      On January 26, 2022 we went to Jackson Hewitt to file our taxes, under my name and my husbands *************************************************** Our tax preparer *************************, got all our information exactly how we told him, and they promised us that in 2-6 weeks our tax refund would arrive. However, after 6 weeks nothing came, so we went to the *** office and they told us that the refund was already sent to Jackson Hewitt on February, so, we went to Jackson Hewitt and to our surprise, the refund was sent to a bank account that wasnt even ours and wasnt even related to us, it was a completely different bank than the one we gave the tax preparer. It was sent to BBVA Bank, but when we filed our taxes we had told them to send it to the ***** *********** we even gave them the routing number and everything, so this should not have happened. To this day, since the Jackson Hewitt inside ******* is no longer there, we went to the main office on Tyler ******* and they just keep telling us that theyre going to call us and they send us home with nothing. And when we go, the employees respond to us in a very rude manner, I understand that we keep going back to their office for help, but they are doing nothing to help us. We filed an *** complaint against our tax preparer but that does not solve the issue of the fact that we still have not received our tax refund. I am afraid that this business is doing the same to other people, and I am lost. I dont know who to turn to anymore and I just want my refund, its been 7 months. Its not fair that they keep saying, We will call you back and they never do. We have contacted the *** too but they say the same thing over again. Please help me, I would be extremely grateful.       We have looked into this matter and the Routing and Account number the funds were released to were the same as on the documents signed by the client via DocuSign.  When the clients returned to the office stating that they never received the funds a Direct Deposit Research form was submitted to ************* to request a Letter of Indemnity be sent to the receiving bank asking for the funds to be returned.  There are no guarantees that the receiving bank will return the funds.  Unfortunately, the bank did not return the funds.  The trace number for the deposit was provided to the office so the client can work directly with the receiving bank to see if the funds could be retrieved.  Jackson Hewitt and ************* have worked to try to get these funds back but there are no other options when the receiving bank refuses to send the funds back to *************.

      My husband and I filed our joint 2021 tax return with Jackson Hewitt on January 28, 2022. We have been filing our taxes with Jackson Hewitt for several years now. We went to our local office (*******, **). We sat down with the tax preparer. My first complaint is that she put the the wrong address on our taxes, but we did not see that until we got home that day because she never showed us the screen and never asked us to confirm our information. When I called to tell her the address was incorrect, she acted like it was no big deal. To her it might not have, but to us since we paid a lot of money for the service, we expected everything to be correct. My second complaint is that we were never offered the extra protection like we are offered every year. This woman just automatically declined it. After we we signed our names on the first tax document, she went through and signed the rest of them with OUR signatures and did not explain what each form was like the tax preparers have done in the past. I consider this to be fraud. After reviewing the tax forms when we got home later that day, I noticed that there was no w2 put in for myself (only my husbands). She had my occupation listed, but not my w2. I should have made sure I handed her everything (it was left in the folder that I had all my tax documents in), but since there was a occupation listed, she should have asked for my w2. So, that meant that we had to file an amended return. It took nearly 2 months for the amended return (which I understood, since it was tax season and they were busy). Our amended return was completed at an office in **********, **. It was completed on March 23, 2022. The federal was sent via the computer system, but for ** taxes, they had to be mailed to us and then I had to mail them myself. I did not receive these taxes until May 2022. Making them late. So now we will have to pay interest. If they were completed in March, why did we receive them 2 months later? I'm beyond disappointed.

      I filed my Amended tax return in 2020 and then in July of 2021 when I still had not received my check from IRS by mail and was being told by IRS they had not received called Jackson Hewitt bk last July of **************************************************************** Q at headquarters so they proceeded to say they would mail out another.Now here it is about to be July of 2022 and I still did not receive it so I called the Income Tax Help line and was told there still is no record of them reviewing my amendment .I have made several calls to ************* office and ******************* and I'm still not getting called back or my money from return which is what I want **** dollars and don't feel I should have to wait another year because of their mistakes

      Jackson Hewitt prepared our 2020 taxes. We purchased a "worry-free" ************************* (up to $1500) from the company.The preparer, 04G ************************* made an error (confirmed by Jackon Hewitt office manager, ***************************) that resulted in *** interest ($197) and penalty charges ($1,140).****** Liindley stated he sent the information to his superiors. This was in April and involved an in-person visit with ***************** and two phone calls. In the most recent call, ***************** *************) indicated we would need to pay the total interest and penalty but because of our insurance policy with Jackson Hewitt, we would be reimbursed. We paid both to the *** which turned out to be $1,315.88 because the *** reimbursed $21.12. To date, we have received no reimbursement from Jackson Hewitt guaranteed by their insurance policy and no update to indicate when we might be reimbursed.Any assistance would be appreciated.

