I have a home warranty with them I've had a leaky water heater for 3 weeks they have told me they keep trying to find a technician I live in a town of ******* people I can get a plumber out here in a day or two I have tried their reimbursement option but none of the local plumbers want to work with them all they tell me is they're going to escalate the dispatch it's a water heater leak very simple for someone to come out and take a look I think I am being scammed I'm paying for a service and not getting anythingReview from Cathy C

I filed a claim re: the need for someone to come look at a leaky toilet; they sent a handyman (that had requested not be sent because of a job he botched 2 years prior. ) He left with my $60 check w/o fixing the toilet; I lodged a complaint against him and was informed he didn't have to look at it because the initial claim stated it was a leak under the sink. That was Never the case. Someone there injected that into the claim making it null and void. This went on for a Month before culminating in this final call. $600 1 year policy. CHW denied multiple claims for our home.$75 Plumbing - denied for physical damage, argue its cast iron and spontaneously cracks due to normal wear and tear, manager agreed but still denied claim. This took 3 separate technicians over 4 months to finally submit, first 2 techs ghosted and each time we had to argue with CHW to get them to send another out.$75 Electrical 1st claim- timed out 30 days, had power company replace exterior wires and by the time we got back to CHW it was outside window.$75 Electrical 2nd claim- incorrect wiring in attic, got strung along for months, had it fixed and documented by electrical contractor separate from CHW, argued with CHW that our main breaker is going out and need to be replaced. they have listed our home as "electrical issues persist" and will not cover any further claims until that breaker is replaced. That is why we are having the electrical issues and made the claim, upon all the troubleshooting and minor repairs, we know now what the cause is, but CHW is putting that back on us, the customer, to fix. As I was informed, for example, if our fridge, dishwasher, clothes washer, any applicant that is plugged in went out, they would deny our claim going forward. Essentially CHW has removed coverage from our home and still has the audacity to call and attempt to get us to renew. I was called insignificant by the last operator. This company is a sham. Called and made a claim about my hot water heater leaking water. April 28th the pro handy fixer company was a no show. When I called they said they no longer work for Choice because they dont pay you. I called Choice to inform them and on May 15th they sent ******* plumbing. Once again they were a no show. I called them and got the exact same story they dont work for them anymore because they dont pay them!! When I tried to reach out to choice this time I was continually hung up on! I was also informed that they continually change their name because of this scam of a business keeps getting outed. Their sales people are fast talkers and get you hook line and sinker so I paid a year upfront. Just avoid them, this is NOT a legit business!!Review from Ashley D

This is just the worst company ever. As slightly still new home owners, this company failed us completely and would not cover our ac being repaired. It's sad as homeowners we pay all this money for bad service. I'm pretty sure we have a legit case for an attorney, just don't have enough time to deal with it. Total BS You can NEVER talk to anyone. You can be put on a callback que. I was NEVER contacted. I was NEVER called.No appointment was scheduled. NOTHING was done to address a claim.Apparently CHOICE Home Warranty is a complete scam.Review from Carey C

Horrible customer service, continually calls, disrupts my business while I am working all because I made the mistake of requesting a quote to place on a home I listed for sale. I purchased a home warranty from someone else and this company will not STOP calling me. I have attempted to explain this was a one time quote call only,( not even a purchase), and to please remove me from their phone list. All they do is hang up on me mid sentence and I can't even speak to anyone to stop the calls when I call them to ask to stop being harassed on a daily basis.Review from Tiffanny B

I have three different claims open. One claim has been open for over 2 months and still has not been resolved. My washer is leaking water. It is a stackable. I have informed choice several times there needs to be 2 technicians to complete the job. They agreed to send two technicians but each time someone had arrived they stated they were unaware it was a stackable.Second claim is for the a/c this claim is 1 month old. I live in a condo and water is dripping on the outside structure and there is uneven cooling. I contacted choice. They sent the same technician twice and the problem wasnt resolved. My HOA fined me $250 for the problem not being fixed. I contacted choice and told them I would take legal action against them and then their response was the problem is due to the structure. If it was because of the structure this problem would have been ongoing since the property was built. I requested a second opinion choice failed to send someone out. Therefore I had to have someone come and fix it. The technician stated there is nothing wrong with the structure and also that the original technician did not clear the primary and secondary of water. He also provided pictures.Lastly, the water heater has been broke going on 3 weeks. I have 3 small children and we have gone without hot water for three weeks. I contacted choice and told them if my water heater was not fixed that week we would have to get a hotel and choice needs to reimburse. We havent been able to take showers in almost three weeks! I notified choice we are staying in a hotel and they refused to reimburse hotel stay and water heater is still not repaired. Technician stated its not repairable after several troubleshooting and recommended replacing and choice still hasnt authorized. Going on 3 weeks now hot water.There are three claims submitted to choice and not a single one has been resolved. I bought a policy from Choice Home Warranty in May of 2023. I needed to call them and have them come out and check my air conditioner unit. The first guy came out twice and couldn't figure out what was wrong. He told me that he would not be coming back. This company sent him from 2 hours away. They then sent another guy who lived 2 1/2 hours away who said that there were "no mechanical problems, no repairs needed or recommended. Today, July 16, 2024, I called a reputable company out to fix the unit and was told that I had no freon, that I need a capacitor and a list of other things. I called Choice Home Warranty, and they said there is nothing they will due since I cancelled my policy. I cancelled because they did not do what they promised and what the policy indicated. They refused to send me to a manager BUT they would send me to sales so I can purchase another warranty. They should be repairing the unit since i was covered when they came out 3 times. We have had this warranty company since 2019. We have found their policies favoring them instead of the customer. Above all, their techs appear to be wanting and CW forces these apparent unqualified and unincorporated techs down the throat if the customer. The initial tech a plumber thought he was a metallurgist in determining that a copper drain pipe failed due to corrosion and not wear out. Other techs were not from the *** area. Vetting of the last tech to repair an ***************** showed that he represented a firm that could not be found within the *** area. Upon discovering this customer requested another tech. This went on for well over a month. Customer asked if he should furnish another tech from a well established repair company. CW continued with their repair tech who had trouble communicating. Customer after waiting for a replacement tech had the oven repaired at a cost of $297.00 CW denied honoring the claim cost. Customer also is waiting for an approved repair reimbursement from Sept 2023 for $410. CW is citing that they could nit read the receipt. Could not determine why they could not call the tech and discuss the issue. Hence we are out over $700 for no payment from CW. The one thing CW is famous for is raising their monthly rates. They are going to be in for a surprise but it is going to cost me another $50!! Somebody has to control these blatant crooks!
