Truliant Federal Credit Union is violating my consumer rights by still reporting a charge off account that has been cancelled to my credit profile. Truliant Federal Credit Union is in violation of the **** laws 15 USC 1681 S-2 and 15 USC 1681E(B). If this is not resolved in a timely manner, I am forced to seek legal action against Truliant Federal Credit Union for violating my consumer rights.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Per the attachments provided which shows my Experian credit file, the company has written off the balance due. This means that the company has received a tax write off and the debt has been cancelled or discharged. ************ is providing false information to the credit bureaus. Please provide the 1099-c as you indicated (in the screenshots attached of my Experian file) that the balances have been written off. Additionally, I am requesting accurate information reporting to the credit bureaus. As a result of the write off as indicated by the company, the debt is now discharged, so the account should be removed from my credit profile.

Per the reporting to the credit bureaus and the screen shots included, your company has already written the debt off with the ***. Per the description provided to the credit bureaus, your company advised that the amounts have been written off. Therefore a 1099-c should be issued as your company is now reporting the debt as taxable income to the ***. Please provide a 1099-c and remove the accounts from my ********************** profile. Went over payments with borrower to discover there was no 30 days past due. Payments are due on the 20th of the month. There were two payments made on Aug 15, 2024 and the 29th before the 30 days. They told me to dispute what they reported incorrectly. This makes my second issue with this bank.Business Response

This report is about a 30 day notice they reported on my credit report the other day on my CC not my auto Loan. The auto loan was reported back in June of 2024 not sure why this was brought up. The car loan has since been paid off for over a year now so one late couldnt possibly be bad out of 6 years of having the terms of the loan. I have also made 3 calls out requesting to discuss the matter with a manager and still have yet to receive the call. Truliant can you attach the call log and messages left to call back ? what this dispute was about is the bank reported on my Cc account of 31 days past due and I asked how bc my payments are due on the 20th of each month so we are now in March 20th 2025 and my account is 6 days past due with a payment scheduled March 27th which by now brings the account current as of today. The reason the account fail behind was due to the 3 family losses occurred in my family within a two month span . Attached you will find my pay summary which outlines my payments made. I went so far back to June 20 2024 Explain where the payments went 30 days pd on my CC when my payments are due on the 20th of each month. There 1 one failed payment but that followed up with two payments behind iof t which still occurred before the payment due datof the 20th .Business Response

Sent proof of insurance the day I bought vehicle. Price of insurance was added to my loan, to which I Immediately called was told to pay my normal loan amount that the insurance would be reimbursed on my loan in fifteen days. I found an account on my ********************** report for a past due account with **********************, I have never used them or any of their services, the closest location to where I live is over 3 hours away, I do not travel for work or for recreation, there is no reason for me to have any connection to this bank. I believe someone created an account using my name and social security number, the only bank I have ever used is State Employees Credit Union. I have tried calling their 800 number numerous times and can't get an answer. The local number I was given goes to the voicemail of a woman named *******, I have left a message with no returned call, They attempted to call me one time while I was at work and missed the call, in the voicemail I was given the 800 number to call back. Official Letter sent by Certified Mail. Waiting on confirmation of delivery. Rescission of Contract. 1.Undue Influence - by Obligor, Borrower One, AYSIA ******* ****. ***** **** operates this vehicle, I do not possess this vehicle. She forced me to sign this loan as a cosigner so she would get a lower monthly payment. I did not want to be on a loan for a car that I do not operate. -Exhibit C 2.Misrepresentation by Seller, Truliant Federal Credit Union Agents, failed to provide a lasting resolution to my ongoing concerns. Exhibit C 3.Lack of Capacity- Obligor, *** CMONE ******** was not of sound mind on the date the contract was signed. Obligor was experiencing emotional distress due to a mistake on a prior loan with Truliant ending in * 6376. Exhibit C 4.Creditor, TRULIANT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, continues to act in bad faith by lacking fairness in fulfilling obligations and regulations and failing to provide required disclosures. Exhibit A 5.Fraud - by Lender intentionally concealed important mandatory information. All the other required information was disclosed in the Loan Agreements and Disclosures statement except how to rescind the contract within 3 days. Exhibit A 6.Extortion - 18 US Code 1951 Borrower was fearful of being held liable for previous loan (and current loan) if borrower did not comply with all the demands of Truliants Agents. Exhibit B 7.Failure to Provide Required Disclosures Lenders are required to provide certain disclosures to borrowers. I am rejecting this response because: Truliant has failed to address the **** and other Laws / regulations that have been listed as violations. Until the law is upheld , Truliant will be held accountable for their failure to address those exact concerns.
They have responded and said someone else must complete a task, this does not excuse them from their failure to directly address the violations they continue to ignore that I am bringing forward. Rescission of a contract is LEGALLY permissible up to 3 years if the company fails to disclose specific information required by law.
Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. The law is not discretionary, it is mandatory.
Truliant is attempting to act above the law. If there is no attempt to resolve this mutually , I will proceed with the next best step to continue this process.

