The day I moved, it rained, but instead of a disaster flick, they turned it into a romantic comedy with a happy ending. The rain was not a light drizzle but a tremendous, torrential downpour.Review from Laura W

The initial communication was terrific. ***** had assured us that there would be excellent communication and transparency. Once they had our money, nothing could be further from the truth. I had put in several calls to find out information never returned our calls. The customer service representative was beyond rude, inept, ignorant, and simply the most horrible person to deal with. She had no information other than a terrible attitude. The only saving ***** was the men who packed our belongings. I WOULD NEVER EVERY RECOMMEND OR USE MAYZLIN RELOCATION services again. !!!RUN---DO NOT WALK FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! We used this company back in ********* to make a move from ************* to *******. . After they picked up my mothers stuff they told us it would be dlvrd w/in a week. ****. We made multiple calls and sent emails. Never got a response back. You would think they would keep you in the loop. This company did not!!!! They refused to answer calls and emails as i stated. We did speak to a woman 1 time in the office and she stated that it was on the way. Thats it. I finally had to call in to the ***** NUMBER to get a live person. And even than it was like pulling teeth to get an exact date. I actually had to remind the sales person I spoke to that my 82 year old mother, who the move was for, was up in ******* in the winter, with only 1 suitcase of clothes!!!! (She flew up) The sales *** finally said he would find out and have someone call us back. Suprise they did call back and gives us a exact day. When the delivered our mom's stuff finally before they unloaded the truck They told my brother the finale price. It was much higher than stated. They driver stated that they "had " to move our stuff between 2 trucks which added $650.00. Than they charged us for having to walk up 2.....2 extra steps $75.00 each step. The driver told my brother that if he didn't pay the amount, they would get back in the truck and leave and he could call back after the new year to discuss it further. Having no choice and the fact that they had all my my 82 year old mothers clothes furniture ect. He gave into the forced "request" Again after they unloaded the truck they gave my brother the reciept, and as stated There was NOTHING NOT A THING written on it about the 2 truck move (legelly they have to put all charges ) and the additional 2 steps. When asked again about that, the driver in charge told my brother to call the office and take it up with them and drove off. We did call and never got a response back. While we aim to deliver as quickly as possible, delays can sometimes occur due to order consolidation, weather conditions, or logistical challenges. We apologize if our communication did not meet your expectations, and we are actively working to improve responsiveness.Concerning the additional charges, per our policy, any required shuttle service due to truck transfers incurs an additional cost of $1.00 per cubic foot (with a $500 minimum), and stair fees apply for extra flights of stairs beyond the first one. We understand that these charges may have come as a surprise, and we apologize for any miscommunication regarding pricing. All additional fees were documented and sign by your representative n the final receipt at the time of delivery, please see two screen shots attached.Customer Response

