I just had my annual service completed at the ***** dealership recently. Icame to the conclusion this was not a safety issue and I have proof of what was taken out of my tire which was the size of HALF a fingernail. Furthermore, I have never had to put any air in this particular tire. This issue had no bearing on my vehicle passing the state inspection. I proceeded to return the next day after the s**** was taken out and plugged as instructed by the manager since Meineke wouldn't/couldn't fix it which was understandable. This miniscule of a nail/screw was too close to the sidewall that didn't need to be taken out in the first place. Needless to say, I was still told I wasn't going to pass. Given sales managers make commissions, the intention was basically to upsell me on new tires. The decision not to pass my vehicle was at the discretion of the technician and the store manager. Personally, I feel this is bad business practice. I also took a photo of what was removed from the tire and you actually have to zoom to see it in my hand.

I called Meineke around 12:35pm on 5/16 inquiring about a AC ************** I spoke to a lady & explained to me that I'll be paying $219.32 for a A/C diagnostic and Recharge w/ Dye. I signed the ************** to drop off my car. Minutes later I was sent a form on my phone about the multiple services that needed to be done in my car, and i proceeded to accept the SAME SERVICE I was told I was going to receive when I initially sign. I NEVER received a call nor vm or text to acknowledge my concern. 3 hrs went by and I called to check on my car, they said the car was "ready" yet never told me what the issue w/ the car was & proceeded to transfer me to the store manager ****** . He was VERY RUDE and 1st thing he said on the phone was "I see you declined the compressor, is it too much money for you", then continued to have and attitude and seem like was bothered by my questions or my concern about the price that was never informed to me because THEY NEVER CALLED ME TO EXPLAIN THE MAIN ISSUE WITH THE **** Then told I needed to pay $219.32 yet no service was done to the car. I then proceed to go to the facility with the intensions of getting a clear of the situation. ****** was very disrespectful to me. Said he was "tired of explaining the situation to me" and that "no services where performed" yet still had to pay $219.32 for a service i did not receive. A men who claims to the tech who worked on my car, overheard the situation and came to explain to me everything to me nicely and as he was doing so, ****** in a rudely tone told him "this is not your job, go do what your supposed to be doing" & continued to raise his voice and argue w/ me. He kept making the point of "you have to pay it, he has to feed his kids". He refused to apologize to me or give me a refund. Overall this was horrible experience. Not only was I RIPPED OFF my money but also never attempted to inform me of what the issue was because according to ****** "he had other cars to work on".
