    I received an email offer for seeding and aeration for $100. Upon follow up the quote ballooned to twice that with taxes. I have a small lawn. 5400 sq ft total. Very much a bait and switch. It would be honest to state anything about lawn size or sq footage. Will not use their services now or ever. Seems others have had issues with Heartland Lawns too.

    I was really upset to see this company spraying neighbors healthy trees with bug poison. When I asked the employee doing it if he had first checked trees to see if they had bugs he wouldn’t answer and was very rude. Poison should be used with extreme caution It should not be sprayed for no reason Those pine trees have bird nests in them, and birds hang out in those trees. Poison is bad for the trees too. Poison is bad for the whole environment

    Very poorly managed company. They removed my call ahead request and never contacted me before starting up service for the new season. I was going to reduce or cancel the service due to work we were having done in the yard but never received my courtesy call so they showed up unannounced and treated a lot of the yard that is going to be removed. When I contacted them to let them know about the error, they took days to even call back and then said I was responsible since I did not call to remove the service. Since i clearly requested call ahead service, I am beyond frustrated that they think they can just charge without following customer instructions. Very greedy company that does not care about customers and they lost my service over $34. Every season I was paying over $400 but hey, if they want to do business like amateurs that will reflect on them.

    Time to move on to another company for lawn care due to Heartland Lawns and their disappointing customer service and disregard for customers' time. They called me over a week ago to schedule my winterization, and I was told someone would be here between 8 AM and noon. So, I planned my day accordingly because I was told someone would need to be here when they arrived. When they didn't show up by noon, I had to call them three times to get someone to answer my call. Once they answered, I was told someone would be on their way later today - they could not give me an exact time. It is now way past the noon hour, so I have wasted my entire morning waiting for someone to show up. Earlier in the summer, I scheduled a mid-season sprinkler check for 8 AM and was told that I would be the first job for the day. Again, I was told someone would need to be home when they arrived. So, I took the morning off work and sat here waiting. I called to see where the guy was shortly after 9 AM and was told he was about an hour out because he had other jobs ahead of me. We have continued to use Heartland Laws because the service has been impeccable in previous years. Clearly, scheduling is not their forte. If you don’t have time to waste waiting on them to show up for scheduled service, that they don’t show up to do, call another company. That’s what I’ll be doing.

    I would give them no stars if that were possible. We have had heartland lawns for over 10 years and the last 3 years they have gone down hill very quickly. I do realize there is a help problem but they have no problem collecting the higher prices for the lawn care. We have requested our prepaid remaining money back for almost 2 weeks now and still no check. They work has gone downhill and the office help has a lot to be desired. They try to say you must give them written notice of cancellation or they continue to charge you. We have an email stating we are canceled but they are holding back our remaining payments. Would NOT recommend!

    I cancelled my service with Heartland Lawns after the 2021 season and they continued to provide services for the next year after my cancellation and after I was no longer living at my residence. They called me in the spring of 2023 to try and collect payment before they started services again for the next season. I informed them that I had cancelled my services in 2021 and they said they had no record of my cancellation and that if I did not pay the current invoice I would be sent to collections. Very disappointed that a company ignore a cancellation request from a client and continue to bill for unauthorized services.