I do not agree with the above statement from Mayzlin. The main focal point(s) here is the factor that Mayzlin Relocation knowingly did not inform myself or my brother(s) regarding the need to suposedly transfer / move items between 2 trucks.The non contact from after mulitple calls we maderegarding delievry of our furniture and home goods. Regarding the possiable transfer , move or any additional feesThe moving company is required to contact the party and inform them of any and all changes to the cost of the move. Which they did not do. The other issue(s) is when they arrived to deliver our furniture the driver told my brother the new price (looking at the finale reciept no detailed information is written on that document about what the price increase was for, (move furniture between trucks(s) ) nothing listed for the 2 "additional" steps they had to ******* is blank w/ none of that info provided. From the Services and Charges down. NO WRITTEN EXPLANATION is given No documatation is provided, (We can supply) for said addtional charges. I was under the imperssion that legaly a businiess is supposed to, well required to provide a detailed reciept for any and all charges for any work they provide or have to add. They didn't. The other issue is when my brother asked about the additional charges the driver told him that if he did not want pay they would take our stuff and leave and we could discuss getting it delivered at a latter date when we agree to pay.(This was not addresed or mentioned above in Mayzlin's response back) So we were FORCED to pay the additional fees. In regards to the STAIRS that they say were there, they were only 2 additional STEPS into the building, from there straight shot to the elevator and than to condo in question, no other stairs or steps. Now regarding the moving of our furniture and belogings between the trucks or any otherwise non stated location , per your work orders in hand written notation. They picked up our furniture and delivered said furniture in the same truck.(willing to supply said doc's) YOUR handwritten documents) Van # 2WD7837. So why was there a charge if everything stayed in the same truck from start to finish?? As stated, the truck number you used to deleiver our furniture and other home goods is DOCUMENTED iand handwritten on both documents. The exact same truck number.(2WD7837) We arer requesting the amount of $650.00 refunded back to us, since there is and was no written proof (DETAILED) break down of any or all charges on provided reciept , contact eithier verbaly or by mail or email before or after said move of items We also have filed a formal complaint with the ***** . AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Mayzlin is DELIBERATELY shady! I had to do a military move out on short notice and contacted Mayzlin. ******* ******** was my *** that promised me a "white glove, professional experience." I told him I needed my things by a specific date and he contacted dispatching and ensured me they could deliver by my date. The packers arrived and were all Russian and Ukrainian immigrants with zero "professional moving experience." Half of them spoke zero english and the other have broken english, making it very difficult to communicate about packing. The packers also arrived about 6pm after driving 8+hrs, so I had to stay/be available until approx. 10pm, which was very frustrating. After they loaded up everything I never heard from Mayzlin to coordinate a delivery time/date. The week of my no later than date I started trying to call. They NEVER answered their phones, nor ever called back when I left VMs. However, someone will always answer their sales line, but refuse to actually put anyone on the line to help. I got my belongings 3wks AFTER my NLT date and was forced to miss required military training due to this. Once delivered a bunch of random strangers showed up to unload. While speaking to them I learned they all applied to a ********** add Mayzlin had posted. Additionally, aside from all the broken furniture, they did not allow proper inventorying and I was told I could "file in the claims later." Once filing claims I was told I did not document any broken or missing items at time of delivery. *DO NOT BE FOOLED BY 5 STAR REVIEWS!*Every detailed 1 star complaint on Reddit, ******, and BBB is followed up with fake accounts giving 5 star reviews with generic sentences that typically counter what ever the lengthy complaint was.Review from Jennifer E

Posted to Yelp!Review of Mayzlin Relocation In October 2024, I enlisted Mayzlin Relocation for an interstate move from ***** to *********. Unfortunately, due to a bout with COVID, I had to cancel the move before finalizing the date. I was disappointed to learn that I was outside the service window for a refund, but *****, my representative, was incredibly understanding. He placed my move on hold for a future date and was very accommodating with all my questions, promising his ongoing ************ forward to December, after recovering from not just COVID, but also pneumonia and laryngitis, I revisited the idea of moving. Upon researching Mayzlin, I was concerned by several one-star reviews online. With this in mind, I contacted ***** again, this time requesting a refund, given the circumstances. To my surprise and relief, ***** not only listened but also advocated on my behalf to his supervisor. Within minutes, I had my refund processed and received the cancellation documents for my signature.Despite the negative reviews, my experience with Mayzlin Relocation has been nothing short of exemplary. ******* professionalism and the company's integrity shone through during my interactions. They treated me with respect and kindness even though I wasnt the easiest client. I would give Mayzlin Relocation five stars without hesitation. Their customer service, particularly during challenging times, was outstanding. If and when I decide to move again, I hope Mayzlin will welcome me back as a customer.Review from Jefferson P

I have never used movers this well-organized. They unloaded the boxes in the proper order, beginning with the necessities and working their way up to the heavier stuff. They labelled each box based on the room. The entire procedure was methodical, and it ensured the relocation was completed on schedule.
