      A family member with a major learning disability signed up for a Trial period with Legal Templates, LLC using my debit card. She enjoys doing things on the computer and pretending she works as a lawyer, secretary, my assistant, etc. She is a very sweet, child-like girl and meant no harm. I have been ill for several months and have not gone online to view my bank statements. I went online today and was surprised to find 6 charges from Legal Templates, LLC. There were two charges on the same date of December 18, 2023 ($1.00 and $38.95). On 1/16/2024, I was charged $39.95. On 2/16/2024, I was charged $39.95. On 3/18/2024, I was charged $39.95. Lastly, on 4/17/2024, I was charged $39.95. I called Legal Templates, LLC and talked to a representative named ****. She talked me into getting a plan for $9.95 per month for my family member. I decided to do this plan so my disabled family member could occupy herself with something I consider somewhat educational. I learned she never used Legal Templates ALL of January 2024, February 2024, AND March 2024. She did not realize she still had access to the forms until she tried it in April. She had thought it was cancelled after she used it during the Trial period in December 2023, in which I was charged $1.00. Please refund $38.95 billed December 18, 2023, $39.95 billed January 16, 2024, $39.95 billed February 16, 2024, and $39.95 billed March 18, 2024. Total Refund should be $158.80.My mother recently passed away and I have been ill for several months and now need surgery. This has caused me a great deal of stress learning of these charges from Legal Templates, LLC.

       I am rejecting this response because:  I will not accept a refund for just two months.  

      Why is Legal Templates charging drastically higher prices each month if a customer does not call up

      and cancel?  It seems unethical for a business to act in this manner.  Your rate suddenly becomes $9.95

      per month as soon as a person calls to cancel.  I should have been charged only $9.95 after the trial period.

      As I stated, I want a refund for 4 months.

      I contacted the business via their support email after canceling the membership under my account and noticing that they were attempting to charge my bank account still for this membership. To which I received no response and still have yet to receive a response. The company kept trying to charge my bank account repeatedly everyday until the account had money and when it did, they took the full membership amount even though I had cancelled the membership way in advance to being charged for said membership.

      Since November 2023, I've been charged $39.95 monthly without notification that my trial period had ended or that I was still subscribed. Despite not using the service for the last 4 months, totaling $159.80 in payments, when I emailed the business hoping to resolve the issue, their response was dishearteningly rigid: they claim their system cannot accommodate refunds for cancellations beyond the initial 7-day trial period. This lack of flexibility or willingness to engage in constructive dialogue is deeply disappointing as they offered no alternative solutions or room for negotiation. Thank you for your assistance.

      I signed up for this service to get a template for a contract related to some contract work I was doing. I kept the account active just in case I accepted another contract. Now I am attempting to end my service through this company. Their website does not allow logins at this time and multiple attempts to reset my password are failing saying that portion of their website isn't available.I want to cancel and they are making it impossible. I am going to have my bank stop payments to their company, but this should NOT HAPPEN. My e-mails from them do not even show my username, etc. Just "Thanks for Signing Up". Clearly I have been scammed. Based on other complaints this has become even more apparent.

      My husband and I are going through a separation and I thought about filing for divorce and wanted to see how difficult the process would be so I checked out legal templates and paid 1.00 I never printed anything or used their services and I canceled the same day however there are two transactions on my debit card for ***** both of which I did not agree to.       As most of the other complaints about this business have mentioned, you sign up for a 7 day trial and then they provide no way through their website to cancel the membership and/or account until the subscription has started and you have been charged.The site is deceptive in their billing practices and makes it seems like you won't be charged at the end of your trial as there is no is no way to cancel the membership during the trial, leading the consumer to believe that you will not be charged.Immediately when I was charged, I reached out to customer service to refund the subscription and they refused with the generic message that it is in all of there other responses here. I am worried that not only will they not refund me, but will continue to charge my account even though I am able to now cancel my membership now that I have paid.

      Charged without permission I signed up by paying for $1.00 to try out legal templates. I found another company that offered the same services for free of charge, so I cancelled on the company's website after several pop-*** asking me to stay. Today I was charged ***** for services that I am sure I cancelled prior to the end of my trial period. When I went to resubmit my cancellation a second time, I attempted to get a refund and it told me that my subscription would be cancelled on April 11th (a month from today) and not today even though I no longer need these services. I am essentially being forced to pay for a month of service, March 11 to April 11th even though I no longer want this subscription and will not use it. I want a refund and the phone number provided on the charge offers little to no resolution to cancel my month that was just charged to my card today and I will not be and have not been utilizing services from this company. I hate being bullied to make purchases that I have no intentions of using.

      I signed up for a free trial for $1.00 from legal templates. I tried to cancel it 2 days later but apparently it didn't cancel because I was changed $39.95 a month for many months. My wife discovered this while helping me with purging our files. I am 75 years old and believe that this company should be investigated by the authorities because they obviously don't make it easy to cancel and fraudulently charge people continuously by "renewing" every month. I fully believe their practice preys on people and they should be shutdown.

      This company has stolen $160 dollars from me in the last 4 months. I have no idea how they got my information but when I addressed the issue with them I was told that they would return only half of my money. This was presented as a fair solution to money that was taken fraudulently to begin with, but the catch was that I would have to agree to not report the remaining balance to my credit card company for recovery. Their customer service emails are manipulative and aim to extort while refusing to accept any wrongdoing. Anyone who works for this company should be utterly ashamed to be affiliated with such a lowlife career choice. I now have to get a new card and reset all my accounts thanks to these thieves but it seems that was their intent all along. Inconvenience me to the point that Id settle with being robbed of $80 rather than $160 than engage with my bank. They are disgusting. And yes, BBB I am more than willing to lend my experience to news media, thanks for asking.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and while this remedy falls exceedingly short of reasonably ethical business practices in the complete and full return of ALL stolen money at this time I am open to receiving $120 of the $160 fraudulent charges back to my credit card. It is extremely disappointing that intentionally predatory companies like this are allowed to operate at all.