      Jackson Hewitt have us sign an agreement for amending our tax returns for the year 2019 which were not needed because our IRS issue with completely different they ripped us off and took about $800 from us. We contacted them on 1/18/2022 around that date and spoke with *********************** one of the tax consular or sales man he was very polite until we paid him all fees. Our issue got resolved with IRS without involving them. But they misguided us saying we need an amended tax return and asked us all the documents to create it.

      Spoke with the Tax Resolution Team who has been working with the client.  They have advised that they have processed a refund of fees paid towards the Resolution Services.  The discovery fee is non-refundable and stated in documentation provided to the client prior to entering the Resolution Program.

      I am rejecting this response because: $399.99 should be refunded also since they Jackson Hewitt resolution team provided incorrect proposal that caused 30 days periods for refund for consultative fees to lapse.

      $399 is a non-refundable fee and cannot be refunded as this fee covers the work that is done during the discovery phase of the program.  We have refunded the portion of the fees that were paid that can be refunded based on dissatisfaction with the resolution path.

      A mistake was made on my 2018 tax return and I had to pay a penalty of $1416.81 in February 2022. I turned over the letter to Jackson Hewitt who said I had a first letter that I did not receive and denied my claim. I turned the letter I had over to the office on **** Avenue in February and my preparer did not turn it in on time and they denied my claim. I wish to paid back my money per the guarantee that I paid for. Unfortunately I did not keep a copy of the letter and they have it.

      I filed my taxes with Jackson Hewitt on April 7, 2022. I was suppose to get a refund of $728, on May 3, 2022, after checking the *** website (which indicated not received) I spoke with the receptionist who informed me that my taxes had been returned from the ***. There is a form that needed to be completed regarding the 2008 first home buyers. My main point is if I had never called I would not have known that my taxes had been returned. Isn't it their responsibility to inform me? I paid them $180 to prepare my taxes and I want my money back. They were not helpful when I called I don't have a laptop or printer to print the form that I need. I am a 65 year old hard working women and not that great with computers. The person who did my taxes, ***************************** was extremely professional, but their office procedures need to be changed.

      I always went to Jackson Hewitt but the last 2 times i went to them i always came out short change but this time i came to find out that i was charged for something i didn't ask for an i told her how much i was getting back she told me 358 dollars so i first got back 103 dollars so i waited for the rest of my money i never received but i still kept checking everyday but nothing until i found out that i was charged 81 dollars i didn't tell her to take out that money because i been now out of work for 5 months so i wouldn't tell her that cause i needed all the money i can get here the funny part they call me an told me that they going to give back my 81 dollars in 2 to 3 days well its been over a week

      I filed my taxes in the ****** Jackson Hewitt office on Prairie Ave. I went in the office in January to finish my taxes because I received my w-2. I was told everything was done signed all documents and that was all I had to do. It is now May and I had not heard anything about my state refund so I called the state department of revenue and was told there was no record or pending taxes for 2021. They told me to contact Jackson Hewitt. After multiple phone calls I got through to someone who informed me my state had not been submitted. And he went and submitted but could not do direct deposit. I paid almost 500$ to have my taxes done and excepted them to be done right. I have not only waited 12 weeks from the time the state started excepting taxes to now have to wait another 8 to 12 weeks for a paper check. I believe I should be refunded something for my taxes not being done right. They have a guarantee and it was not done right.

      Just going to stay out of a tax preparer in 2019 my husband and I was penalized please have $405 as the disability amount was not added to support that we have contacted the year-round office and receive my results there is no help somebody is not care about the people that came in as consumers and it shows.