On December 27th 2024 I initiated an external transfer from my Truliant checking account to my *************** checking account in the amount of $1800. The transfer request number is *********. My account was verified fully on the Truliant website online banking, so no issues should have come from this transfer being completed. The money was removed from my account the next day. My plan was to close my Truliant checking account once all funds have been removed. I called Truliant customer care and spoke with them a few days later when my account balance was at zero, and they stated I was clear to go ahead and close the account. On January ******** I received an automated email from Truliant stating that the $1800 transfer could not be deposited into the external account, and would be deposited back into my Truliant checking account (the one that was already closed) within 3-5 days. I gave it about a week to see if my account would automatically be reopened due to the deposit being sent back. After trying to get Truliant phone support to help me for 5 days with zero resolution, I stopped into my local Truliant bank and asked that someone assist me with getting my $1800 back. The Truliant advocate at the local store was super nice and went ahead and reopened the account. She stated to give everything another week, and the transfer should show up back in my account. I went back into the store on 1/21 and was informed that my checking account was now -****** due to an overdraft fee and *** charge that was not cancelled by accident. All I want is for my $1800 to either be sent to me in the form of a check, or refunded to my Truliant checking account. I also am requesting the overdraft be waived. I understand the *** charge that went thru will need to be paid partially using the missing $1800. Can someone please help me and my wife get our missing money. We are going on 1 month. I have an account with **********************. I did a balance transfer from my Truliant credit card to my newly opened Discover card to catch up on payments and avoid interest for the next 18 months per the balance transfer bonus when opening a new account with Discover. The transfer went from pending on ********* end to posted in a matter of days. The Truliant credit card amount plus the balance transfer fee was successfully posted to my Discover balance on November 26, 2023. It is now December 20th, 2023 and Truliant has yet to show the transfer complete. I still have the balance on the credit card and Truliant is saying they never got a payment. I have tried contacting them MULTIPLE times via email and phone and no one can give me an answer. I did a balance transfer with my **** to my Discover the same day that I did the Truliant transfer and had zero issues, it posted and the new balance on my AMEX was $0. I DEMAND Truliant rectify this immediately because they said there is ZERO RECORD of a transaction or anything pending and in the mean time I still have to make payments and accrue interest. EVEN THOUGH THE EXACT SAME BALANCE IS CURRENTLY ACTIVE ON TWO ACCOUNTS. One on Discover. And one on Truliant. This is unacceptable and I am FURIOUS with the customer service Ive been receiving from them. They have done nothing to investigate. Ive had to enlist Discover to do an investigation but Truliant has acted aloof, uninterested and uneducated about their own accounts and how they manage them. Im livid.Business Response

I am a victim of identity theft. Someone took out a loan in my name and bought a car through Truliant federal credit union. I initially contacted them on 8/05/24 about the problem. I have called them multiple times. This loan still shows on my credit bureau and is affecting my credit scores. This misfortune has cost me thousands of dollars and I have done everything I have been asked to do. I have talked to all 3 credit bureaus multiple times. I am paying monthly fees to places to help me resolve the problem. Truliant has nothing to help resolve the issue. Im responding back to discuss the resolution to resolve the situation. I would like Truliant Federal credit bureau to investigate the case in which they have on file which will show that this is a fraudulent loan. Then I would like them to resolve the issue of the loan and clear this off of my credit bureaus. They refuse to let me talk to the person working the case or to return my phone calls . My my credit score continues to drop. due to an unpaid loan in which I did not take out. I have personally talked to the owner of the dealership who admits he was scammed, and the car was stolen. The owner of the dealer sent me a copy of the fake ID in which was used to purchase the car. The man in the photo has been arrested in ************** while in possession of another stolen car. He currently reside in ****************, **************, where he is imprisoned. The biggest issue currently is the lack of communication with this credit bureau so this situation can be resolved.
