Stranded in **************** in Katy *** Mega bus will drop off but not allow passengers to board to *******. Cant book on web or App leaving ***************************************** to *******. I called and recorded the entire conversations with **************** and supervisor who was rude and disrespectful as well as unaccountable and non accommodating. I was told sorry youre going to have to find an alternative. On your own. I said but Im stranded ***** the Supervisor says the trip is too short so we dont offer the option. I said but its leaving to go to ******* anyways from there, cant I offer cash or can you speak with a driver via call to help me? The call dropsReview from Rmkumar M

My kid had a very bad experience traveling from ***************, **. The bus was delayed by ******************************** the middle of no where, it broke down at 8:30 PM. The driver mentioned that the replacement bus was arriving in another 45 minutes and was not forthright in providing the right status. The kids were forced to wait on the side of the road for over 3 hours with no food or water! The replacement bus arrived at 11:45 PM and the bus reached ****** at around 1 AM.I am very concerned on the safety standards, the poor maintenance of these buses.Extremely callous attitude to safety, honesty and transparency.Review from Liudmila A

Megabus is a very dishonest company, scamming people online for their services. Its terms and conditions are very bad, as well as the customer service. People need to be very careful when accessing their site online through promotional emails, at least in ******. It will take you automatically to the US website and if you are not aware, you will end up purchasing services in ****** in US dollars. The company places all the responsibility on customers when it should not be the case. It is their responsibility to ensuring ********* access the right website and purchase services in CAD, otherwise they are breaking the law and it is backed up by their terms and conditions. So, they basically legally scammed people online and it is wrong. In case this happens, customers should be *********** a refund to purchase tickets in the right currency. There is a flaw in their system and should be kept accountable, not the customers. They should follow the law.Review from JP B

This bus service is nothing I can recommend.The promised WiFi is non existing and both ways from ** to *** and return it was almost delayed an hour.The toilet is not a visit worth it and the destination in *** is just a sidewalk in a. It very nice neighborhood.My last trip with mega bus, definitely.Review from Savannah R

Megabus is the worst bus service I've ever used. Our bus to ******** (from *********) broke down resulting in a three hour delay that caused ** to miss our show (which was the sole reason we were going to ********). And the only compensation they offered was redemption codes for another trip with them which is a waste because I will never be using their service again. I tried asking for a refund twice for our one way tickets but they refused. Do not use this bus service, it is a scam.Megabus.com Response

I apologize for the frustration you are experiencing. Our customers matter to us and I appreciate you bringing these types of issues to our attention so that we can investigate and get to the root cause. It is our goal to ensure we are doing everything we can to make our customers happy.
Unfortunately, you were provided a credit for the full amount paid for travel from BAL-NEW, due to the Bus Delay.
Regretably, since service was provided to ********, we are unable to provide a Refund verses a Redemption Code that was provided.
In addition, we are unable to provide you a full Refund for the ************** cost of $59.98, as the exchange did not differ from the original amount paid for travel in which service was provided to the final Destination.
Due to the issue of you having to change the tickets for a later service, we will only be able to refund you the amount for the amendment fee charged ($7.50 and $7.00) for the agent amending your ticket.

Had a round ticket from ********* to **. My family with two kids have to wait for one full hour in cold ,rainy and windy weather on 11/21/23. They told us the bus was to be delayed by 15 min and end up delayed by 1 hr and even they don't apologize.Review from Prishavi K

Worst bus service ever. Been waiting for at least an hour at 7 in the morning, and no bus came. No notification on the update, nothing. Had to call them to ask about the status of the bus, and it was delayed by 2.5 hours. Came back home, still no notification after 2.5 hours, called them again, and it got delayed further for 2.5 hrs. And when I asked them about sending me updates, they said I have to call and ask them every single time. So stupid. So unprofessional. Asked for my refund, and they said I would not get until the trip is completed, which god knows when will it happen. Not advisable to chose this bus service.Review from Greg B

First megabus is NOT a discounted bus you spend just as much secondly where's the wifi that's being offered but doesn't work to long of a ride without working internet that's being advertised as convenient to use NOT DOESNT EVEN WORK I WANT PARTIAL REFUND FOR FALSE ADVERTISEMENT an the anxiety it causedReview from Brion F

Brion 1 review New feature "track my bus" My letter to Megabus: Hello, Welcome back to Northern California. I have been a loyal customer since 2010 ish and have always been happy with your service and was sad to see you leave several years ago. Unfortunately, on Tuesday May 16, 2023 your second day back to serving Sacramento to San Francisco. I missed my first bus due to your new track my bus feature. Unfortunately, it was not accurate with glitches which cause me to miss the bus all together. So I re-booked later that same day and your new tracking feature worked flawless. I had the perfect experience. I was wondering if you would be able to refund my first booking or even a credit voucher would be nice as I already have future trips planned. Thank you for your consideration. Megabus response: Hello and thank you for contacting Megabus Customer Service. I am sorry to hear you missed your bus! I understand you are requesting that refund be provided, however as outlined and stated in in the terms and conditions prior to proceeding with the purchase, all ticket sales are final. We suggest that all passengers be at the bus stop location 15 minutes before boarding to ensure timely boarding as we cannot hold the doors open for passengers who are unable to make their trip. Once our driver completes loading passengers onto the bus, the doors are shut and the parking brake is released, and the bus departs. While I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced, we are unfortunately unable to provide you with any compensation ( refund, credit) as the service was executed.
