This company engages in deceptive advertising and scare tactics to attempt to get you to move your domain to their services. They mail fake bills worded in a way that makes it seem like you must pay them in order to keep your site live. I would not pay a dime to this company. They are worse than the ********* station that charges $10 a gallon outside of ************.

So why aren't they shut down yet????I am new to my position in my organization and I placed an order based on a letter from IDNS that seemed as though they owned our domain. My fault for not finding the teeny print that says it is an offer only. I placed the order with a credit card and received an immediate email confirmation.I called to cancel when I realized my mistake - spoke to someone who was exceptionally rude, which in itself is not a business practice problem (just bad business), but then never gave me a confirmation # for cancellation and no email confirming my cancellation,I called back to ask why, and again he said very rudely " you don't get one. You called we told you it was cancelled." I asked again - so you send an email confirming the order but nothing to show I've cancelled?" he said "That's right." Clearly I now I have to watch my credit card bill. Two things: 1) We are obviously still in a buyer beware world - the letter was DEFINITELY not clear. 2) I would highly recommend not doing business with this company; I have zero trust that they canceled my order. I'm looking at a previous review from **************** below - same exact experience!! I'm heartened by it though; he said he did get his money back.

This business needs to be shut down. It's a complete scam!I received what looked like an official bill for renewal for my web site domain name for the next 5 years. As this came in at the same time as my renewal for the website itself, I assumed it was legit.I went on line and paid it so that I wouldn't lose my domain name and once I did I got a notification from them that said : "In order to complete the transfer and renewal, we require the Authorization Code/EPP Key from your current registrar."I was confused by this as I thought they were my original registrar.I called to ask about this and to cancel my payment.I spoke to a customer service representative. He was incredibly brusque and short. It seemed like he deals with this same call over and over again. While he did return my money, when I asked him about the letter, he hung up on me.This is a scam and while they did return my money when I asked for it, how many people don't know to ask for it back and end up s******* themselves on their website domain name?By the look of all the reviews here, I'm not the first person to experience this.

Also received the same $265 bill. I am somewhat new to my role so I almost went through and paid it not knowing any better. Glad I checked the BBB first. I consider myself fairly wary of letters like this, but it appears just legit enough to pass muster.
